Below are this week’s split placements in Top Echelon Network.

As you can see, all of them have the same “action causing placement.”  That action is “Regular communication with another Top Echelon Network Preferred Member recruiter.”

It goes without saying that communication—one of The Four Pillars of Top Echelon Network—holds the key to making split placements.  However, “regular communication” is a rather general phrase . . . so that’s why we’re striving to unravel its mystery with new features like “Split Placement Tales from the Trenches.”

In the meantime, initiating any form of quality communication will help build a productive Trading Partner relationship, one that can result in more trust and more split placements.

As I’ve mentioned previously in The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog, we’re going to be exploring split placements made in the Network more extensively.  The result is a new series of blog posts—“Split Placement Tales from the Trenches.”

In this series, we’ll get the “story behind the story” when it comes to split placements . . . what happened, how it happened, when it happened, etc., straight from the recruiters who made the split.

So let’s get down to it.  This week’s split placement information is listed below, followed by the placement’s tale, relayed by one of the recruiters involved.

The interesting part of this “Tale” is that it represents one of two split placements made by these recruiters recently.  One (this one) was a contract split placement, and the other was a direct-hire split.

Because of these recruiters’ willingness to communicate with one another, they’re now making multiple split placements and generating more revenue for their recruiting firms.

Candidate recruiter: James Compton of Compton & Associates

Job title: OUTDOOR LIGHTING DESIGN ENGINEER

Action causing placement: Regular communication with another Top Echelon Network Preferred Member

“The Split Placement Tale from the Trenches,” courtesy of James Compton:

“I saw the jobs for Product Design Engineers posted in the Hot Jobs segment on TE.  I gave Larry a call, since I had some experience working in the Lighting field.

“Larry and I reviewed the specifics in detail and why a smaller, privately held company was offering a viable career alternative.  Larry was very open on the company, its history, product line, and why they were hiring for expansion of their product line.

“Over the last couple of months, we’ve had multiple interviews that have resulted in two placements so far.  Because of a unique tax situation in one of the states, the company would not hire our candidate.  We countered with the alternative of bringing the employee on as a contract employee.

“Thanks to Top Echelon Contracting, we had a solution that finally met the needs of the candidate and the company.  So Larry and I have two placements, and we are working on others.  It’s great to work with a Trading Partner who is open and informative.”

Drea Codispoti, CPC/CERSTop Echelon Network offers a number of different tools to its Preferred Member recruiters, all of which are designed to help them make more split placements.

One of these tools is the Virtual Core Group meeting.

Virtual Core Group meetings are regularly scheduled conference calls for recruiters who work in the same industry or niche.  During these calls, the recruiters share information about the activity that they’re seeing, bounce ideas off one another, and share hot job orders and candidates.

The real value in these calls is the presenting and sharing of hot job orders and hot candidates.  That’s because these are the things that lead most directly to recruiters making split placements together.

If you’re not part of a VCG, then you need to be part of one!  Preferred Member recruiters who participate in Virtual Core Group meetings give themselves more of a chance to make split placements than those who don’t.

Below is the VCG schedule for the remainder of October and also for the month of November.

Yours truly will conduct each of these conference calls.  If you’d like to attend any of these VCG meetings, call or email me and I’ll send you the appropriate conference call information.

If you don’t see your industry or niche represented in the chart above, I’m always open to starting a new group.  If you think you’d like to start one, I encourage you to contact me so we can discuss it.

Virtual Core Groups can help you make split placements.  Get in the game and get going.  I’ll talk with you soon.

'Comments' and Compliments

When you’re the number-one recruiter in Top Echelon Network, you’ve made a lot of split placements.  And that’s definitely the case with Trey Cameron of the Cameron Craig Group, who’s now made a total of 101 placements as a Preferred Member recruiter.

In fact, the split placement highlighted in this installment of “Comments and Compliments” is the 101st that’s he made in the Network.  (So far in 2011, Cameron has already made 18 Network placements . . . with nearly three months left in the year.)  Congratulations, Trey, from everybody at Top Echelon for breaking the 100-placement barrier, and here’s hoping you can make 100 more.  Actually, we’re hoping that everybody on the recruiter split boards can make 100 more, but that probably doesn’t surprise you.

If you’d like to compliment your Trading Partner for a recent split placement (or placements), send your comments to marketing@TopEchelon.com.
