Matt DeutschIs this really the last chance for your recruiting firm to get a FREE website evaluation from Top Echelon?

No, it’s not . . . not really.

BUT the response to our free offer has been tremendous, as over 125 recruiting firms have indicated they want to have their website evaluated.  As you might imagine, we’re working at a fever pitch to provide those evaluations.  (Each one involves a three-page document outlining our analysis and recommendations.)

We’re in the process of scheduling consultations to review the evaluations.  Since it’s only January 2, there’s still plenty of time to request an evaluation and schedule a consultation.  (Unless, of course, you’re still on vacation.  In that case, you might have some hesitation in regards to this proclamation.)

Where was I?

Ah, yes.  This blog post will be the last time we reference our free website evaluations for a while.  We have other irons in fire, bigger fish to fry, more chickens to count before they hatch, and so on.  (Not the least of which is the 2013 Top Echelon Network National Convention!  Have you registered?  Have you?)

In the meantime, let me reiterate that there are four areas we address during these evaluations.  Of course, in keeping with Top Echelon’s mission statement, our focus on these areas is designed to help recruiting firms make more placements.

The four areas are as follows:

  1. Layout/design
  2. Navigation/functionality
  3. Search engine optimization (SEO)
  4. Mobile availability (responsive design)

Our recommendations are based upon over 15 years of providing website services for recruiting and staffing firms and our dedication to staying up-to-date on the latest in website tools and technology.

Remember, all we need to conduct a website evaluation is your firm’s website address, which you can submit by clicking on the link below:

Click here for your FREE website evaluation!

The year 2012 was more like a compressed zip file than an actual year, 12 months condensed into what seemed like six.  The next time you turn around, it will be the Fourth of July . . . then Labor Day . . . then Christmas again.

Take the opportunity now for an evaluation.  Then you won’t have to worry about it.  The site you save may be your own.

We’ve asked this question, but what the heck, let’s ask it again: “What’s better than making one placement?

Answer: “Making two placements!”

But what if you could make TWO placement fees on the same placement?  In other words, you place ONE candidate, and that one placement produces TWO fees.  Sounds good, does it not?

Well, that’s exactly what happens when one of your clients hires on a temp-to-direct basis.  This is how it works:

  1. A client hires one of your candidates for a contract assignment.  As a result, you receive steady cash flow in the form of contract placement checks for the life of that assignment.
  2. The client decides that it now wants to hire your contract candidate on a full-time basis.
  3. Luckily, you have language in your Fee Agreement that dictates the client will now owe you a conversion fee for hiring the candidate on a full-time basis.
  4. The client sends you a direct-hire placement fee, in addition to all of the contract placement checks you’ve been receiving.  Cha-ching!

This week in The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog, we have a case study about a contract-to-direct placement involving two Preferred Member recruiters.  These two recruiters have made split placements before, they know how each other likes to work, and they have a great Trading Partner relationship.

As a result, they’re not splitting one placement fee.  They’re splitting TWO placement fees instead!

For more information about how you can add contract staffing to your business model and increase your firm’s monthly revenue, contact Top Echelon Contracting, the recruiter’s back-office solution.

Forget about exercising in the New Year . . . make contract placements instead!

Preferred Member recruiter John Zurek of Zurek Professional Resources, LLC gave me a great idea recently.  That’s because he complimented a Trading Partner for a recent split placement simply by leaving a comment at the bottom of the Pinnacle blog post in which the placement was highlighted.

Although many recruiters choose to include their comments with their Completed Placement Forms, that’s certainly not the only way to publicly praise Trading Partners for their help closing a deal.

It’s possible that some Preferred Member recruiters prefer to do what Zurek did: simply post a comment at the end of the blog post.  No runs, no drips, no errors.  (Bonus points if you can identify the commercial that spawned that “catch” phrase.  Email your answer to me.)

Anyway, I’d like to invite you to do just that.  Specifically, if you make a Network split placement and we publish it in The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog, please comment on that placement and compliment your Trading Partner for their help in making it happen.

This goes not just for this week, but for the rest of this year.  After all, everybody loves placement checks and everybody loves receiving kudos with their placement checks.  Throw in some cake and ice cream, and what more could you ask for?  (No, we’re not providing the cake and ice cream . . . I already asked.)

Wait a minute . . . the Mayans were wrong?  The world didn’t end?  We’re still here?  The Pinnacle has to go out AGAIN?

Well, that’s okay.  It sure beats the alternative, doesn’t it?  Besides, we’d rather have a “Maja Split Placement” than a “Mayan Apocalypse” any day of the week.  (And twice on Sunday, even though we’re not in the office on Sundays.  Why bring that up?  Because office hours are important.)

Maja Munoz of Human Technologies, Inc. became a Preferred Member recruiter in January of 2012.  Over the course of the year, she made three split fee recruiting placements in the Network.

If every Preferred Member recruiter made three split placements during their first year in the Network, we’d throw a huge party.  If every Preferred Member recruiter made three split placements every year, we’d throw an even bigger party.

For now, though, we’re more than happy to celebrate a “Maja Split Placement” rather than a “Mayan Apocalypse.”  Not . . . that there would be much to celebrate with the latter.

Fireworks are often used to celebrate the beginning of a New Year.  But if those people were recruiters, they’d probably want to make placements right before the New Year instead.

Like these recruiters, for instance!

'Comments' and ComplimentsThis past year was very good to the Trading Partner relationship of two of the job placement recruiters below, as they made four split placements during 2012.  Those recruiters, Georgette Sandifer and Larry Radzely, have now made seven split placements together in Top Echelon Network.

