A few weeks ago, Top Echelon Network recruiters Christina Boudreaux of Connectly Recruiting and Ann Boland of The Boland Group accounted for the largest split fee of the week. Christina and Ann placed a Senior Vice President of Business Development to earn a fee of $52,500 at 25%.

Well, we now have another $52,500 recruiting fee! Accounting for this one are Brad McMillan of RPM ReSearch and Steve Kohn of Affinity Executive Search, Inc. Brad and Steve placed a Director of Site Operations at 25% to generate that fee.

However, as you can see below, that wasn’t the only big fee in the Network this week. There are a few others, as well. We’re glad that as 2023 draws to a close, Top Echelon recruiters are still making split placements together and still earning large fees as a result.

As a friendly neighborhood reminder, here is the information that we publish with our weekly placements:

  • Names of the split recruiting partners involved (with their profile photos, when available)
  • Job title
  • Overall placement fee (before TE’s 6% brokerage fee, of course)
  • Fee percentage

Please note that the placements listed below reflect deals finalized in Top Echelon Network for the period from December 11, through December 17, 2023.

Remember, if you don’t want information related to your Network placements published in The Pinnacle, please send an email to marketing@topechelon.com to that effect.

Congratulations to everybody below for the split placements they made in Top Echelon Network!

At Top Echelon, we’re ALL about best practices. That’s especially the case with our split fee recruiting network.

Over the course of the past several weeks, I’ve been presenting some quick tips for more success in Top Echelon Network. And I’m glad to announce that I have more of them!

As I’ve stated before, success in the Network results from a combination of proficiency with both human interaction and technology, including Top Echelon’s recruiting database of candidates and job orders.

(For specific questions about Top Echelon software and/or technology, the Help Center is available 24/7 to answer your questions and provide assistance.)

With all of this in mind, below are even MORE quick tips for experiencing success in Top Echelon’s recruiter network:

— — —

Tip #1: Never Source Off Another Member’s Candidate

Never “source off” or try to gain referrals from another Top Echelon Network member’s candidate.

This is in violation of Network Policy #2.

— — —

Tip #2: Keep Your Trading Partners Apprised

Keep your split trading partners apprised of ANY activity that happens regarding their candidates. That way, they don’t have to waste their time trying to find out the status of the job order in question.

You MUST notify them in advance of any “FACE-TO-FACE” interviews that you have arranged. You SHOULD notify them in advance of any PHONE interviews that you have arranged. In addition, you MUST provide post-interview feedback to the other member, regardless of whether it’s a PHONE interview or a “FACE-TO-FACE” interview.

— — —

Tip #3: When to Break Communication

Top Echelon Network urges recruiters to break the chain of communication with a candidate for a period of no less than 18 months after:

  • The candidate is placed in a direct hire position.
  • The placement fee is received and split between the two recruiters.
  • The guarantee period is satisfied.

Assuming the chain of communication was broken, if that candidate decides on their own after 18 months to initiate contact with either of the recruiters, that is their prerogative.

This week’s networking tip may just be the shortest one we have. But its brevity is eclipsed only by its importance.

Enjoying success as a member of Top Echelon’s recruiter network is all about having the proper attitude and frame of mind. This tip deals directly with that.

And, as usual, the tip is also tied to one of The Four Pillars of Top Echelon Network. Specifically, that Pillar is Communication. The way in which Network recruiters view each other directly impacts the way in which they communicate with one another.

If you view other recruiters in Top Echelon Network in the proper fashion and you communicate with them in the correct way, then networking success is going to follow. And split placement success is going to follow that.

So let me stop yammering and get on with it. “Networking Tip #7” is as follows:

Don’t view other recruiters in the Network as competitors. View other recruiters as trading partners. You can both help each other make money!

Oftentimes, the majority of a recruiter’s placements are completed within a 250-mile radius. If you’re serious about making split placements, then you’ll learn to appreciate the help that nearby recruiters can give you with local candidates and local job orders.

Some recruiters may not want Top Echelon Network to grant membership to other recruiters in their hometown or in their area. However, a change in attitude can generate tremendous financial rewards.

After all, no recruiter can be in all places at one time. Therefore, by teaming up, they’ll be stronger than they were on their own.

Most rookie networkers do not feel this way. However, experienced networkers have reaped monetary rewards by adopting this new attitude.

If you have any questions, please contact me by calling 330.595.1742 or by sending an email to drea@topechelon.com.
