THE RECRUITERS:

Best Recruiting FirmsWhile it’s not surprising that recruiter Trey Cameron of the Cameron Craig Group made four split placements in one week, it’s also not surprising that he’s the Recruiter of the Quarter for the second quarter in Top Echelon Network.  After all, Cameron also won the Recruiter of the Quarter Award for the first quarter and has won the award on a number of other occasions, as well as the Recruiter of the Month Award.

While Cameron is currently the number-one recruiter in the recruiter split fee Network in terms of cash-in during the past 12 months, Sean Napoles, CPC of Career Brokers, Inc. is quickly closing the gap and is only the equivalent of two split placement fees behind him.  Can Napoles overtake Cameron and snap his two-year streak?  Or will Cameron three-repeat?  Stay tuned to find out!

THE AWARDS:

At Top Echelon Network, we recognize recruiters for both monthly and quarterly performance in four categories—Recruiter of the Month, Recruiter of the Quarter, Largest Split Fee of the Month, and Largest Split Fee of the Quarter.

For more information about the recruiter awards listed below, login to the Members’ Area and view the profiles and placement details of the Network recruiters who won them.

Network Recruiter Trey CameronRECRUITER OF THE QUARTER:

Trey Cameron of the Cameron Craig Group

Cameron made seven split placements during the second quarter of 2013.  That was the most of any recruiter in Top Echelon Network and two more than the second-place finishers, Debi Apple of Apple & Associates, Inc. and Michael Stuck of Gables Search Group, Inc.

Making four split placements apiece during the second quarter were Steve Kohn of Affinity Executive Search and Deb North of Deb North Consulting, LLC.

 — — —

OUR CRITERIA FOR THESE RECRUITER AWARDS:

Top Echelon Network determines the monthly and quarterly recruiter award winners based upon two things, which are listed below in order of importance:

1.) The number of split placements made
2.) The amount of cash-in dollars earned as a result of those split placements

This explains why, when multiple recruiters are tied with the same number of split placements during a given month or quarter, the recruiter with the largest ‘cash-in’ total for their placements is deemed the winner.

SPLIT PLACEMENTS THIS WEEK:

Last week, we presented a few recruiters who were “on fire” in the Network, so to speak, but none of them are able to “hold a candle” (how many pyrotechnic references am I going to make?) to Network recruiter Trey Cameron of the Cameron Craig Group.

That’s because he has four split placements in this week’s issue of The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog!  Is that surprising?  Not really.  Cameron has been Top Echelon recruiting solutions Network Recruiter of the Year for the past two years, with a three-peat directly in his sights.  The only question is this one: will there be a week when he makes five split placements?

Recruiter Groups

SURVEY QUESTION:

Success in Top Echelon Network is predicated upon a great many things, not the least of which is Active Participation, one of the Four Pillars of the Network.

Among the ways that Network recruiters actively participate are Regional Core Group meetings (such as the Kansas City meeting pictured above) and Virtual Core Group meetings, both of which Top Echelon offers.  But how often do Network recruiters participate in these Core Group meetings?

We recently conducted a survey of our Network recruiters, and that survey was based upon the following question:

Have you ever attended a Top Echelon Network Regional or Virtual Core Group meeting?

SURVEY RESULTS:

The choice of answers that were provided is listed below, along with the percentage of recruiters who selected each answer:

  • Yes, I’ve attended both. — 49.4%
  • Yes, I’ve attended a Regional Core Group meeting. — 12.7%
  • Yes, I’ve attended a Virtual Core Group meeting. — 11.4%
  • No, I’ve attended neither. — 26.6%

SURVEY ANALYSIS:

Network SurveyNearly 75% of the Network recruiters who responded to the survey have attended a Regional Core Group meeting, a Virtual Core Group meeting, or both of them.  That leaves just a quarter of participants having attended neither meeting.

If that was truly representative of the Network overall, it would bode quite well for the state of networking within Top Echelon.  However, since the recruiters most likely to attend a Virtual or Regional Core Group meeting are also the most likely to participate in a Network survey, extrapolating these results might make for a slightly skewed conclusion.

FEEDBACK:

How about YOU?  Have you attended a Regional or Virtual Core Group meeting as a Top Echelon Network recruiter?  If not, do you plan to attend one or the other in the near future?

At the Top Echelon recruiting network, we constantly encourage recruiters to post ALL of their job orders to the Network databases.  That’s because doing so increases the chances that they’ll make more placements and generate more revenue for their firms.

Pamela Ratz DeVille, CPCBut don’t take it from us: take it from a Top Producer!  That Top Producer is Pamela Ratz DeVille, CPC of the MMS Group in Brentwood, Tenn.

DeVille made seven Network splits in 2011 and four last year.  She’s currently ranked in the top 40 in the Network in terms of overall production during the past 12 months.  (Please, no references to Casey Kasem.)

In addition to posting all of her jobs to Top Echelon Network, Ratz-DeVille also advocates building and nurturing Trading Partner relationships and leveraging the power of the Hiring Hook recruiting websites.

Put all of that together, and Ratz-DeVille has made an investment in her recruitment membership in Top Echelon that has paid dividends in the form of split Network success . . . and continues to pay them.

What have been the keys to your success in Top Echelon Network?

“It has been a combination of finding a few select recruiters who understand my niche and can consistently identify and recommend good candidates and also the Platinum Recruiting sites that consistently re-post my opportunities and are well-connected.”

What value do you believe the Network provides for your firm?

“An opportunity to draw from a much broader pool of candidates and increase the odds of finding the very best.”

Who are the Trading Partners you’ve been working with?

“Trey Cameron, Bob Vogt, Kate Sousa, and a few others.”

