Top-Producing RecruitersDuring the past few weeks, we’ve been publishing the names of our 2011 Network Award Winners, specifically the Top Ten Producing Recruiters and the Regional Award Winners.  These Preferred Members will receive an award for their accomplishments, and if they attend the upcoming National Convention in Nashville, Tenn., they’ll receive their award in person and in front of their peers.

In the meantime, though, we’re going to wrap up our series of blog posts regarding the 2011 Network Award Winners by presenting the names of those recruiters who won Special Awards.  (You’ll notice that the name of the Network’s Top-Producing Recruiter for 2011 is mentioned frequently.)

Without further adieu, below are our Special Award Winners for 2011.

Gail WilliamsHighest Split Placement Fee of the Year
Denise Milano Sprung of Joseph Associates and Gail Williams of Williams Recruiting, Inc.

This placement was for a Head of Cancer Biology.  Milano Sprung was the job order recruiter, and Williams was the candidate recruiter.  The action causing this split placement was listed as “Regular phone communication with a Top Echelon Network Preferred Member recruiter in my specialty area.”  Login to the Members’ Area to view the total fee associated with this placement.

Russell SchuttImporter of the Year
Russell Schutt, CSP of Progressive Executive, Inc.

This award is for the recruiter who supplied the job order in the split placement situations that produced the greatest amount of cash-in revenue during the 2011 calendar year.  Login to the Members’ Area in order to view the overall cash-in revenue that Schutt earned last year, as well as the number of times he provided the job order in a split placement situation.

Trey CameronExporter of the Year
Trey Cameron of the Cameron Craig Group

This award is for the recruiter who supplied the candidate in the split placement situations that produced the greatest amount of cash-in revenue during the 2011 calendar year.  Login to the Members’ Area in order to view the overall cash-in revenue that Cameron earned last year, as well as the number of times he provided the candidate in a split placement situation.

Trey Cameron100 Career Placements
Trey Cameron of the Cameron Craig Group

Cameron didn’t just eclipse the 100-placement mark, he shot past it in 2011.  In fact, he made a total of 26 Network placements during the calendar year.  Right now, his total stands at 116.  If he keeps making 26 placements per year, he’ll reach the 200-placement plateau fairly quickly.  Not only that, but he’s also closing in on $1 million cash-in for his Network career.  More awards await him.

— — —

Gene McQueenHighest Producing Agency
Cameron Craig Group

It’s probably not surprising that the Cameron Craig Group won this award, since this is Trey Cameron’s firm.  However, he wasn’t the only recruiter in the firm who generated revenue through the Network last year.  In addition to Cameron’s 26 placements, Gene McQueen made five placements.  The cash-in total from those 31 placements makes the Cameron Craig Group the Network’s Highest Producing Agency for 2011.

We’d like to congratulate ALL of our Special Award Winners, and we wish them continued success in Top Echelon Network in 2012!

Last week, I presented the names of roughly half of the Top Echelon Network Preferred Member recruiters who were Regional Award winners for 2011. Not only did I publish the names of each Regional Award winner, but I also included the names of the top five recruiters in each region throughout the country.

Top-Producing RecruitersThis week, I’ll be wrapping up our 2011 Regional Award winners by presenting the winners in the remaining four regions—South Atlantic, East South Central, West South Central, and Mountain.  As I mentioned last week, the Regional Awards are based upon the Frequent Placer Program (FPP) points that Preferred Member recruiters earn during the course of the calendar year.

Below are the winners of the remaining four regions within Top Echelon Network for 2011.  The top five recruiters in each region are listed, along with the number of FPP points they earned.  The top recruiter in each region will receive an award at the 2012 National Convention in Nashville, Tenn., later this month.

It might be an understatement to say that Trey Cameron of the Cameron Craig Group has been on fire in the Network during the past 12 to 18 months (not literaly, though . . . figuratively).  Not only was he the Top-Producing Recruiter in the Network for 2011, but he’s also earned numerous “Recruiter of the Month” and “Recruiter of the Quarter” awards, as well.

