In the “The Hot Sheet” feature, we highlight successful Trading Partner relationships within Top Echelon Network.  We’re talking about relationships that have resulted in split placement income for the recruiters involved.

We’d like to congratulate those recruiters who are part of this week’s installment, and we wish them even more placement success in the future!

The Players:

The Money:

Since April of last year, Smith and Burchell have made four split placements together in the Healthcare IT industry.

The Sizzle:

Juli Smith“In late 2009, we switched recruiting disciplines from Civil Engineering to Healthcare IT.  I reached out to everyone in the Network who was working in our new discipline of Healthcare IT, and Chris Burchell was one of the people I called.  We made our first split about four months after we first spoke.

“Chris is enthusiastic, very open, and very trustworthy.  We communicate on a weekly basis and some weeks on a daily basis about our hot candidates, as well as the jobs we have that are hot.  In February, we both realized that we would be attending the HIMSS Conference in Orlando, so it was really nice to meet him in person and put the face with the voice.  He has become a very important extension of our team and one of our best teaming partners.  I love his sense of humor, too.  He’s been great to work with!”

—Juli Smith

Chris Burchell“Working with The Smith Group over the past year and a half has been a terrific experience.  We have made numerous placements together over that time, and much of it is due to our constant communication with one another.  Our relationship developed pretty quickly, as we happened to be entering a new vertical at roughly the same time.  Instead of looking at ourselves as separate agencies, we chose to pool our resources, industry knowledge, and of course, candidates and job orders.  This enabled us to leverage our knowledge capital and ‘get a feel’ for each other and how we work.

“Today, we are so close that we’re on [instant messenger] together, and constantly provide candidate/job order updates, along with random ‘digs’ every now and then.  I even had the pleasure of meeting Juli at the 2011 HIMSS meeting in February, and she looks a lot younger in person (yes, that would be one of those ‘digs’).  My business is better because of our relationship, but I have also been fortunate enough to make some good friends.”

You think you’re ‘Hot Sheet’ material, don’t you?

Do you have a Trading Partner with whom you work particularly well?  Are you churning out split placements year after year?  Well, then you just might be “Hot Sheet” material!  We’re always looking to highlight the most successful Trading Partner relationships within the pages of The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog, and yours could be next.  Feel free to nominate yourself (and your Trading Partner) by sending an email to marketing@TopEchelon.com.  We’ll take care of the rest.  Well, most of the rest, anyway.

We at Top Echelon Network are continually emphasizing that Preferred Member recruiters should meet one another on a face-to-face basis.  That’s one of the many reasons we hold a National Convention and Fall Conference every year.  (Because it all leads to split placements!)

But we also like to encourage Preferred Members to meet outside of those events, and as often as possible.  If you have information and/or a photo of your latest face-to-face meeting with another Member, please send that information to marketing@TopEchelon.com.

Bob Gabor of The Gabor Group in Akron, Ohio, and John Snyder of CareersPro, Inc. in Fort Wayne, Ind., met each other face-to-face recently at the Acapulco Grill in Angola, Ind.  Bob emailed the picture below, as well as the accompanying information, to Membership Development Coordinator Drea Codispoti.

— — —

Bob Gabor and John Snyder“Drea, I know Snyder already sent you the picture, but here is the rest of the story.  And the food was well worth the side trip to Angola.  The company, too.

I liked having lunch with Snyds.  It was one of the best (most authentic) Mexican restaurants I’ve been to this side of the border.

Five things I learned at lunch.

1.) His Spanish is excellent . . . shocked the waitress . . . English, not so much.
2.) Snyds does not look Mexican . . . see #1 and the picture (editor’s note: Snyder is on the left).
3.) Focker knows his Mexican food.
4.) I could play center on his basketball team!  (I did ask him to stand up for the picture.)
5.) Shaved heads need sun screen before you go outside.

Thanks again, Snyds.  Who knew Angola, Indiana, had such a pretty lake community just a few miles off the turnpike?”

Remember, if you have information and/or a photo of your latest face-to-face meeting with another Member, please send that information to marketing@TopEchelon.com.  You’ll receive Frequent Placer Program (FPP) points, like Bob and John did.  And you might make more split placements!  (Editor’s Note: Bob has made 45 placements in Top Echelon Network, and John has made 12 Network placements.)

'Comments' and ComplimentsMore isn’t necessarily better . . . unless, of course, you’re talking about split placements.  And then more is definitely better.

We’ve continued to receive a steady stream of comments from Preferred Member recruiters wanting to praise their Trading Partners for recent split placements.  In other words, there have been more ‘Comments,’ more compliments, and more split placements, and that’s better for everybody.

We want you to join the party!  If you have comments for a Trading Partner regarding a split placement, please email those comments to marketing@TopEchelon.com.

Debra Stitt, CPC of Quality Source Inc. of Ohio in Lakewood, Ohio, and John Zurek of Zurek Professional Resources, LLC in St. Petersburg, Fla., met each other face-to-face on Friday, February 11.  Debra emailed the picture below, as well as the accompanying information, to Top Echelon Network.