The other recruiters in this week’s installment of “Comments and Compliments” recently made their first split placement together in the Network.  That, of course, is also cause for celebration.

Seventh split placement, first split placement, the beginning of a New Year . . . let the party begin!

If you’d like to thank another recruiter for their efforts in a split fee recruiting placement situation, send your information to marketing@topechelon.com.  Your comments might be included in an upcoming issue of The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog!

Matt DeutschAt Top Echelon Network, we’re running a poll in the Members’ Area this week asking if Preferred Member recruiters are planning to re-design or update their firm’s website in 2013.

So far, it appears that a little less than half of recruiters participating in the poll plan to update their firm’s website.

Evaluating your own website can be a tricky business, especially when you’re busy working your desk or running your firm—or both.  Not only that, but technology is constantly changing and evolving, and that includes life on the Internet.

What does a good recruiting website look like?  What should it do?  How should it function?  All good questions and all questions that need to be answered before any re-designing or updating is done.

With that in mind, we’re currently offering FREE website evaluations to recruiting firms.  These evaluations will focus on the basics of what a recruiting firm’s website should look like and what it should do.

Specifically, these evaluations will include two aspects of your firm’s site: its form and its function.

FORM:

The look of the site—Is it clean, crisp, and professional?
The layout of the site—Does it have what’s called a “3-2-1 layout”?

FUNCTION:

The architecture of the site—Is it easy for visitors to navigate?
The functionality of the site—Can you post jobs to it and also to social media?
Whether or not the site has “responsive design”—Does it look good on smartphones and tablet devices?

All we need to conduct a website evaluation is your firm’s website address, which you can submit by clicking on the link below:

Click here for your FREE website evaluation!

Please note that you are under NO obligation and you don’t have to do anything to get your free evaluation other than submit your firm’s website address.  You can take any and all information that we provide and do with it as you see fit.

There are a lot of recruiters planning to re-design or update their site next year, and we want to help them make informed decisions so they can put themselves in the best position possible to make more placements in 2013!

There’s all sorts of good stuff in this week’s installment of “Comments and Compliments“!

One set of recruiters is making their fourth split placement together . . . but the first in a different niche.

Another set of recruiters is making their first split placement together . . . and for one of the recruiters, it’s their first-ever split placement in Top Echelon recruiter network!

But wait, there’s more!

'Comments' and ComplimentsWe’re talking about split placements that happened because of the high quality of the candidates submitted by the exporters in each case.  Phrases like “stellar candidates” and adjectives such as “hard-to-find” typify this week’s comments.

What does this mean?  If you have an open job order and you’re having trouble finding the right type of candidates to fill that order, use the resources of Top Echelon’s split fee recruiting network to help you do it.  It worked for these recruiters, and it can work for you.

If you’d like to thank another recruiter for their efforts in a split placement situation, send your information to marketing@topechelon.com.  Your comments might be included in an upcoming issue of The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog!

You want special mention in The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog?  Well, all you have to do is this: make two split placements in Top Echelon Network in the same week.

You do that, and you’re golden . . . just like Preferred Member recruiter Ken Nunley of 7 Solutions USA in Kingston Springs, Tenn.

Nunley made two split placements this week, and they’re listed below.  Not only that, but the splits were generated for two different reasons: because of a Hiring Hook recruiting website and also because of regular communication with another Network recruiter.

Nunley, a regular attendee of Top Echelon Network conferences and conventions, has made 26 placements so far during his tenure in the Network, including five this year.  At this rate, he’s setting himself up enjoy an equally successful year within the Network in 2013.

So congratulations, Ken Nunley . . . may you enjoy this week’s “Split Placement Spotlight”!

The headline of this week’s installment of “Comments and Compliments” says it all.

Why is that?  Because that’s what we want ALL Preferred Member recruiters in Top Echelon Network to say about their Trading Partners!

'Comments' and ComplimentsAnd what makes these comments even more special is that they involve a split between two new Network Members who made their first placement.  Nothing stokes confidence about the future than success in the present, and that’s exactly the case here.

As if that’s not enough, the other two recruiters in this week’s installment also made their first split placement together.  Their success underscores the importance of the split fee recruiting Network even further.  You don’t have to be a new Preferred Member to make splits with recruiters you’ve never made splits with before.

All you need is the desire to make split placements with Network recruiters you’ve never made splits with before.  Desire precedes everything.  If you have that, you’ll make split placements . . . just like these recruiters.

If you’d like to thank another recruiter for their efforts in a split placement situation, send your information to marketing@topechelon.com.  Your comments might be included in an upcoming issue of The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog!

Want to know how to make more split placements in Top Echelon Network?

Then call Membership Development Coordinator Drea Codispoti.  Why?  Because Drea helps Preferred Member recruiters in Top Echelon Network make more split placements.

A few months ago, we presented a case study in The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog that illustrated this fact perfectly . . . and now we have another case study!

In this case study, the same thing happened, namely a recruiter asked Drea what they should do, Drea told them what to do, and that led to a split placement.

Here’s the best part: the recruiter who asked Drea for advice ultimately made his first split placement as a Preferred Member recruiter!  Now that’s a cause for celebration!  (Who’s bringing the cake?  No cake?  What about ice cream?  Darn.)

Anyway, if YOU want to know what you should do to make more split placements, CALL Drea at (330) 455-1433, Ext. 156. He’s helped others, and he can help you, too!