And . . . here we go again.

Top-Producing RecruitersThat’s because Cameron is the “Recruiter of the Month” for the recently completed month of February.  If you take a look in the Members’ Area, you’ll see that Cameron is leading the pack once again as far as cash-in totals are concerned, and his lead is a rather substantial one.  If he keeps this pace up, he’ll be the Top Producer in the Network for two years in a row.

Unless somebody can knock him off the top spot, that is.  Is that a challenge, you ask?  Of course it’s a challenge.

We recognize recruiters for both monthly and quarterly performance in three categories—“Recruiter of the Month,” “Recruiter of the Quarter,” and “Highest Split Placement Fee of the Month.”  For more information about the placements and cash-in totals associated with these awards, please login to the Members’ Area and view the profiles and placement details of the recruiters involved.

Well, it’s that time of year again.  It’s actually that time of year again for a lot of things, but one of them is recognizing the Top Producers in Top Echelon Network during the previous calendar year.

Top-Producing RecruitersOf course, we’ll be formally recognizing these Preferred Member recruiters at the upcoming 2012 National Convention at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, Tenn., next month, but in the meantime, we’d also like to recognize them in The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog.

We’re going to start with the Top 10 Producers Overall in the Network during the 2011 calendar year.  The number-one recruiter for 2011 was Trey Cameron of the Cameron Craig Group.  Cameron was fourth in 2010, and he made the leap to the top spot last year.

Sean Napoles, CPC of Career Brokers, Inc., who was number-one in 2010, was second last year.  Jim Strickland of BioSource International broke into the Top 10 by finishing in third place.

Below is the complete list of the Top 10 Producers Overall for 2011:

Trey Cameron1st—Trey Cameron of the Cameron Craig Group

2nd—Sean Napoles, CPC of Career Brokers, Inc.

3rd—Jim Strickland of BioSource International

4th—Denise Milano Sprung of JA Pharma, Inc.

5th—Russell Schutt, CSP of Progressive Executive, Inc.

6th—Angela Marasco of A. Marasco Recruiting, LLC

7th—Judy Kaplan of Prof’l Recruiting Consultants

8th—David M. Sgro, CPC of True North Consultants, Inc.

9th—Steve Brody of Executive Resource Systems

10th—Jim Fitzpatrick of Fitzpatrick & Associates

We’d like to congratulate all of these recruiters and thank them for their hard work and dedication as Preferred Members of our Network.  Their efforts are greatly appreciated, and we certainly wish them even more success in the future.

We’ll be publishing the winners of other 2011 awards in future issues of The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog.

Top-Producing RecruitersWhen it comes to recruiters who are model Preferred Members in Top Echelon Network, there might not be anybody who can top our most recent “Recruiter of the Month.”

Maria Hemminger of MJ Recruiters, LLC has been a Preferred Member recruiter since 2005, and since that time she’s made a total of 54 placements in the Network.  Hemminger attends Top Echelon Network conferences and conventions, she attends Regional Core Group meetings, and she participates in the Network in as many different ways as she can.

And that’s why she’s made 54 placements, why she’s a Top Producer in the Network, and why she’s the “Recruiter of the Month” for January.  Congratulations, Maria!  Here’s to 54 more Network placements (at least).

We recognize recruiters for both monthly and quarterly performance in two categories—”Recruiter of the Month” and “Highest Split Placement Fee of the Month.”  Remember, for more information about the placements and cash-in totals associated with these awards, please login to the Members’ Area and view the profiles and placement details of the recruiters involved.

Top-Producing RecruitersThe beginning of one year means . . . a bunch of Top Echelon Network awards need to be passed out for the previous year.  While we won’t be distributing any awards right now (we’ll do that at the upcoming 2012 National Convention instead), there are some accomplishments that we’d like to recognize for the month of December and the fourth quarter of 2011.

