We can never have too many “Steves” in Top Echelon’s recruiting network.

Especially when those Steves keep making split placements. And we have such Steves in this issue of The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog! They include:

  • Steve Kohn of Affinity Executive Search, Inc.
  • Steve Schroeder of Stratus Staffing
  • Steve Schanz of CPS Recruitment

Steve Kohn was part of three Network splits last week, and he made one of those splits with Steve Schanz. And of course, Steve Schroeder joined in the fun by making a split with Mark Marshall of CRJ Search.

However, there are more highlights from last week’s splits, including four split placements by Trey Cameron of Cameron Craig Group. In addition, seven of the 13 fees below were more than $20K and five were $30K or more.

And of course, we must recognize and congratulate Jamie Mathis of JM Recruiting. Jamie made her very first split placement in Top Echelon Network recently, placing a Corrosion Engineer with Scott Krepps of First Search, Inc.

As a friendly neighborhood reminder, here is the information that we publish with our weekly placements:

  • Names of the split recruiting partners involved (with their profile photos, when available)
  • Job title
  • Overall placement fee (before TE’s 6% brokerage fee, of course)
  • Fee percentage

Please note that the placements listed below reflect deals finalized in Top Echelon Network for the period from August 28 through September 3, 2023.

Remember, if you don’t want information related to your Network placements published in The Pinnacle, please send an email to marketing@topechelon.com to that effect.

Congratulations to everybody below for the split placements they made in Top Echelon Network!

If you’re a newer Network member and you’d like to enjoy more success in our recruiter network, then I encourage you to contact Top Echelon Director of Network Operations Drea Codispoti, CPC/CERS.

You can do so by calling 330.595.1742 or by sending an email to drea@topechelon.com.

At Top Echelon, we like to celebrate the successes of our Network recruiters! If that sounds familiar to you, it’s because I said the exact same thing the last time I presented a trio of Top Echelon recruiters who had reached the 100-placement plateau in the Network.

And now . . . I have three more!

In my previous Pinnacle Newsletter Blog post, the recruiters in question were Al Daum of Alan N. Daum & Associates, Inc.; Larry Ploscowe of EXEK Recruiters, Ltd.; and Larry Radzely of Adel-Lawrence Associates, Inc.

This time around, the recruiters who have reached this illustrious milestone are Veronica Snyder of Career Professionals, Inc.; Bob Millman of AutoPro Technical Recruiting; and David Wood, CPC of The David Wood Company.

So without further adieu, allow us to explore these accomplishments more fully:

Veronica Snyder

Veronica started in the recruiting profession nearly 25 years ago in 1999 when she joined Career Professionals, Inc. At the time, the agency was already a member of Top Echelon’s recruiting network.

Veronica Snyder of Career Professionals, Inc.

Veronica Snyder

Eventually, Veronica became President of Career Professionals upon the retirement of Steve Taylor. During her tenure, Veronica has specialized in the Manufacturing industry within a number of disciplines.

According to Veronica, her agency’s connection to Top Echelon remains strong after two and a half decades.

“Wow, 100 placements with Top Echelon! What a milestone,” she said. “I joined Career Professionals in July of 1999 and Top Echelon was already a key part of the business model. All these years later, Top Echelon still remains a core component of our success.

“Our split placements have involved more than 40 TE affiliates over the years. We have split fees from as little as $8,500 up to $56,000. I can’t thank the Top Echelon staff and our many TE affiliates enough for all of the help over the years.

“Career Professionals has thrived because of this partnership. Here’s to many many more placements to come!”

And of course, with 100 Network placements comes a lot of revenue. Veronica has billed more than $850K through the Network during her time as a TE member. Which means, of course, that the milestone of $1 million cash-in is within her sights!

Bob Millman

Like many recruiters who reach this plateau, Bob Millman has been with Top Echelon Network through the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Bob Millman of AutoPro Technical Recruiting

Bob Millman

The good: the dot-com bubble and a frothy job market at the end of the 1990s, the years leading up to two recessions, and the hiring frenzy that occurred after the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021 and 2022.

The bad: The 2001 recession and the lockdown during the pandemic.

The ugly: The Great Recession (shudders involuntarily)

But Bob, who also specializes in Manufacturing, has been with Top Echelon for almost the entire duration, his membership interrupted only briefly. During his two stints with TE, he has accounted for 104 placements and more than $900K cash-in.

“I am happy to have made my 100th placement with TE,” said Bob, who started in the recruiting profession in 1987. “I’m looking forward to more success, and I hope it doesn’t take me so long to make another 100!”

David Wood

Like Veronica and Bill, David Wood has reached the 100-placement plateau in Top Echelon Network.

David Wood of The David Wood Company

David Wood

Like Bill, David started in the recruiting profession in 1987.

However, unlike Veronica and Bill, he has reached another milestone. Which one, you ask? David has already billed more than $1 million through the Network!

Specifically, David, who specializes in the Power industry, has made a total of 110 placements during his tenure in Top Echelon.

In addition, he has actually billed way over $1 million. His cash-in total as of the writing of this blog post was $1,164,291.

So congratulations to Veronica Snyder, Bob Millman, and David Wood for reaching the 100-placement plateau in Top Echelon’s recruiter network! May their future (and ours) be filled with many more splits!

