Matt DeutschOkay, so you’re already a member of our “Split Placements for Recruiters” group on LinkedIn.

What’s that?  You’re not?  You should be ashamed of yourself.  Join immediately by clicking on this link.

Done?  Okay, where was I?  Ah, yes.  Okay, so you’re already a member of our “Split Placements for Recruiters” group on LinkedIn.

The fun doesn’t stop there.  We also happen to have two other groups on LinkedIn for recruiters.

One of them is called “Software Solutions for Recruiters” and the other one is called “Website Strategies for Recruiters.”  The nature of these groups mirrors their names.

“Software Solutions for Recruiters” includes topics pertaining to any and all software that recruiters use to run their desks more effectively and make more placements.

(Of course, our recruiting software Big Biller, might be discussed from time to time . . . but you probably already guessed that.)

Meanwhile, “Website Strategies for Recruiters” includes topics that pertain to ways in which recruiters can leverage the power of the Internet—and specifically their website—to secure more job orders, attract more qualified candidates, and make more placements.

Remember, you do NOT have to be a Big Biller customer or have a Hiring Hook website to be a member of these groups.  You just have to be a recruiter who wants to discuss these particular topics and share valuable information that could lead to more business for everybody involved.

Click here to join ‘Software Solutions for Recruiters.

Click here to join ‘Website Strategies for Recruiters.’

Click here to join ‘Split Placements for Recruiters.’

So join us . . . let’s have some fun and make some money!  I’m serious—join us.  Remember, we know where most of you live.  Let’s do this the easy way, shall we?

Don’t make me get Drea involved.

There’s a good chance you know of a game show by the name of The Price is Right.  This means you also know that at the beginning of each round, the show’s next contestant is introduced in grand fashion by the announcer, who loudly proclaims:

“[Your name here], come on down!  You’re the next contestant on The Price is Right!

Recent PlacementsThe Pinnacle Newsletter Blog isn’t a game show, and it doesn’t play one on TV, either.  However, when we see a Top Echelon Network recruiter has made two split fee recruiting placements in the same week, we sit up and take notice.  (Most of the time, though, we’re just slouched in front of our computer screens, watching The Price is Right.)

There is just such a recruiter in this week’s installment of split placements.  This recruiter has been a Preferred Member in Top Echelon Network since 2007.  He’s been a regular attendee at Network conferences.  He’s already made five split placements in 2012.

Travis Jones, come on down!  You’re the next recruiter to be highlighted in The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog!”

(And no, none of “Barker’s Beauties” will be making an appearance.  I apologize for this egregious oversight.)

Preferred Member recruiters in Top Echelon Network make split placements for a lot of different reasons . . . but a pair of “lucky socks”?

Yes, a pair of “lucky socks.”  Or a pair of “stinky lucky socks,” depending upon your proximity to them.

'Comments' and Compliments ExtraAt least, that’s the case if you ask Steve Copeland of Albert Energy, LLC and Jeff Gilbert of Kingfish Technology, LLC.  Steve and Jeff recently shared a huge placement fee (the amount of which you can see by checking their placement history in the Members’ Area), and that placement and subsequent fee may—or may not—have been the direct result of Jeff’s superstitious nature.

For the purposes of this blog post, though, let’s go ahead and say that his “stinky lucky socks” had something to do with it.

After all, once you see the amount of the fee involved, you’ll probably understand why Jeff refers to that particular pair of footwear as his “lucky socks.”

Call them “stinky.”  Call them “lucky.”  Or call them the key to a huge placement fee.  It all comes out the same in the wash.

If you’d like to thank another recruiter for their efforts in a split placement situation, send your information to marketing@topechelon.com.  Your comments might be included in an upcoming issue of The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog!

— — —

Steve Copeland“‘The Kingfish’ of passive recruiting!  It was the fact that Jeff wore his ‘stinky lucky socks’ since January 1 that gave this hire the boost it needed.  Jeff didn’t take those socks off until our candidate showed up on the job!  He even wore them to bed.  I bet he slept in the other room with the dog . . . if the dog could stand it, that is.”