If it appears as though one picture keeps displaying below, that’s because it is—the picture of Trey Cameron of the Cameron Craig Group.  Cameron was part of three of the four recognition awards for December and the fourth quarter, including “Recruiter of the Month” and “Recruiter of the Quarter.”  As you might imagine, he’s in line to receive quite a bit of hardware at the National Convention, as well.  We’ll let you know exactly how much hardware Cameron—and other Preferred Member recruiters—won during 2011 in a future issue of The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog.

In the meantime, below are the winners of the recognition awards for December and the fourth quarter of the year.  We’d like to congratulate those recruiters who earned them and thank them for their efforts.  For more information about the placements and cash-in totals associated with these recognition awards, please login to the Members’ Area and view the profiles and placement details of the recruiters involved.

Cameron, who also won this award for the third quarter of 2011, made a total of eight split placements during the recently completed fourth quarter.  Four recuiters made three split placements each.  They were Jim Strickland of BioSource International; Sean Napoles of Career Brokers, Inc.; Rebecca Kohn of Affinity Executive Search; and Steve Brody of Executive Resource Systems.

Denise Milano Sprung of JA Pharma, Inc. and Jim Strickland of BioSource International

This placement was for a Lead Neurologist.  Milano Sprung was the job order recruiter, and Strickland was the candidate recruiter.  The action causing this placement was a collaborative effort between Milano Sprung and Strickland to close the candidate, who applied for the position through Strickland’s Hiring Hook website.

Our criteria for these recognition awards:

Top Echelon Network is a split placement network.  As such, we place an emphasis on split placements, and that emphasis constitutes the basis of our criteria for these recognition awards.  We determine the monthly and quarterly award winners based upon two factors, which are listed below in order of importance:

1.) The number of split placements made
2.) The amount of cash-in dollars earned as a result of those split placements

In other words, the number of split placements that recruiters make is our first consideration.  In the event of a tie, the cash-in total earned from those split placements is the deciding factor and serves to break the tie.  Obviously, the recruiter with more cash-in dollars in the event of a tie is the recruiter who wins the recognition award.

Top-Producing Recruiters

Last week, we highlighted Larry Radzely of Adel-Lawrence Associates for his consistent split placement production during his tenure as a Preferred Member recruiter in Top Echelon Network.  We also promised to highlight more recruiters just like him.  Well, this week, we are!

Actually, this recruiter—Jim Strickland of BioSource International—basically forced us to highlight him, mainly because he’s the “Recruiter of the Month” for the month of November.  Not only did he win that award, but he also earned a share of the “Highest Split Placement Fee of the Month” award.

Strickland has made a total of 77 Network placements since he became a Preferred Member recruiter in 2003.  Once again, he’s one of those recruiters who “flies beneath the radar” in the Network, but one who continues to churn out placements year after year.  Everybody at Top Echelon would like to congratulate Strickland on his accomplishments and also wish him many more split placements in the years to come!

Remember, for more information about the placements and cash-in totals associated with these awards, please login to the Members’ Area and view the profiles and placement details of the recruiters involved.  Peace.

Strickland was one of three recruiters who made two Network split placements during the month of November.  However, he edged out Rebecca Kohn of Affinity Executive Search and Carol Brinkman of Corporate Resources, LLC based upon his cash-in total for those placements, which was $33,722.50.  Although the other two recruiters also made two split placements during the month, Strickland boasted a greater cash-in total than they did.

Denise Milano SprungJim StricklandHighest Split Placement Fee of the Month
Jim Strickland of BioSource International and Denise Milano Sprung of JA Pharma, Inc.

This hefty fee (which helped Strickland win the “Recruiter of the Month” award) was earned by placing a Lead Neurologist.  The catalyst for this placement was Strickland’s Hiring Hook website, since the candidate applied for Milano Sprung’s job on his website.

Top-Producing Recruiters

The longer Top Echelon Network exists . . . the fewer Charter Members there are.  That’s just one of the unfortunate consequences of longevity.  However, there’s one Charter Member who’s still going strong in the Network, and that Preferred Member recruiter is Steve Brody of Executive Resource Systems.

