Drea Codispoti, CPC/CERSThis is it!  Early Bird Registration for the 2013 Top Echelon Network National Convention is finally here!

As has traditionally been the case, we release Early Bird registration in December so that recruiters can sign up for the convention before the end of the year.  That way, they can apply the cost of the event toward the current year’s business expenses.

Something else that’s also been a tradition is that we keep the cost of convention registration as low as possible.  Prices may rise everywhere else in the world, but we keep the price of attending Top Echelon Network events pretty much the same.

Case in point: Early Bird Registration for the 2013 National Convention, scheduled for April 25 through April 27, is just $495 per person.  Compared to the cost of attending other conferences and conventions within the recruiting industry, that’s a rather reasonable price.

Remember, our goal is NOT to make money off the convention.  We consider the convention an investment in the Network.  We believe that getting recruiters together will help them grow their business, and part of that growth will include more split placements.

Why do we believe that?  Because we’ve seen the proof during these past 25 years.  That’s right, we’ll be celebrating our 25th anniversary next year, so that’s yet another reason to attend the convention.

Want another reason?  Danny Cahill of AccordingtoDanny.com is the main speaker for the National Convention!

Want another reason?  The site of the convention is the TradeWinds Resort in St. Petersburg, Fla., the site of our very first convention way back in 1990.  It’s a great venue with a great speaker for what’s going to be a great event.  The only thing missing is . . . YOU!

So register for the 2013 National Convention!

Want to know how to make more split placements in Top Echelon Network?

Then call Membership Development Coordinator Drea Codispoti.  Why?  Because Drea helps Preferred Member recruiters in Top Echelon Network make more split placements.

A few months ago, we presented a case study in The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog that illustrated this fact perfectly . . . and now we have another case study!

In this case study, the same thing happened, namely a recruiter asked Drea what they should do, Drea told them what to do, and that led to a split placement.

Here’s the best part: the recruiter who asked Drea for advice ultimately made his first split placement as a Preferred Member recruiter!  Now that’s a cause for celebration!  (Who’s bringing the cake?  No cake?  What about ice cream?  Darn.)

Anyway, if YOU want to know what you should do to make more split placements, CALL Drea at (330) 455-1433, Ext. 156. He’s helped others, and he can help you, too!

The Preferred Member recruiter in focus this week is Debi Apple of Apple & Assoc. Inc., who has two split placements in The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog.

Recent PlacementsApple has enjoyed a productive year so far in the Network, with nine split placements, five of which are completed and four still in the verbal stage.  However, what’s noteworthy about those placements is that they take different forms.

For one thing, they were all generated by Apple’s Hiring Hook recruitment website design.  In addition, one of them was a contract split placement.  That just goes to show that no matter what form they take—contract, website, or traditional—they’re all split placements, no matter how you slice them.

Here’s to another week of slicing and dicing in Top Echelon Network.

We have yet another new face to publish in conjunction with our “Recruiter of the Month” award!  That face belongs to Cheryl Campbell Lang, CPC of Career Search Associates.

Top-Producing RecruitersCampbell has made a total of 32 placements during her tenure as a Preferred Member recruiter in Top Echelon Network, and she made three of those during the month of November.  Not only does that give her more momentum heading into the New Year, but it also gives her “Recruiter of the Month” recognition.

Will there be yet another new face next month?  Only time—and split placements—will tell.  In the meantime, stay tuned!

As always, we recognize recruiters for both monthly and quarterly performance in four categories—“Recruiter of the Month,” “Recruiter of the Quarter,” “Highest Split Placement Fee of the Month,” and “Highest Split Placement Fee of the Quarter.”

For more information about the placements and cash-in totals associated with these awards, please login to the Members’ Area and view the profiles and placement details of the recruiters involved.

Cheryl Campbell
Recruiter of the Month
Cheryl Campbell Lang, CPC of Career Search Associates

Campbell was the only Preferred Member recruiter in the Network to make three split placements during the month of November.

In second place were Cindy Andrew Cordell, CPC of Corporate Resources, LLC and Chuck Szajkovics of Bulldog Recruiters, Inc.  Both made two split placements, but Cordell boasted the larger cash-in total for her two, meaning that she claimed second place and Szajkovics captured third place.

Highest Split Placement Fee of the Month
Georgette Sandifer of Gallman Consulting and Chuck Szajkovics of Bulldog Recruiters, Inc.

The position for this placement was a Plant Manager.  Sandifer was the job order recruiter, and Szajkovics was the candidate recruiter.  The action that stimulated this split placement was listed as “Regular phone communication with a Top Echelon Network Preferred Member recruiter in my specialty area.”

Our criteria for these awards:

Top Echelon Network is a split placement network.  As such, we place an emphasis on split placements, and that emphasis constitutes a large part of our criteria for these awards.  We determine the monthly and quarterly award winners based upon two things, which are listed below in order of importance:

1.) The number of split placements made
2.) The amount of cash-in dollars earned as a result of those split placements

What qualities do Top Echelon Network Preferred Member recruiters want in their Trading Partners?  Well, a lot of them, actually . . . but we have at least two in this week’s installment of “Comments and Compliments“!

Those qualities, which are included below, form the framework of yet another formula for success in the Network.  That formula is as follows:

‘Responsive’ + ‘Supportive’ = ‘Thrilled’

'Comments' and ComplimentsRecruiters want Trading Partners who are responsive and supportive, among many other things.  However, when those two qualities are exhibited during a search, not only is the client thrilled with the candidates provided, but both recruiters are also thrilled because they get to split a fee from a placement they probably would not have made on their own.

And as a recruiter, is there a better reason to be thrilled?  We think not.

If you’d like to thank another recruiter for their efforts in a split placement situation, send your information to marketing@topechelon.com.  Your comments might be included in an upcoming issue of The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog!

We live in a website world.  In fact, we eat, breathe, shop, and even recruit in a website world . . . and there’s more proof of that with each passing day.

What proof?  This proof: the number of Preferred Member recruiters who are making split placements because of their Hiring Hook recruitment website design.

Take, for instance, the recruiters below.  The placement fees they split were the direct result of their Hiring Hook websites, specifically, the Job Board functionality of those sites.  Because of that functionality, candidates nominated themselves for posted jobs—jobs that were eventually filled by one of the candidates.

So if you don’t have the Job Board integration that comes with a Hiring Hook website, give us a call at (330) 455-1433.  Join the growing number of recruiters who are making more placements because of their Hiring Hook website.

After all, if you’re going to live in a website world, you might as well make more money while you’re there.
