Sure, it’s not the biggest Largest Split Fee of the Month ever in Top Echelon Network. But with this placement (and this fee), recruiter Al Daum is marching toward Top Echelon history.

Specifically, Al is marching toward the twin milestones of 100 Network placements and $1 million cash-in. Both of these are considerable and commendable achievements, the result of hard work, persistence, and loyalty.

But we’re not here to talk about those milestones—yet.

Marching in the month of March

No, we’re here to talk about the placement that Al made with fellow Network member Debi Apple of Apple & Associates, Inc. Yes, the fee was “only” $24,000, but that was still enough for both of them to garner a piece of the Largest Split Fee of the Month Award for February.

While the fee certainly won’t crack the top 10 in terms of the biggest fees in our recruiter network for 2019, consider these other facts regarding Al:

  • His agency, Alan N. Daum & Associates, Inc., will be celebrating its 20th anniversary in the Network in May.
  • Al has made 91 Network placements since joining Top Echelon.
  • Al has also earned over $913K as a result of those placements.
  • In addition, Al has been consistent with his production. He made seven split placements in 2016, nine splits in 2017, and six more last year.
  • Al is currently 20th in Top Echelon in terms of his cash-in production in the Network during the past 12 months rolling.

So while we congratulate Al (and Debi) for this split, we also look forward to the future. It’s a future where we’ll have even more about which to congratulate one of the most successful recruiters in Network history.

Top Echelon determines the monthly and quarterly winners of its Network split fee recruiting awards in four distinct categories:

1.) Recruiter of the Month
2.) Largest Split Fee of the Month
3.) Recruiter of the Quarter
4.) Largest Split Fee of the Quarter

We only announce the winners of these awards in The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog. We do so usually (but not always) in the issue following the conclusion of each month and/or quarter.

You might have noticed that Trey Cameron of the Cameron Craig Group was the Recruiter of the Year in Top Echelon Network. Again.

Trey managed to generate over $1 million through the Network in 2018. Again. He made over 100 split placements. Again.

However, all of that is in the past. Quit living in the past, why don’t you? Join us in the present, where we’ll immediately start talking about the future.

An astronomical Top Echelon record

And the reason that we’re talking about the future is that Trey is now within “shouting distance” of a Top Echelon record that may never be broken. That Top Echelon record: 1,000 Network placements.

Sure, even if Trey never made another TE split, his current total (876) is probably a Top Echelon record that would stand the test of time. But . . . he’s probably got a few more splits in him. Like, for instance, the 11 he made during the month of February. (Those 11, coincidentally, is the reason he is Recruiter of the Month.)

Trey has an outside shot at hitting 1,000 career placements by the end of this year. He would need perhaps his best year ever as a Network member. That would mean over 150 placements in a single calendar year.

Impossible? No. Improbable? Perhaps. But Trey’s trading partners who are splitting the fees with him are certainly going to enjoy the ride along the way. And so are we. But in the meantime, congratulations to the top five recruiters in Top Echelon Network for the month of February!

Top Echelon determines the monthly and quarterly winners of its split recruiting awards based upon two criteria, which are listed below in order of importance:

1.) The number of split placements made
2.) The amount of “cash-in” dollars earned as a result of those split placements

This explains why, when multiple recruiters are tied with the same number of TE placements during a given month or quarter, the recruiter with the largest “cash-in” total is ultimately deemed the winner.

How would you like to add two or three placements to your billings every year, no matter how much you billed? Of course you would! You’re a recruiter, after all.

Well, here’s the good news: you can add the equivalent of two or three placements to your billings every year. And you can do so in the form of contract staffing.

As you can see, many of the Network members listed below are earning thousands of dollars every month in recurring revenue. They’re earning this revenue because they made the decision to add contract staffing services to their agency’s business model.

Extrapolate that over a calendar year, and a recruiter can earn $50K to $75K extra just by offering contracting to their clients. And you don’t have to stop making direct hire placements. Contracting does NOT interfere with direct hire.

So let’s say you make $225K in direct hire placements. With contract staffing, that total could be $300K. And contracting is nowhere near as difficult and confusing as you might think it is, especially since Top Echelon Contracting takes care of all the back office details.

So keep that in mind. And ask yourself this question again: how would you like to add two or three placements to your billings every year, no matter how much you billed?

(Editor’s note: This report lists the Top 10 Top Echelon Network members by contract placement earnings through Top Echelon Contracting. The report is provided to Network members for informational purposes.)

As mentioned above, all of the recruiters on the list above are direct hire recruiters. You do NOT have to stop making direct hire placements to offer contract staffing solutions to your existing base of clients. Basically, all you have to do is two things:

#1—Ask your clients if they have contract job orders.

#2—Use Top Echelon’s recruitment back office solutions. We’ll take care of all the financial, legal, and administrative details associated with employing the contractors.

If you have any questions about this whole process, we have answers. We invite you to contact us at 888.627.3678.

Last week, Top Echelon celebrated its 31st birthday. There is one recruiter who has been with us since the beginning and continues to be with us: Charter Member Steve Brody of Executive Resource Systems!

So as you might imagine, Steve’s agency is celebrating a Network anniversary this month. And also as you might imagine, Executive Resource Systems is celebrating its 31st anniversary.

Charter Member money

It should be noted that Steve has been very productive during his Network career. Not only that, but he continues to make split placements in Top Echelon just about every year. He has currently made 117 Network placements totaling over $774K cash-in.

However, our anniversaries for the month of March consist of more than just Charter Member Steve Brody. That’s because we have three other anniversaries of over 20 years. They include:

  • David Kersey & Associates (27 years)
  • Lordan Associates (27 years)
  • Harper Hewes Executive Search & Recruiting (25 years)

These agencies have also enjoyed a considerable amount of success in Top Echelon’s recruiting network. They’ve accounted for hundreds of placements and hundreds of thousands of dollars.

So congratulations to Charter Member Steve Brody and to everybody who is celebrating an anniversary in Top Echelon Network this month!

(Editor’s note: Top Echelon recognizes firms celebrating five, 10, 15, and 20-year Network anniversaries, plus any firm celebrating an anniversary in excess of 20 years.)
