Drea Codispoti, CPC/CERSThese days, you can’t get people’s attention unless you have a list . . . so I made up a list of three great reasons you should attend the 2013 Top Echelon Network National Convention.

Are there more than three reasons?  Sure there are.  But in the interest of brevity, I’m only presenting that many.

Reason #1—Danny Cahill!  He’s going to be the main speaker for the convention.  It’s been quite a few years since Danny presented for us at a Top Echelon Network event, and we’re certainly glad he’ll be in St. Petersburg for the convention.  In fact, I know there are some recruiters who are going to sign up for the event JUST because he’s speaking.  Danny is wealth of recruiting information, and you have a chance to tap into that information at the convention.

Reason #2—You’ll have the chance to find new split placement Trading Partners.  This opportunity is huge draw for split-minded recruiters.  They love networking with other recruiters and meeting them face-to-face, sharing hot job orders and candidates, and setting themselves up for making more splits in the future.  It never fails: placements result from each and every event that we hold, and this one will be no exception.  I’ll be sure to publish details of those placements following the convention.

Reason #3—Early Bird Registration is just $495 per person.  Year are year, no matter what the inflation rate is for everything else, the cost of the convention stays the same.  We have no interest in raising the rate.  Why?  Because we know that the convention is good for your business, and if it’s good for your business, then it’s good for us.  Not only that, but if you register before the end of the year, the cost of the convention will count toward this year’s expenses.

There’s my list.  Just three items, but they are three great reasons to register for the convention and to do it sooner rather than later.

So register for the 2013 National Convention!

You want special mention in The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog?  Well, all you have to do is this: make two split placements in Top Echelon Network in the same week.

You do that, and you’re golden . . . just like Preferred Member recruiter Ken Nunley of 7 Solutions USA in Kingston Springs, Tenn.

Nunley made two split placements this week, and they’re listed below.  Not only that, but the splits were generated for two different reasons: because of a Hiring Hook recruiting website and also because of regular communication with another Network recruiter.

Nunley, a regular attendee of Top Echelon Network conferences and conventions, has made 26 placements so far during his tenure in the Network, including five this year.  At this rate, he’s setting himself up enjoy an equally successful year within the Network in 2013.

So congratulations, Ken Nunley . . . may you enjoy this week’s “Split Placement Spotlight”!

Contracting StatisticsFor years, The Cornerstone, the newsletter of Top Echelon contract staffing, was sent to the Preferred Members of Top Echelon Network.  The Cornerstone was eventually discontinued in favor of another newsletter, Contracting Corner, which is now published once a quarter.

However, we still run contracting statistics in select issues of The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog.  These statistics include Non-Split Contract PlacementsSplit Contract Placements, and Non-Recruited Placements, among others.

Below are the most recent statistics regarding contract placements made by Preferred Member recruiters, courtesy of Top Echelon Contracting.

When you make contract placements, your recruiting firm receives steady, predictable revenue week after week and month after month.  It’s like the gift that keeps on giving . . . the whole year!  (Insert Cousin Eddie voice for added effect.)

In fact, many of the Top Producers in Top Echelon Network have added contract staffing to their recruiting firm’s business model and have also taken advantage of the services provided by Top Echelon Contracting, the recruiter’s employer of record services.

Debbie FledderjohannYou think you’ve found the perfect candidate for your client’s tough job order.  He passed the phone interview and the following three in-person interviews with flying colors.  He aced all of the skills and assessment tests.  He has all of the qualifications and seems to be a perfect cultural fit.

But while your client deliberates over whether this is really the BEST they can do, your candidate takes another job.

A slow hiring process wears candidates down and ultimately costs you time and money as you start the search process over and over again.  Dragging out a search can also deter candidates before they even apply.  According to www.ere.net citing a Randstad survey, candidates start to think there is something wrong with a job posting if it remains unfilled after 72 days.

Mark Bull, the UK CEO of Randstad, told ERE that the best applicants can often be found early in the process and that employers should have the courage to act quickly.

“If they don’t, they have to be prepared to see that job seeker walk into the arms of a competitor who is willing to move faster,” he said.

You can help make that decision easier for your client by offering to provide that candidate on a contract-to-direct basis. This gives the client the opportunity to “try-before-they-buy” risk-free.  And in the meantime, you prevent losing a quality candidate . . . and the placement fee.

The headline of this week’s installment of “Comments and Compliments” says it all.

Why is that?  Because that’s what we want ALL Preferred Member recruiters in Top Echelon Network to say about their Trading Partners!

'Comments' and ComplimentsAnd what makes these comments even more special is that they involve a split between two new Network Members who made their first placement.  Nothing stokes confidence about the future than success in the present, and that’s exactly the case here.

As if that’s not enough, the other two recruiters in this week’s installment also made their first split placement together.  Their success underscores the importance of the split fee recruiting Network even further.  You don’t have to be a new Preferred Member to make splits with recruiters you’ve never made splits with before.

All you need is the desire to make split placements with Network recruiters you’ve never made splits with before.  Desire precedes everything.  If you have that, you’ll make split placements . . . just like these recruiters.

If you’d like to thank another recruiter for their efforts in a split placement situation, send your information to marketing@topechelon.com.  Your comments might be included in an upcoming issue of The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog!
