Sometimes the stars align and interesting things happen with our weekly feature regarding split placements made in Top Echelon Network—like this week, for instance!

What interesting thing has happened?  There are three Million Dollar Producers included in this week’s edition of our most recent split placements.  Those three are as follows:

If there was a Top Echelon Network “Hall of Fame” for Preferred Members, these recruiters would most definitely be enshrined (on the first ballot, no less).  But you don’t have to be a Million Dollar Producer or a “Hall of Fame” candidate to be featured in The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog.  All you have do is make sweet split placements . . . we’ll do the rest.

Top Echelon Network Preferred Member recruiters started the year with a “split placement bang” last week, and now they’re keeping the “split placement ball’ rolling this week.  (How many more split placement analogies can we make?  How many weeks are there in a year?)

As always, communication holds the key to making split placements in Top Echelon Network.  Communication is one of the Four Pillars of the Network for good reason (with an emphasis on quality communication).  The more recruiters communicate with one another, the more information they share, the more they learn, the more split placements they make, and the more revenue they generate.

The recruiters below are making split placements, and in some cases, they’re making a lot of them.  This coming year could hold even more splits, and we’d love to include your photo and placement information in a future issue of the newsletter!

What’s the best way to start a new year?  Making placements, that’s what, and there are a number of Top Echelon Network Preferred Member recruiters who are starting 2012 with a “split placement bang.”

December was a rather slow month for hiring and also for recruiters, but now that January is here, companies are starting to address their hiring needs more quickly.  That should result in more placements—and specifically, more split placements—for Preferred Member recruiters.

Some of the recruiters below have only been in the Network for a short amount of time, while others have been in the Network for years.  What they all share is the desire to make split placements, and desire precedes everything.  In order to make split placements, you have to want to make split placements and you have to be willing to do what is necessary to make those placements happen.

The recruiters below have met those requirements, which is why they’re already cashing placement checks in January.  We hope that you join their ranks soon, so we can see your face in this regular feature of The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog!

Some recruiters are out of the office for the last week of the year . . . and some are cashing placement checks.

Take, for instance, the Preferred Member recruiters below, who recently made split placements through Top Echelon recruiter network. For some of these recruiters, this is the first time that they’ve made a split placement with this particular Trading Partner.  For other recruiters, they’ve made numerous splits with these recruiters.

Whatever the case may be, they’re happy to be Preferred Members and they’re happy to be closing out 2011 with a split placement.  But this more than just a happy ending; it’s also a new beginning.  That’s because 2012 is just around the corner.  That means more opportunities to network and more chances to make split placements.

Don’t let the New Year pass you by.  Make 2012 your best year ever in the Network!

There are Preferred Member recruiters in Top Echelon Network who go diligently about their way, networking extensively with other recruiters and making split placements.  Not a ton of splits, but two or three or four a year—which MORE than pays for their monthly Membership fees.

Unfortunately, these recruiters don’t get as much press or publicity as some of the Top Producers do . . . but we’re going to change that this week.  That’s because we’re highlighting Larry Radzely of Adel-Lawrence Associates, Inc.  Radzely has been a steady producer in the Network, having made a total of 56 placements during his time as a Preferred Member.

This week, Radzley has TWO split placements in The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog.  To illustrate his versatility as a Trading Partner, he was the job order recruiter for one of the placements and the candidate recruiter for the other placement.  We’d like to congratulate Radzely for those two placements, as well as everybody else who made a split placement this week!

One of the indicators of how things are going for recruiters overall is their prevailing fee percentage.  Typically, that fee is 20% to 30% of the candidate’s starting salary.

Well, in this week’s breakdown of split placements within Top Echelon Network, there’s a placement with a fee of 35%.  The Preferred Member recruiters involved placed a Project Electrical Engineer, indicating that there’s a need for such candidates.

What about the other percentages for this week’s split placements?  The majority of them are 25% fees, and the others are 20% fees.  During the depth of the recession, it wasn’t unusual to see fees as low as 10%, but as the economy improves and grade-A candidates become more difficult to find (especially in high-demand industries like Information Technology), fees are beginning to rise.