Submitted by Steve Copeland of Albert Energy, LLC regarding his split placement with Jeff Gilbert of Kingfish Technology, LLC

Position Title—GLOBAL ALLIANCE PROGRAM DIRECTOR
Fee Percentage—25%

(Editor’s note: this is the first split placement that Copeland and Gilbert have made together in Top Echelon Network.)

— — —

Jeff Gilbert“We recruiters are a very superstitious bunch!  What can I say, I have my ‘lucky socks.’  Now that summer is upon us, you can imagine . . . they look pretty ridiculous with my flip flops.  Regardless, we have many more deals to close by year’s end!”

Matt DeutschLast week, I presented the list of Preferred Member recruiters in Top Echelon Network who have made 100 placements or more.

This week, I’m presenting the list of Preferred Member recruiters who are “Million Dollar Producers” in Top Echelon Network.

Actually, you should pronounce it as follows: “Meeel-lion Dollar Producers,” much like Dr. Evil would do. You know, Dr. Evil . . . from the Austin Powers movies.  And why should you pronounce it that way?  Because it’s more fun, that’s why.

Besides, how many HR managers and gatekeepers would fit the “Dr. Evil” monikor?  The connection is there.  You just have to look closely.

Below is the list of the 11 recruiters who comprise “The Top Echelon Network Meeel-lion Dollar Producers Club.”  Some are no longer in the Network.  The names of those recruiters are in italics.

1. Bruce Ramstad of Bruce L. Ramstad

2. Jim Fitzpatrick of Fitzpatrick & Associates

3. Sean Napoles of Career Brokers, Inc.

4. Jim Bostic of The Bostic Group, Inc.

5. Dan Simmons of Continental Search & Outplacement, Inc.

6. Gary Silver of The Shay Group

7. Kate Bell of Bell & Associates

8. Chuck Szajkovics of First Search and Bulldog Recruiters, Inc.

9. Mike Zarnek of First Search

10. Al Katz of First Search

11. Dan Regan of Maxwell Marcus Corporate Recruiters

12. Elvin Erickson of Erickson & Associates, Inc.

13. Lou Michaels of Lou Michaels Associates, Inc.

As you can see, I’ve omitted the actual dollar amounts for the recruiters above.  However, you can access those amounts (for active Preferred Members) by logging into the Top Echelon Network software and viewing their respective Recruiter Profiles.

I should note that the top recruiter on the list, Bruce Ramstad, is actually close to $2 million in cash-in during his tenure as a Preferred Member.  I should also note that a handful of recruiters are closing in on the $1 million mark, including Trey Cameron of the Cameron Craig Group.

In fact, if Trey keeps making placements at the rate he’s been making them over the past 18 months, he could reach the $1 meeel-lion plateau even sooner than we think.

Congratulations to everybody!

You know the old saying: “There’s no ‘I’ in ‘TEAM’!”

Well, we’re going to add to it: “There’s no ‘I’ in ‘TEAM’! . . . but there’s a ‘TE’ in ‘TEAM’!”

Lame?  Perhaps, but it’s for a good cause.  That good cause is the fact that “lame” teamwork in Top Echelon Network results in not-so-lame split placements and even not-so-lamer extra revenue for Preferred Member recruiters.

'Comments' and ComplimentsLike, for instance, the recruiters highlighted in this week’s issue of “‘Comments’ and Compliments.”  Not just one recruiter at a firm, either, but multiple recruiters, all working together to help the two firms make a split together.  And in this case, not just one split placement, but split after split after split . . .

In fact, the firms in question—MJ Recruiters, LLC and the Cameron Craig Group—have made a total of eight split placements in the past 12 months.

You can call that type of production anything you want.  Impressive . . . stellar . . . intriguing.  Just don’t call it lame.

If you’d like to thank another recruiter for their efforts in a split placement situation, send your information to marketing@topechelon.com.  Your comments might be included in an upcoming issue of The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog!

Submitted by Maria Hemminger of MJ Recruites, LLC regarding her split placement with Gene McQueen of the Cameron Craig Group

Position Title—MANUFACTURING MANAGER
Fee Percentage—25%

(Editor’s note: this is the second split placement that Hemminger and McQueen have made together in Top Echelon Network.)

Jeffrey LinckSean Napoles, CPC“Sean, you’ve given me some great candidates for the Cary, N.C. area.  Thanks!”