Why do the relationships you have with your Trading Partners work so well?

“They have very good resources for reaching candidates and they understand and respect how I like to work with my clients and my partners.”

How would you describe the activity level in your niche?  (Bateman places Sales & Marketing and Retail Management professionals, among others.)

“Managed Care is very, very active right now and should continue to be for the foreseeable future. It is an excellent market but not one that is easy to learn, so I believe it keeps the number of recruiters in this space down.”

What are your goals for future production in the Network?

“I would like to find additional partners to work with and especially recruiters in my niche that have job openings I can provide with excellent candidates.”

What advice would you give to a new Preferred Member recruiter just starting out?

“Post all of your positions on TE!  You never know where you will find your greatest success until you try some things.  Be honest and direct with your partners in providing feedback.”

There are many ways to make placements in Top Echelon Network, and one of those ways is to ask Drea Codispoti for help!

Codipsoti is the Membership Development Coordinator for the Network.  As such, he helps recruiters connect with one another and share hot job orders and candidates.

And sometimes, when Drea tells a Network recruiter to call another Member, those two recruiters eventually make a split placement . . . and that’s the case again in this week’s installment of the Network’s split placements!

  • Do you have questions about your Network Membership?
  • Do you want to know who to contact about your job orders or candidates?
  • Do you want to know how to make more placements?

Then call Drea!  He’ll point you in the right direction and help get you another step closer to making a split in this network.

Matt DeutschWhat does everybody want these days?

Candidates, that’s what!  More specifically, the right candidates!  Employers want them, your clients want them, and YOU want them?

So what do you do when you don’t have them?  You turn to another split recruiter in Top Echelon Network, like the recruiters below did.  The result?  A Network split that the job order recruiter would not have made otherwise.

How do we know this?  Because as the title to this blog post indicates, the candidate that the other recruiter supplied was the only one submitted by the job order recruiter that their client interviewed.

When you keep striking out on a job order, another split recruiter can provide you with that ONE candidate you need to hit a home run.

So be sure to submit candidates to the Split Candidate Database in Top Echelon Network, and also search the Database for potential matches to your job order.  Because no matter how many times you swing and miss, your next home run could be right around the corner.

Batter up!

Matt DeutschLast week, we discussed how Hiring Hook recruiting websites are helping Network recruiters make more split placements.

Well, we’re shifting gears this week.  More specifically, our Network recruiters are shifting gears.

That’s because ALL of the Network splits in this issue of The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog can be attributed to “Regular communication with another Top Echelon Network Preferred Member recruiter.”

That pertains to the first split placement on our list, which involved something as simple as a Network recruiter responding to a job they saw in Top Echelon’s Split Databases.  That Network recruiter responded to the job with a great candidate, that candidate was interviewed, that candidate received an offer, that candidate accepted the offer, and the two recruiters involved scored a split fee!

That’s split recruiting at its finest: “Great candidate and a quick placement!”

So let’s all shift gears again and make even MORE placements, shall we?  (After all, Fast & Furious 6 opens in movie theaters nationwide this week.  It only makes sense.)

Below are the positions that were recently filled by Top Echelon Network recruiters:

  • Split PlacementProduction Development Engineer

Matt DeutschWhen a Top Echelon Network Preferred Member wants to recommend a split recruiter for their work in a split placement situation, they use a variety of descriptions to do so.

In this issue of The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog, those descriptions include the following:

  • “really good candidates”
  • “smooth process”
  • “great to work with”
  • “nice surprise”
  • “great candidate”
  • “timing was perfect”

Not only that, but one of the two split placements below is a recruiter’s first Network split in Top Echelon!  (We won’t give away the secret, but actually we will, because the recruiter’s name is Shannon Caston.)

Good . . . great . . . perfect.  These are just some of the words that Network recruiters are using to compliment and recommend one another.  All things being equal, there are worse things people can call you . . .

If you’d like to recommend another recruiter as the result of a recent Network split, submit your comments with your Completed Placement Form, and they’ll appear in a future issue of The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog.

Way back in the day, it used to be that only a few Network recruiters made placements with their websites.  They were the “trailblazers,” so to speak, those who recognized the value that a website could bring to their recruiting firm.

Now, everybody’s making website placements!

Okay, not everybody . . . that’s a caffeine-fueled exaggeration.  However, more Network recruiters are making them now with the help of the Hiring Hook Job Board, which allows them to post their jobs to their website (and also to other Network recruiters’ websites).

The result?  More placements and more money, with over half of the placements listed below resulting from one of the Hiring Hook websites for recruiters.

We keep banging this drum, and that’s because recruiters are making more top placements with their website, and they’re making them more frequently.  Sounds like a good reason to bang the drum to us!

Below are the positions that were recently filled by Top Echelon Network recruiters:

  • Split PlacementNurse Manager

We’re back with more split network recruiting goodness!  How much?  A “2-pack” of split network recruiting goodness!

But that’s just the tip of the iceberg . . . below is the rest of the iceberg:

  • Our first set of recruiters recently made their second split placement together after making their first split just a couple of months ago.
  • One of those two recruiters joined Top Echelon Network only seven months ago, and she’s already made three split placements.
  • The split fees associated with both of the placements these recruiters have made together are quite substantial.  (Check out their profiles in the Top Echelon recruiting network Members’ Area to see just how substantial.)
  • The second set of recruiters made their sixth split placement together, proving that split recruiter relationships continue to reap benefits year after year . . . after year.

So this is no ordinary “2-pack” . . . it’s a “2-pack” bursting with multiple placements, hefty split fees, and every indication that these recruiters will close more deals together in the future.