What’s been YOUR experience?  Do you believe that companies are more willing to pay fees in the 25% to 30% range?  Or are they still attempting to keep fees as low as possible, no matter how badly they need the talent for which they’re looking?  Feel free to comment at the end of this blog post.

In the meantime, below are the split placements in Top Echelon Network for this week:

Okay, I know . . . we’ve been singing the same song for so long that maybe it’s overkill.  But it’s not overkill for those Preferred Member recruiters who continue to make split placements with their Trading Partners (like the ones below, for instance).

It doesn’t matter HOW you communicate with them:

  • Call them.
  • Email them.
  • Text them.
  • Chat them.
  • Visit them in person.
  • Send them a singing telegram.

How you communicate isn’t nearly as important as making the decision to communicate.  Communicate about your hot job orders and candidates.  Those recruiters who make the most split placements in Top Echelon Network communicate with their Trading Partners nearly every day.

They’ve made the commitment to do it . . . and now they’re making the money to prove it.  You can, too.

Below are this week’s split placements in Top Echelon Network.

As you can see, all of them have the same “action causing placement.”  That action is “Regular communication with another Top Echelon Network Preferred Member recruiter.”

It goes without saying that communication—one of The Four Pillars of Top Echelon Network—holds the key to making split placements.  However, “regular communication” is a rather general phrase . . . so that’s why we’re striving to unravel its mystery with new features like “Split Placement Tales from the Trenches.”

In the meantime, initiating any form of quality communication will help build a productive Trading Partner relationship, one that can result in more trust and more split placements.

Welcome to this week’s edition of Top Echelon Network’s completed split placements.  Below is a partial list of the recent split placements made by Preferred Member recruiters.  I say “partial list” because some recruiters asked that their information not be disclosed in The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog, and we certainly don’t have a problem honoring that request.

As I mentioned in last week’s issue of The Pinnacle, we’re going to dig deeper into our split placements and find out exactly how they’re being made (who contacted who, what information was exchanged, etc.).  In fact, I’ve contacted the recruiters listed below and have started talking with them about those very details, which will be published in a future issue.

In the meantime, though, we’d like for you to share YOUR split placement story with the rest of the Network.  If you’ve made a split placement with another Preferred Member recruiter and you’d like to tell your story, email the details to marketing@TopEchelon.com, and we’ll make sure that story is told.  We want everybody to know WHO’S making split placements, WHERE they’re making them, WHY they’re making them, and HOW they’re making them . . . and that includes you.

Remember, you can opt out of having your placement highlighted, if you so choose.  All you have to do is send an email to marketing@TopEchelon.com indicating your desire to be left out.  Once you do so, you won’t be included in future installments of this feature.

If you’d like to see the amount of the fees associated with each of the placements listed above, login to the Members’ Area and click on the profiles of the recruiters involved.  The fee totals will be included along with those placements.

To find out how YOU can become a Preferred Member recruiter in Top Echelon Network, click here.

Matt DeutschBecause we’re always striving to improve and evolve, that’s exactly what we’re doing with this feature in The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog.  Many of you have made it clear that you like seeing the details of recent split placements in the newsletter, and that’s why we include them.

However, we believe that certain details of the placement—like the industry in which it was made and the position title involved—represent just the tip of the iceberg.  We want to dig deeper into HOW you’re making these split placements.  And WHY is that?  So that other Network recruiters can build upon your success, put into practice the techniques they see described here, and enjoy similar success themselves.

In short, we want more Preferred Member recruiters making more split placements, and one of the best ways to do that is to communicate exactly how other recruiters have made split placements in the past.  For example, “Regular communication with another Top Echelon Network Preferred Member” is the number-one reason listed by recruiters for why split placements occur.  The problem is this: that description is very general.  We’re going to drill down into that reason and dig up the specifics, such as who did what and when they did it.

Will we be able to do that with all of the split fee recruiting network placements that occur in Top Echelon Network?  Probably not, but if you’ve made a split placement in the Network recently, don’t be surprised if I give you a call and ask a bunch of questions.

Because inquiring, split-minded recruiters want to know.
