Summer is here!  This is a cause for celebration.

If you remember, I’m the guy who did a snow angel in sub-human temperatures back in the winter to drive attendance for the 2014 National Convention.  I know just how cold it can get here in the great state of Ohio.

But all of that is in the past.  In the future is the Virtual Core Group (VCG) teleconference call schedule for the month of July in Top Echelon Network.

As I’ve stated before, during Virtual Core Group meetings, Network recruiters share hot job orders and candidates, information about the activity they’re seeing, and ideas for increased production on their desk and within their firms.  These are the activities that lead most directly to making more placements.

If you’re a newer Preferred Member in Top Echelon Network, I especially encourage you to join one of these existing Virtual Core Groups for recruiters . . . or start a new one.

Please note, though, that the Healthcare Virtual Core Group has been suspended for the time being.  I will, of course, let everybody know if that group resumes its meetings.

How do you enjoy more success in Top Echelon Network?  By meeting other Preferred Member recruiters face-to-face, that’s how.  That’s been proven time and again and again and again . . .

And look, it’s been proven again!

A total of 30 recruiters convened on Wednesday, November 28, at the Catering by Design Center in Columbus for the annual meeting of the Ohio Regional Core Group.  These recruiters networked, traded hot job orders and candidates, and generally picked each other’s brains about their industries, the job market, and recruiting in general.

So what does this mean?  Among other things, it means that not only will these recruiters make more split placements, but they’ll also make more placements overall, now that they’ve used this networking opportunity to sharpen their skills, streamline their process, and overcome obstacles on their desk.

As we’ve already established, it seems as though the Thanksgiving holiday has snuck up on us this year.

That would mean that the December Virtual Core Group (VCG) teleconference call meeting schedule has snuck up on us, too!

(Not really. NOTHING sneaks up on me . . . but you get the idea.)  And like last month, there’s a change to the schedule of which you should be aware.

Because of our annual Christmas party, the Top Echelon offices will be closed on the afternoon of Thursday, December 13.  That also means there will be no VCG teleconference call meetings that day.  And THAT means I’m pushing a set of meetings up by one day, to Wednesday, December 12.

The Central Ohio Regional Core Group is meeting again!

Why are they meeting?  Because the members of the group find value in these meetings, including making split placements together . . . which is why YOU should consider joining a Regional Core Group, too.  (If you haven’t already, that is.  I’ll cut you some slack then.)

During the second week of October, I’ll be in Chicago for the 2012 Top Echelon Network Fall Conference.  Because I haven’t yet figured out to how to be in two places at once, I won’t be in Canton on the second Thursday of the month.

That’s significant because Thursday is typically the day that I hold Virtual Core Group (VCG) teleconference calls for Preferred Member recruiters of Top Echelon Network.  As you might have already guessed, the Fall Conference is going to push back the upcoming VCG schedule.

The groups that normally have their calls on the second Thursday of the month (in this case, October 11) will now have them on the third Thursday of the month (October 18).  Those groups are Aerospace/DOD, Software Sales, and Information Technology.

The “dog days of summer” are almost here.

While it might be argued that the “dog days” have been with us since the beginning of summer in the form of ridiculously high temperatures and corresponding drought, I’m talking specifically about the month of August.  (That’s the month traditionally associated with the “dog days of summer.)

And a new month brings with it a Virtual Core Group (VGC) schedule in Top Echelon Network.

As I’ve mentioned before (and will undoubtedly mention many times again), Virtual Core Group meetings are regularly scheduled conference calls for Preferred Member recruiters who work in the same industry or niche.

During these calls, recruiters share information about the activity they’re seeing, they share hot job orders and candidates, and they also bounce ideas off one another.  These are the activities that lead most directly to making split placements.

As you can see above, the first two Thursdays of the month and the second slot of the third Thursday are filled with conference calls.  That second slot is for the Energy/Oil & Gas group.  Please remember that the time for that call is from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on August 16 and not noon to 1 p.m.  I’d hate for you to call the number at the wrong time.

Believe it or not, July is almost here.  I would say something about how quickly time flies, but by the time I did, it would be August.  Better just to embrace the present, rather than comment on the rapidly aging past or the accelerating future.

Speaking of that future, I have for you the Virtual Core Group (VCG) schedule for the month of July.  Yes, I know: summer is here.  Yes, I know: many of you are on vacation or will be on vacation.

That is irrelevant.  I STILL want you to attend a VCG teleconference call during the month of July.  Why?  Because I’m an oppressive Membership Development Coordinator who enjoys ruling with an iron fist?  Partly, yes.

But the other reason is that I know for a fact just how valuable these teleconference calls can be for recruiters who are interested in maximizing their Top Echelon Network Preferred Membership and putting the resources of their Trading Partners to good use for the purpose of making more split placements.

How in the world is it already June?  I have no idea.  The year is flying by.

What I do know, though, is the date of this year’s Top Echelon Recruitment Network Ohio Golf Outing.  That date: Thursday, July 19.

This outing has been held for the better part of a decade now, and the benefits of attending this event have been proven time after time after time.  Recruiters have golfed together, networked together, and made split placements together—that’s the perfect blueprint for success.

With that in mind, I’d like to take a moment to thank Preferred Member recruiter Debra L. Stitt, CPC of Quality Source Inc. of Ohio for all the work she’s put into this event over the years.  She helped to build the outing into what it is today, and we’re truly grateful for her efforts.

A few months ago, I announced that we were adding a new Virtual Core Group to the monthly teleconference schedule.  That group happened to be Aerospace/DOD.

Well, I’m happy to announce that I’m adding yet another group to the mix.