— — —

Debra Stitt and John Zurek“Well, today was a good day!  Zurek and Stitt finally meet face-to-face.  JZ lives in St. Petersburg, Fla., and I now spend the winters in Boynton Beach, Fla.  John and I (my John) had our annual golf trip with friends from Ohio, and this year it was in Tampa.  So, we made the trip up from southern Florida.  Since Tampa and St. Petersburg are neighbors, it was a perfect opportunity for two veteran Top Echelon Network Members to meet . . . so we made it happen.  JZ also brought his lovely wife, Pat, who I really enjoyed!  What a nice person!  Unfortunately, she doesn’t appear in the photo we took.

“We broke bread, shared good conversation, and had a few laughs at Giordano’s—known for its authentic, stuffed, Chicago-style pizza.  Mmmm-mmmm-mmmm!

“Meeting in person is awesome!  I’m so glad we made it a priority!”

Remember, if you have information and/or a photo of your latest face-to-face meeting with another Member, please send that information to marketing@TopEchelon.com.  You’ll receive Frequent Placer Program (FPP) points, like Debra and John did.  And you might make more split placements!  We’re not kidding . . . hey, come back here!  (Editor’s Note: John has made 59 placements in Top Echelon Network, and Debra has made 29 Network placements.)

Matt DeutschDown through the years, there have been numerous Trading Partner relationships in Top Echelon Network that have reached legendary status.  We’re talking about recruiters who have made 20 or 30 split placements together . . . in some cases, even more.

One such relationship currently exists within the Network, and the two recruiters involved are Gary Silver of The Shay Group and Donna Carroll of Systems Personnel.  Not only have Silver and Carroll made a ton of split placements together, they both reached a milestone in 2010.

Carroll made her 100th placement as a Preferred Member recruiter in Top Echelon Network, while Silver made his 200 career placement.  Both will receive a plaque at the 2011 National Convention in May to commemorate their accomplishments.

Gary SilverBut that’s not all.  Carroll’s 100th Network placement and Silver’s 200th Network placement was one in the same—in other words, it was a split placement between the two of them!  They were able to celebrate their milestone together with yet another split placement, and they’re not showing any signs of slowing down soon.

In fact, both have shot past their milestone placement.  As of the publication of this blog post, Carroll’s placement total in Top Echelon Network stood at 111.  Silver, meanwhile, is already up to 213 placements, quickly climbing the charts of Top Echelon’s all-time leaders.  (It should be noted that Silver is also a Million Dollar Producer in the Network.)

Donna Carroll, CPCSilver and Carroll haven’t been shy about complimenting one another for their Trading Partner relationship in the past.  In fact, they’ve been participants in our ‘Comments’ and Compliments Extra” feature in the newsletter.  You can read their segment of that feature by clicking here.

We’ll be delving deeper into Silver and Caroll’s Trading Partner relationship and what makes it to successful in next week’s issue of The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog.  Their relationship is based upon and is fueled by The Four Pillars of Top Echelon Network—Quality, Communication, Trust, and Active Participation.

However, in the meantime, we want to congratulate the two of them for the milestones that they reached in 2010 and the awards that they won for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to the Network.

'Comments' and ComplimentsSplit placements are up . . . optimism is up . . . and so are the number of submissions that we’ve received from recruiters for our “‘Comments’ and Compliments” feature.  In fact, we received five last week alone.

Preferred Members of our Network love to make split placements, and they love to shower their Trading Partners with praise when they do make split placements.  Far be it from us to prevent them from making their praise a public matter (within the Network, at any rate).

And as you know, we don’t disclose the amount of the fee earned with these split placements.  For that information, login to the Members’ Area and view the profiles and placement details of the recruiters involved.  Go ahead . . . do it.

'Comments' and ComplimentsThe beat goes on with one of our most popular features: “‘Comments’ and Compliments.”  And just like some of the recruiters in our Network are somewhat quirky (we prefer the term “fun loving”), sometimes this regular feature is quirky, as well.

Actually, when you think about it, it makes perfect sense.  After all, when you make a placement, you feel like singing, don’t you?  How could you not?  And if you make a split placement with one of your Trading Partners, might you feel compelled to sing a song about that recruiter?  Of course.  That was the case with a recent split placement featured in this installment of “‘Comments’ and Compliments.”

As a reminder, we’re still not disclosing the amount of the fee earned with these split placements.  For that information, login to the Members’ Area and view the profiles and placement details of the recruiters involved.  That’s a suggestion, not a demand . . . in case you were wondering.

One of our more popular Pinnacle features is back!  And that’s “‘Comments’ and Compliments,” in which we publish some of the comments that Preferred Member recruiters submit with their Completed Placement Forms.

It’s a New Year . . . so we have new recruiters and new comments.  One thing that hasn’t changed, though, is that we’re still not disclosing the amount of the fee earned with these split placements.  For that information, login to the Members’ Area and view the profiles and placement details of the recruiters involved.  Please and thank-you.
