With this week’s installment of split placements, we’re going to prove that you don’t have to make 20 placements a year in Top Echelon to be considered a Network success.

That’s because this week, we’re highlighting long-time Preferred Member Lloyd Shoemaker of Miami Professional Search, LLC, who has two placements listed in this issue of The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog.

Recent PlacementsShoemaker, a staunch advocate of the benefits of networking, has been unerringly consistent during his time in Top Echelon.  As an example, he made two split placements in 2009, two in 2010, two in 2011, and two in 2012.

Let’s do some math, shall we?  If dues in Top Echelon Network are $125 per month (and they are), then Shoemaker pays $1,500 per year to be a Preferred Member.

However, if he makes two split placements each year, and his share of each fee is approximately $7,500 (the average AFTER Top Echelon takes its 6% brokerage fee), then he earns $15,000 each year from his Network Membership.

Invest $1,500 . . . earn $15,000 on that investment.  That’s a 10-fold increase.

Sounds like a success to me.

If you have questions about how you can make two (or more) placements each and every year in Top Echelon Network, contact Membership Development Coordinator Drea Codispoti at (330) 455-1433, Ext. 156.

THIS WEEK’S COMPLETED SPLIT PLACEMENTS!

When it comes to making placements in Top Echelon Network, “communication” is king!

Communication, incidentally, is one of the Four Pillars of the Network.  It’s also the reason my often cited by recruiters when they submit their Completed Placement forms.

Recent PlacementsTake, for instance, this week’s completed placements, which are listed below.  The “action causing split placement” was the same for all of them: “Regular communication with another Top Echelon Network Preferred Member recruiter.”

Yes, Quality is important.  Yes, Trust is important . . . and so is Active Participation.  But if you want a starting point in Top Echelon, a place to begin your quest for greater Network success, then that starting point is Communication.

Communication “gets the ball rolling,” so to speak.  It makes things happen, and as you can see, it makes placements happen.

So pick up the phone!  Call another recruiter!  Talk shop and share job orders and candidates!  That’s what these recruiters did, and that’s why they recently cashed placement checks.

Almost every week in The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog, we publish recent split placements between Top Echelon Network Preferred Member recruiters.

Recent PlacementsAlong with those split placements, we include the reasons those placements were made, which we list as the “action causing split placement.”  As you may know, these reasons are varied.

In fact, below are the three “actions” causing this week’s split placements:

  • The job order or candidate was found by searching Top Echelon’s split databases.
  • Regular communication with another Top Echelon Network Preferred Member recruiter

All of these things were responsible for recent split placements in Top Echelon Network.  So what does this ultimately mean?

It means you should search the split databases, communicate with other Network recruiters, and get a Hiring Hook website!

After all, if it worked for these recruiters, it can work for you, too.  And then your picture will run in this feature, along with the details of your most recent Network placement.  Everybody wins!

We have yet another case study in relationships in this week’s split placements!  We love case studies in success!  And this one is just a happy story all the way around.

Recent PlacementsBecause on the one hand we have Veronica Snyder of Career Professionals, Inc., who’s made 48 placements during her tenure as a Preferred Member recruiter in Top Echelon Network.  On the other hand, we have Bob Ferris of Ferris & Associates, who’s made 69 placements in the Network.

Of course, Snyder and Ferris made a split placement together recently, but that’s just part of the story.  This placement was a natural extension of the first placement they made, which was chronicled here.

This case study once again proves that once you break through and make your first split placement with another recruiter in the Network, you’re setting yourself up for making more placements with that person in the future.  You’re setting yourself up for more success, more money, and more chances to grow your business.

Oh, and yes . . . these recruiters have also attended Top Echelon Network conferences and conventions in the past. Why do I mention this? The 2013 National Convention, of course!

That concludes this shameless plug.

We’re just passing out awards left and right in this issue of The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog.  (Well, we’re just announcing them . . . we’re not actually passing anything out yet.  We’ll do that later.)

Recent PlacementsAlong that similar vein, something which has won a Network award year after year after year is “Regular communication with Trading Partners.”  Why?  Because it continues to be the number-one way in which split placements happen in Top Echelon Network!

If the split placement evidence below isn’t enough to convince you, consider that 64.9% of all the split placements made in the Network in 2012 were the result of “Regular communication with Trading Partners.”  In second place was “Hiring Hook websites” at 13.0%.  (Which reminds me, if you don’t have a Hiring Hook staffing website design, get one!  This number keeps going up every year.)

