21 Months, 34 Interviews, 2 Recruiters, and 1 Split Placement

We’ve chronicled in the past how patience and persistence in recruiting can pay off.  And not just what could be considered a “normal” amount, either.  We’re talking about extraordinary levels of patience and persistence . . . like the levels involved in this story of Top Echelon Network split placement success.

The story, of course, involves two Preferred Member recruiters: Tom Heeney, CPC of Corporate Resources, LLC and Lloyd Shoemaker of Miami Professional Search, LLC.  All you really need to tell you about the split placement that Heeney and Shoemaker made is contained in the information listed below:

Job search: began one year and nine months ago in January of 2011
Job title: began as a Senior Design Engineer
Job title accepted: Lead Technical Support Engineer
Initial salary range: $50K-$60K + bonus, no relocation
Number of candidates interviewed: 34
Offer accepted: $84,500

'Comments' and Compliments ExtraEVERYTHING about this job order changed from the time that Heeney received it, from the job title to the initial salary range.  Not only that, but a total of 34 candidates were interviewed for the position.

However, because of the tenacity of the recruiters involved, they rode the ebb and flow of recruiting, hiring, and placement process, and now they’ve reaped the benefits of their seemingly endless patience and persistence.  The kicker is that this is the FIRST split placements that Heeney and Shoemaker have made together in Top Echelon Network . . . and what a memorable one it is.
