There were a LOT of big recruiting fees in TE Network during the third quarter!

Of course, there was the biggest fee: $62,500.

Earning that fee were David Wood of The David Wood Company and Steve Copeland of fulltimeGiGS/Albert Energy, LLC. David and Steve placed a Chief Financial Officer to earn that fee at 25%.

However, there were three recruiters who were represented two times apiece on the list of the top 10 recruiting fees of the third quarter in TE Network. They are:

  1. Brad Dodge of iLocatum Recruiting
  2. Genie Matthews of Genie Matthews and Associates
  3. James Sullivan of Ethical Search Professionals, Ltd.

So while they weren’t part of the biggest split fee of the third quarter, they can console themselves with multiple large split recruiting fees!

As a reminder, Top Echelon determines the monthly and quarterly winners of its Network split fee recruiting awards in four distinct categories:

1.) Recruiter of the Month
2.) Largest Split Fee of the Month
3.) Recruiter of the Quarter
4.) Largest Split Fee of the Quarter

We only announce the winners of these awards in The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog. We do so usually (but not always) in the issue following the conclusion of each month and/or quarter.

Congratulations to everybody who made the largest split fees in TE Network during the quarter!

To say that Brad Dodge of iLocatum Recruiting ran away with the Recruiter of the Quarter Award for the third quarter in TE Network might be an understatement.

That’s because Brad made 28 split placements during the quarter, about one every three days or so. Those 28 splits brought him a cash-in total of more than $237K. That pushes Brad’s cash-in total for his TE Network career to $1.4 million.

However, although the other recruiters listed below didn’t fare quite as well as Brad, they still received a hefty return on their investment in the Network. When you consider how much the monthly membership fee is, and then you compare it to how much they earned during the third quarter, it would appear that everybody listed below is a winner!

Below is the information that we include with the Recruiters of the Quarter feature in Top Echelon Network:

  1. The top 10 recruiters for the quarter
  2. The “cash-in” total for each recruiter during the quarter. (We base the order of the recruiters on their amount of “cash-in” dollars, as opposed to the number of split placements they made during the quarter.)
  3. The number of splits that the recruiters made during the quarter
  4. The date that each recruiter’s agency joined TE Network
  5. The number of splits each recruiter has made during their TE Network career
  6. Each recruiter’s cash-in total for their TE Network career

Congratulations to the recruiters listed below . . . and congratulations to every TE Network member who made a split placement (or multiple splits) during the quarter!

We are more than three-quarters of the way through 2024. However, as you well know, your work is far from over.

You have to finish the year strong and also prepare for what will hopefully be an even better year in 2025.

The good news is that there is simplicity to your split recruiting membership in TE Network. And with that in mind, I have five things that every member—even those who are active in the Network every day—should be doing during Q4 and beyond.

#1—Share every job you have.

Hedge your bets by filling the role more promptly as a split. This demonstrates to your clients that you are THE go-to source for their needs in any market or environment.

Need more convincing? Then here are four reasons “Why You Should Share ALL of Your Jobs with TE.”

#2—Upload your candidates and opt-in to Network Candidates.

You know better than most people how tight the market is for talent right now (even though the market has softened somewhat recently). Qualified job candidates are in demand, and employers are willing to use a recruiting agency to help meet their hiring needs.

TE Network members, like all recruiters, need candidates! And they need them yesterday, so upload all of your candidates to the Network system and opt-in to the Network Candidates sourcing tool. (That is, if you haven’t done so already.)

#3—Check your quality.

What do the candidates look like that you are directly submitting to your TE partners’ jobs? Be sure that you have thoroughly read the job description and spoken to the recruiter.

(And don’t forget that Quality is one of The Four Pillars of TE Network. We haven’t.)

#4—Call your trading partners back.

If somebody reaches out to work with you . . . respond to them! Communication is king in our recruiter network, so please act accordingly.

It will only take a few minutes of your time and it will go a long way toward branding you in a positive way within the Network.

#5—Develop at least FIVE (5) new partnerships.

Expanding your network can only increase your success. Strive to create five new partnerships or working relationships in TE Network during the fourth quarter.

If you have ANY questions about this blog post or about your TE Network membership, I encourage you to contact me immediately (if not sooner.)

In my previous blog post in this series, I discussed the essential element of Trust, which just so happens to be one of The Four Pillars of TE Network.

One of the other Pillars is Active Participation. That Pillar is tied directly to the element that I’ll be addressing this week: effort.

Once again, I’ll be examining effort as it pertains to the 5 Stages of a Networker.

The equation, of course, is rather simple. The more effort you put into networking, the more successful you’ll be and the more split placements you’ll make. And THAT is what everybody wants.

Below is an analysis of the essential networking element of effort in recruiting within TE Network:

Stage 1 Networker

They are often unwilling (or unable) to put forth enough effort to be successful.

Stage 2 Networker

They’ll put some candidates and job orders on the Network and will let the results of those items determine if they’ll spend more effort.

Stage 3 Networker

They have good intentions and will try to submit candidates and job orders. However, something usually seems to get in the way, preventing their deals from closing.

Stage 4 Networker

They probably work harder than any other stage of networker. They’ve entered more candidates, submitted more job orders, and will respond to as many of their peers as time allows.

They are only a couple of steps away from being a really big producer!

Stage 5 Networker

They’ve conquered the networking curve, and consequently, they do not have to expel as much energy as they had to in the past. Their reputation helps perpetuate their split placements, but their core group relationships are the real key to their success!

In my next blog post in this series, I’ll examine the essential element of maneuverability.

If you have any questions in the meantime—about the element of effort, about the 5 Stages of a Networker, or about your split recruiting membership—please contact me.

You can do so by calling 330.595.1742 or by sending an email to drea@topechelon.com.
