Every recruiter who takes a job order from a company wants that company’s hiring manager to be thrilled when they eventually fill the order with the recruiter’s candidate.  Not just satisfied, but thrilled.  That’s because thrilling a hiring manager with a great candidate means future business in the form of more job orders.

These days, though, highly qualified candidates can be difficult to come by.  As a result, positions can stay open . . . and open . . . and open.  That’s not a very thrilling situation—for anybody.

'Comments' and ComplimentsBUT when you’re a Preferred Member recruiter, you have access to not only your own candidates, but also to other Members’ candidates in Top Echelon recruiter network.  That can make all the difference in the world, namely the difference between an open position and an unimpressed hiring manager and a filled position and a thrilled hiring manager.

A filled position, a placement fee, a thrilled hiring manager, and the increased possibility of repeat business: that’s a pretty healthy return on the investment of Preferred Membership in Top Echelon Network.  That’s also the theme running through this week’s installment of “Comments and Compliments,” as you can see below.

If you’d like to thank one of our top recruiters for their efforts in a split placement situation, send your information to marketing@topechelon.com.  Your comments might be included in an upcoming issue of The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog!

Recent PlacementsThere are many, many ways that Preferred Member recruiters can make split placements in Top Echelon Network—and this Pinnacle Newsletter Blog post illustrates that!

In fact, it’s a veritable “grab bag” of split placement action . . . perhaps for want of a better phrase.  But nonetheless, all the split placements listed below happened for different reasons.  In other words, they all had different catalysts.

This blog post is also further evidence that if you do the things that lead most directly to making split placements, you increase the chances that you’re going to make split placements.  It sounds simple, but it really IS that simple:

  • Communicate regularly with Trading Partners.
  • Search the Top Echelon Network Split Databases.
  • Use the Job Order Alerts and Candidate Alerts.
  • Make your firm’s website a Hiring Hook Website.

And these are just some of the things that you can do to increase your chances of making split placements and adding revenue to your firm’s bottom line.  Yes, that’s right, you guessed it—there’s more.  But that’s a blog post for another day . . .

Contracting StatisticsFor years, The Cornerstone, the newsletter of Top Echelon contract staffing recruiters, was sent to the Preferred Members of Top Echelon Network.  The Cornerstone was eventually discontinued in favor of another newsletter, Contracting Corner, which is now published once a quarter.

However, we still run contracting statistics in select issues of The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog.  These statistics include Non-Split Contract PlacementsSplit Contract Placements, and Non-Recruited Placements, among others.

Below are the most recent statistics regarding contract placements made by Preferred Member recruiters, courtesy of Top Echelon Contracting.

These are Preferred Member recruiters just like you . . . proving that YOU can make contract placements, too!  All you have to do is let your clients know that you can provide contract candidates and then call Top Echelon Contracting.  They’ll take care of the rest.

Drea Codispoti, CPC/CERSI have great news: the dates AND the location for the 2012 Top Echelon Network Fall Conference have been set!

Those dates are Thursday, October 11, and Friday, October 12.

The location, of course, is Chicago.  More specifically, though, the location is the Sheraton Gateway Suites.  We’ve held the Fall Conference at the Suites countless times in the past, but last year we deviated from that routine and the site of the conference was the Embassy Suites.

However, we’re excited to be back at the Sheraton, and we’re excited to invite you to join us in Chicago for another great event.  There was a healthy turnout recently at the National Convention in Nashville, and we anticipate that attendance at the Fall Conference could be even higher.

Below are some things you should look for in the weeks and months ahead:

  • The cost of the convention—We’ll be releasing “Early Bird Registration” soon.
  • The room rate for the hotel—We’re in the process of negotiating that, and we’ll announce that, as well.
  • The speaker for the convention and the preliminary agenda—We’ll release this information at the same time we release “Early Bird Registration.”

In the meantime, circle the dates for the Fall Conference on your calendar: Thursday, October 11, and Friday, October 12.  Make plans to join us in Chicago.

And remember . . . I’ll know if you’re not there.