Submitted by Jeffrey Linck of Enterprise Search Associates, LLC regarding his split placement with Sean Napoles, CPC of Career Brokers, Inc.

Position Title—SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER
Fee Percentage—20%

(Editor’s note: this is the third split placement that Linck and Napoles have made together in Top Echelon Network.)

Matt DeutschAs you might have heard us mention a time or two, Top Echelon Network will be celebrating its 25th year of existence in 2013.

But why wait?  Let’s start celebrating right now!  There’s no time like the present!  Besides, there are some who say the world is going to end before 2013 even gets here, so let’s party like it’s 1999!  (Actually scratch that; my 1999 party wasn’t that great.)

Anyway, one of the things we’ll be doing to celebrate this milestone is recognize those recruiters who have accomplished tremendous milestones as Preferred Members of Top Echelon Network during the past 24+ years.  One of those milestones is making 100 placements.

And you might be interested to know—and I’m interested to tell you—that in the 24 years that Top Echelon Network has been in business, 24 recruiters have made 100 placements or more as Preferred Members.  Coincidence?  Maybe . . . probably . . . work with me here.

Below is the list of the 24 recruiters who comprise “The Top Echelon Network 100 Placement Club.”  Some are no longer in the Network.  The names of those recruiters are in italics.

1. Bruce Ramstad of Bruce L. Ramstad307
2. Gary Silver of The Shay Group224
3. Jim Bostic of The Bostic Group, Inc.—224
4. Jerry Walter of Walter & Associates, Inc.180
5. Jim Fitzpatrick of Fitzpatrick & Associates176
6. Dan Simmons of Continental Search & Outplacement, Inc.175
7. Dan Regan of Maxwell Marcus Corporate Recruiters—171
8. Sean Napoles of Career Brokers, Inc.164
9. Lou Michaels of Lou Michaels Associates, Inc.162
10. Kate Bell of Bell & Associates—157
11. Al Katz of First Search—152
12. Elvin Erickson of Erickson & Associates, Inc.—143
13. Allen Davis of SoftwareJobs.com, Inc.—140
14. Heidi Kay of Kay Concepts, Inc.—135 (currently with another Preferred Member firm)
15. Richard Lechtenberg of Dick Berg & Associates—131
16. Colleen Switala of Database Search, Inc.—123
17. Donna Carroll of Systems Personnel122
18. Terry Rhodes of newcareers122
19. Bill Williams—114
20. Trey Cameron of the Cameron Craig Group124
21. Johnny Winn The Anchor Group—106
22. Antoinette Andrews of Quantum Advantage, Inc.—104
23. Joyce Gray of Rhodes International, Inc.—101
24. David Kersey of Kersey & Associates, Inc.100

Twenty-four recruiters in 24 years.  So the question is this one: how close is the next recruiter to reaching the 100-placement plateau?

The next recruiter is Steve Brody of Executive Resource Systems.  Not only is Steve a Charter Member, but he’s made 96 Network placements to date.  If he can make four more, he’ll become the 25th recruiter to make 100 placements in Top Echelon Network.

How fitting would that be?

So, Steve—we’re rooting for you.  We wish you split placement success.  And you know, if you can make your 100th before next March, that would be great.

No pressure, though . . . just thinking out loud.  You understand.

Trey Cameron of the Cameron Craig Group may be the “Recruiter of the Month” for April.  He may be the Top Producing Recruiter right now in Top Echelon Network.  He may have been the Top Producing Recruiter for the 2011 calendar year.

But this is a new year, and the last thing you want to do is forget about THIS guy.  THIS guy is Sean Napoles, CPC of Career Brokers, Inc.

Recent PlacementsSean is currently #2 in the Network in terms of cash-in, and during his long tenure as a Preferred Member, he’s won a boatload of awards (the quantity wasn’t tested with an actual boat, but you understand), including the coveted Top Producing Recruiter award.

This week’s listing of Top Echelon Network split placements include two splits involving Sean, and with Information Technology as hot as it is right now, you can expect many more from Sean.

You can also rest assured that he’ll give Trey a run for his money before 2012 is over.

At Top Echelon Network, we’re always looking for a textbook example of a split placement—and we have not one, but two in this week’s installment of “’Comments’ and Compliments”!