(Be sure to check out future issues of The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog for more information regarding the milestones and achievements of Top Echelon Network recruiters.)

This is a great time for a Pinnacle Network Blog post about networking events. That’s because we’re just about to leave for the Windy City of Chicago for Top Echelon Connect Fall 2023!

You might be wondering why you should attend the conference. If you’re wondering this, then you probably have never attended a TE event before. That’s because those who attend rarely (if ever) have to wonder why they should go. They know why they should go.

As for the rest of you? Well, you might need some convincing, but I’m here to help. Because I’m The Convincer. (Just ask my kids.)

Networking events = placements!

So I have put my Convincer Hat on and shall now present 10 reasons why YOU should absolutely attend TE networking events. (Including Top Echelon Connect Fall 2023).

#1—Expanded Network

Top Echelon networking events offer a prime opportunity to connect with a diverse range of recruiters from various industries and regions, helping you expand your networking efforts and learn from others.

#2—New Partnerships

Meeting other TE recruiters can lead to forming strategic partnerships, collaboration opportunities, and shared candidate and job openings, ultimately resulting in more placements and more revenue.

#3—Business Growth

By building relationships with other successful recruiters, you can tap into new markets, industries, and geographies, leading to increased business growth and revenue potential.

#4—Access to Expertise

Top Echelon recruiter networking events feature expert speakers and industry leaders who share insights, trends, and best practices, allowing you to stay updated and improve your recruitment strategies. This year’s keynote speaker at TE Connect Fall 2023 is the dynamic Barb Bruno, CPC/CTS of Good as Gold Training!

#5—Learning Opportunities

Workshops, panel discussions, and presentations at these events can provide valuable learning experiences, helping you refine your skills, adopt new techniques, and stay competitive in the recruitment landscape. We have all of these and more at TE Connect Fall 2023!

#6—Candidate and Client Pool

Connecting with fellow recruiters can lead to candidate and client referrals, expanding your pool of potential candidates and job openings, and increasing the likelihood of successful placements.

#7—Peer Support

Recruiters often face similar challenges and opportunities. Top Echelon networking events provide a platform to share experiences, seek advice, and receive support from peers who understand your industry firsthand.

#8—Market Insights

Interacting with other Top Echelon recruiters exposes you to different markets and industries, giving you valuable insights into trends, demands, and emerging opportunities that you might not have been aware of otherwise.

#9—Personal Branding

Active participation in Top Echelon networking events can enhance your personal brand as a recruiter within the Network, showcasing your expertise, professionalism, and commitment to the industry. And positive branding never hurt anybody!

#10—Motivation and Inspiration

Engaging with successful Top Echelon Network recruiters and hearing their stories can be motivating and inspiring, helping you set higher goals, overcome challenges, and strive for excellence in your recruitment career.

Yes, I want to register!

It’s a proven fact that attending our events helps recruiters enjoy more success as members of Top Echelon’s split network. As I’ve mentioned on previous occasions, this event will be no different.

So sign up and make some placements, and we look forward to seeing you in Chicago!

If you have any questions about the conference or about your Top Echelon Network membership, you can contact me by calling 330.595.1742 or by sending an email to drea@topechelon.com.

We’re continuously updating both the Top Echelon recruiting software and our split placement network software. So we’re pleased to announce the following software updates!

1. Professional Tier

Our new Professional pricing tier gives you access to the latest and greatest Top Echelon features and functionality, including AutomationsCareers Page FormsOrganizational Chart, as well as higher email and backup limits, and much more on the way!

A 90-day Professional Tier trial will begin on September 1 for all legacy customers.

2. Spark Hire Integration

Our integration enables users to create and select structured interview questions that job applicants can respond to asynchronously.

This process empowers hiring and staffing teams to interview candidates 5x more efficientlyreducing hiring/placement time while improving interview completion rates, quality of hire, and the candidate experience.

3. Do Not Call/Text Designations

We’ve added “Do Not Call” and “Do Not Text” checkboxes to the Contact Information card in People and Company records. Use either option, or both, to designate invalid phone numbers or candidates who do not wish to be contacted via phone call and/or text message.

Checking these options would disable the number and prevent you from using click-to-dial software or sending text messages out of Top Echelon Software.

4. Hide Filters on the Careers Page

You now have the option to hide the Remote Status and Job Type filters from your Careers Page if you’d prefer not to have them displayed.

5. Hide Company Name on Careers Page

You now have the option to hide your company’s name from appearing as text at the top of your Careers Page. If your company’s name is already present in your uploaded logo and/or banner, this option can remove this redundant text for a more streamlined look.

6. Reorder Custom Fields

The selectable options in drop-down and multiselect Custom Fields can now be rearranged in a custom order.

7. Accessibility Enhancement

We’ve made adjustments to the color of some text and icons in order to make them more easily visible against their backgrounds. This will help increase accessibility and readability sitewide.

8. Network Candidate Sharing Criteria

All Network Candidates are now required to have at least one valid contact method (email address or phone number) in order to be included in Network Candidate search results or shared directly to Network Jobs.

You can learn more about this update HERE.

(If you’re interested in Beta testing new Top Echelon Software features, email us at beta@topechelon.com.)