Brody has been an extremely consistent producer in Top Echelon Network since he joined back at the very beginning—March 8, 1988.  During his 20-plus years in the Network, Brody has now made a total of 93 placements, with five of those placements occurring this year.

In addition, three of his placements for 2011 were made recently, which is the reason that Brody is the “Recruiter of the Month” for the month of October.  That’s just one of the two award winners we’re announcing in this Pinnacle Newsletter Blog post (actually, one of three, since the other award includes a pair of recruiters).

Remember, for more information about the placements and cash-in totals associated with these awards, please login to the Members’ Area and view the profiles and placement details of the recruiters involved.

Brody was one of two recruiters who made three Network split placements during the month of October.  However, he edged out Trey Cameron of the Cameron Craig Group based upon his cash-in total for those split placements.

Among the Preferred Member recruiters who made two split placements apiece during the month of October were Bob Small of Carroll Technology Services, Inc. and David M. Sgro of True North Consultants, Inc.  (In fact, the two spit placements that Small and Sgro made were with each other!)

What’s one of the best ways to enjoy success as a recruiter in Top Echelon Network?  By finding out how other recruiters are enjoying success in the Network.

While it’s definitely tougher to make placements in this economy, some Preferred Member recruiters are still making just as many split placements as they’ve always made . . . and we’re going to find out why.

Up first is David M. Sgro of True North Consultants, Inc.  Before we address the ways in which Sgro is making the split placements that he’s making, we’re going to analyze his production, especially the split placements he’s made in the Network within the past few years.

David M. SgroRecruiter: David M. Sgro
Firm: True North Consultants, Inc.

Industries/Niches: Information Technology
Network Join Date: July 27, 2006
Total # of Placements: 42
Network Cash-in Total: $345,505
Average Cash-in Per Year Since 2006: $69,101

It’s important to note for our purposes that Sgro has had two stints in Top Echelon Network as a Preferred Member recruiter.  He was previously a Member from 2000 to 2002.

It’s also important to note that Sgro decided to re-apply for Membership in the Network after attending the Annual Ohio Regional Core Group Golf Outing, which remains a yearly event.  Debra Stitt, CPC of Quality Source Inc. of Ohio invited him to the Outing, and that became the first step in what has been a very successful relationship for Sgro and Top Echelon Network.

Okay, now there’s a good chance that many recruiters would agree that this most recent recession was the most challenging one they’ve ever endured.  They might also agree that current conditions (companies looking for the “perfect” candidate, an agonizingly long hiring process) are still making it tough for recruiters to make placements.

However, Sgro’s placement numbers have remained rather consistent during the past four years, and it’s possible that he could has his best year in terms of split placements since 2007, when he made 14 in the Network.  Below is a look at his yearly placement totals as a Preferred Member:

2011: 7
2010: 3
2009: 4
2008: 8
2007: 14
2006: 3
2002: 1
2000: 2

Here are some other important facts regarding Sgro’s production:

  • His 42 placements have been made with 22 different Trading Partners, illustrating Sgro’s desire for networking and ability to share information and collaborate with many recruiters.
  • Four of his 42 split placements have been contract split placements.  Sgro has made contract staffing a part of his recruiting desk, so much so that he conducted a training session about it at the recent 2011 Top Echelon Network Fall Conference in Chicago.

So—how is Sgro enjoying success in the Network when other recruiters aren’t able to do so?  This is a question that we’ll be tackling in future issues of The Pinnacle newsletter, specifically in regards to the Trading Partner relationships that he has with Bob Small of Carroll Technology Services, Inc. and Maria Hemminger of MJ Recruiters, LLC.

Sgro and Small have made nine split placements so far, and their relationship continues to bear fruit.  Meanwhile, Sgro and Hemminger have made three split placements and are currently together in a unique way, one that takes the Pillar of Trust in Top Echelon Network to a whole new level.  Stay tuned . . .