'Comments' and ComplimentsAnd to top it all off, the recruiters involved made their first split placement with one another.  In fact, the first pair of recruiters listed below have been Preferred Members of the Network for a combined 35 years.

Like they say, there’s a first time for everything . . . although we still have absolutely no idea who “they” are.  (Whoever they are, they certainly seem to have a lot to say.)

Yes, it’s May.  Yes, school is almost out for millions of students.  But when it comes to split placements, class is always in session.

If you’d like to thank another recruiter for their efforts in a split placement situation, send your information to marketing@topechelon.com.  Your comments might be included in an upcoming issue of The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog!

/Larry PloscoweBob Millman“Bill Millman called me after I posted the job on TE on January 11.  He asked for extensive details on the job and set out to direct-recruit some appropriate applicants, which he did almost immediately.  He came up with at least four viable applicants, two of which were the only applicants to make it to the face-to-face interview stage and both received offers from my client.  The first applicant turned down the offer, but the second accepted.  Both candidates were excellent.  Bob was a big help!”

Bob WylanJim Crumpley“Jim called, presented a candidate, and then sent me a resume.  I presented one candidate to the client, and we hit the bullseye.  The candidate was presented for a Production Manager position during the onsite interview, but the client had another position in the back of their mind.  When they saw the candidate, they switched gears and were interviewing him for a future need.  They approved the new position and made our candidate an offer.  Jim, thanks for sending an outstanding candidate!”

All networking between Top Echelon Network Preferred Member recruiters does NOT take place over the phone.  In fact, some of the most effective networking does not.

Members often network at events like the upcoming 2012 Fall Conference and 2013 National Convention . . . yes, that’s a hint . . . we want you to register for both . . . we’re shameless.

Recent PlacementsNetworking can also occur on the golf course, and that was the case for two of the Preferred Member recruiters included in this week’s installment of Completed Split Placements.  Those two recruiters are Russell Schutt, CSP of Progressive Executive, Inc. and Jim Folger of ONESource Technical, Inc.

But wait—there’s more!  (Of course there’s more.)

We also have a Preferred Member recruiter who’s made two split placements this week, each one with a different Trading Partner.  That recruiter is Greg Downs of Downs Associates, who is quietly productive in Top Echelon Network, making a total of seven split placements since January of 2011.

So remember, it doesn’t matter where you network (like for instance, the 2012 Fall Conference), it’s just important to network . . . because split placements will more than likely follow.

“It’s a small world after all . . . it’s a small world after all . . . it’s a small world after all . . . it’s a small, small world.”

Okay, since that song will be stuck in your head for the rest of the day, we can proceed.

'Comments' and Compliments ExtraIt IS a small world, especially if you’re a recruiter.  After all, you interact with people all the time, every day, and this installment of “‘Comments’ and Compliments” illustrates that perfectly.

It includes two Preferred Member recruiters who not only made a split placement together recently, but who also have a connection with another Preferred Member in Top Echelon Network . . . which, of course, makes it a small, small world.

The recruiters in question are Debra Stitt, CPC of Quality Source, Inc. of Ohio and Kim Kirby of Balanced Career Solutions, Inc.  The other recruiter whose thread runs through the entire story: David J. Sgro of True North Consultants, Inc.

Stitt’s comments regarding the split placement are below, followed by Kirby’s.  If you’d like to compliment a Trading Partner in a more extensive manner regarding a split placement, email your comments and information to marketing@TopEchelon.com.

“It’s a small world after all . . .”

— — —

Debra Stitt, CPC“Making this split with Kim was AWESOME.  She actually worked the order with me and presented several very viable candidates, many of whom made it at least to the phone screen stage.  As it turns out, Kim and I have something in common.  Dave Sgro, Sr. trained me in the biz, and Kim worked for him after I had left the firm.  Small world!  No wonder this one ‘fit like a glove.'”

Position Title—Human Resource Generalist
Fee Percentage—25%

Submitted by Debra Stitt, CPC of Quality Source, Inc. of Ohio regarding her split placement with Kim Kirby of Balanced Career Solutions, Inc.

Kim Kirby“I enjoyed working with Debra on this placement.  She knew her client well and was very clear on the types of candidates she was looking for and provided timely feedback so that I knew if I was on the right track.  Thanks, Debra!”