In addition, “Searching the split databases” was in third place at 8.6%.  So search the databases, post your job orders and candidates, communicate as much as you can . . . and get a Hiring Hook website!  Do everything you can to make more placements!  Go, go, go!

Why are you still sitting there?

When it comes to defining what a completed placement is and what it isn’t, usually that definition entails “when I get my money.”  Or in other words, when the recruiter receives the placement check (or their portion of the split placement check).

Such is also the case with Top Echelon Network.

Recent PlacementsFrom our perspective, a split placement isn’t a split placement until the job order recruiter receives their check AND they send both the candidate recruiter and Top Echelon Network their portions.  Once we receive the check for our 6% brokerage fee, we consider the placement to be completed (and it runs in The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog).

So—which placement check was the first one we entered in 2013?  That check was for a split placement between Dan Simmons, CPC of Continental Search & Outplacement, Inc. and Rebecca Kohn of Affinity Executive Search!

Simmons actually has two placements in this week’s issue of The Pinnacle.  So congratulations to him and everybody else who started the New Year with a split placement . . . and a smile!

Preferred Member recruiter John Zurek of Zurek Professional Resources, LLC gave me a great idea recently.  That’s because he complimented a Trading Partner for a recent split placement simply by leaving a comment at the bottom of the Pinnacle blog post in which the placement was highlighted.

Although many recruiters choose to include their comments with their Completed Placement Forms, that’s certainly not the only way to publicly praise Trading Partners for their help closing a deal.

It’s possible that some Preferred Member recruiters prefer to do what Zurek did: simply post a comment at the end of the blog post.  No runs, no drips, no errors.  (Bonus points if you can identify the commercial that spawned that “catch” phrase.  Email your answer to me.)

Anyway, I’d like to invite you to do just that.  Specifically, if you make a Network split placement and we publish it in The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog, please comment on that placement and compliment your Trading Partner for their help in making it happen.

This goes not just for this week, but for the rest of this year.  After all, everybody loves placement checks and everybody loves receiving kudos with their placement checks.  Throw in some cake and ice cream, and what more could you ask for?  (No, we’re not providing the cake and ice cream . . . I already asked.)

Wait a minute . . . the Mayans were wrong?  The world didn’t end?  We’re still here?  The Pinnacle has to go out AGAIN?

Well, that’s okay.  It sure beats the alternative, doesn’t it?  Besides, we’d rather have a “Maja Split Placement” than a “Mayan Apocalypse” any day of the week.  (And twice on Sunday, even though we’re not in the office on Sundays.  Why bring that up?  Because office hours are important.)

Maja Munoz of Human Technologies, Inc. became a Preferred Member recruiter in January of 2012.  Over the course of the year, she made three split fee recruiting placements in the Network.

If every Preferred Member recruiter made three split placements during their first year in the Network, we’d throw a huge party.  If every Preferred Member recruiter made three split placements every year, we’d throw an even bigger party.

For now, though, we’re more than happy to celebrate a “Maja Split Placement” rather than a “Mayan Apocalypse.”  Not . . . that there would be much to celebrate with the latter.

You want special mention in The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog?  Well, all you have to do is this: make two split placements in Top Echelon Network in the same week.

You do that, and you’re golden . . . just like Preferred Member recruiter Ken Nunley of 7 Solutions USA in Kingston Springs, Tenn.

Nunley made two split placements this week, and they’re listed below.  Not only that, but the splits were generated for two different reasons: because of a Hiring Hook recruiting website and also because of regular communication with another Network recruiter.

Nunley, a regular attendee of Top Echelon Network conferences and conventions, has made 26 placements so far during his tenure in the Network, including five this year.  At this rate, he’s setting himself up enjoy an equally successful year within the Network in 2013.

So congratulations, Ken Nunley . . . may you enjoy this week’s “Split Placement Spotlight”!

The Preferred Member recruiter in focus this week is Debi Apple of Apple & Assoc. Inc., who has two split placements in The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog.

Recent PlacementsApple has enjoyed a productive year so far in the Network, with nine split placements, five of which are completed and four still in the verbal stage.  However, what’s noteworthy about those placements is that they take different forms.

For one thing, they were all generated by Apple’s Hiring Hook recruitment website design.  In addition, one of them was a contract split placement.  That just goes to show that no matter what form they take—contract, website, or traditional—they’re all split placements, no matter how you slice them.

Here’s to another week of slicing and dicing in Top Echelon Network.
