Top Echelon member agency C.H. Thomas Search, LLC is celebrating its second anniversary in the Network this month. And the agency is celebrating in a BIG way.

It’s doing so by being part of the Largest Split Fee of the Month in Top Echelon’s recruiting network for the month of July.

Tom Christensen is the owner and president of C.H. Thomas Search, which joined the Network on August 15, 2017. As you can see below, Tom was part of the Largest Split Fee of the Month with split recruiting partner Greg Downs, CPC of Downs Associates. Their split resulted in a fee of $41,250.

No stranger to large recruiting fees, Tom has now made three split placements in Top Echelon Network. The fees associated with his other two Network placements were $31,250 and $37,500.

In two years, Tom has paid $3,120 in membership dues to Top Echelon. His Network cash-in total during that same time frame is $51,700. So in two years, Tom is receiving a tremendous return on his investment in Network membership.

We only announce the winners of these awards in The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog. We do so usually (but not always) in the issue following the conclusion of each month and/or quarter.

Last week, I announced that there will soon be an update to the Top Echelon Network software. Specifically, there’s going to be an update to the MEGA Database sourcing tool.

The result of that update will be Network Candidates, a fresh approach to the MEGA Database from the legacy version of the split placement software.

Once again, please note that this is NOT just a different version of the MEGA. It is better and provides you, the user, with more decision-making data. What, exactly, will it have?

• For starters, you’ll search in one place for your candidates within the Network software. Specifically, you’ll click the “NETWORK” tab in the search results to see what’s available in terms of the over four millions candidates to which you have access.
• Multiple state location searching
• Filters: Most Common Locations, Education Levels, Resume Add Date, and the top five recruiters representing data in the list
• More information to make a determination regarding which candidates to request:
  • Current Position Title
  • Location
  • Parsed skills from the resume
  • Display of past work history position titles and the number of years/months in those positions
  • Summary on the candidate

When will all of this be available in the new Network Candidates tool? Our goal is to release this tool within the next month. But as I promised last week, below is a short video that provides more information about this update:

Beta testers wanted!

I’d like to take this opportunity to invite you, the members of Top Echelon’s recruiter network, to be beta testers for the upcoming changes to the Network software. This includes changes to:

• Candidates (as addressed above)
• Jobs
• Recruiter Profiles

We are going to cover all of these areas in the near future, and we want your feedback. Simply send an email to drea@topechelon.com with the words “Beta Tester” in the subject line. Remember, of course, that we can’t put every single Network member on beta testing, so there are limitations. That’s why if you really want to be a beta tester, I suggest that you act today and send an email!

Who’s the Recruiter of the Month? You know the answer to that question is Trey Cameron of the Cameron Craig Group.

Who’s the Recruiter of the Week? You NOW know the answer to that question is Darrin Skinner of Howe & Associates.

Darrin is a veteran of Top Echelon’s recruiter network. He started recruiting in 1995 and joined the Network in 2004, meaning that he celebrated his 15th anniversary in the Network earlier this year. Darrin has been very productive as a member, as evidenced by the following:

• 47 Network placements
• $519,862 cash-in

However, Darrin went through a drought recently, not making a placement in Top Echelon Network last year. He’s bounced back in a big way, though, making eight split placements through the first five months of this year.

According to Darrin, there have been multiple reasons for his success in the Network in 2019.

“I think the biggest factor for success this year is I’ve had a project with one client where they are doing a national expansion, and I have gotten a good response on those positions on TE over the past six months,” he said. “That project hasn’t been all of the placements, but it has certainly helped.

“I’ve also spent a little less time at my recruiting desk this year, compared to the last couple of years. So I’ve leaned on TE more to fill some searches where I might have spent more time on them individually in previous years.”

As you can see on the list below, Darrin was also the #5 recruiter in the Network for the month of July. So congratulations to Darrin, Trey, and everybody else who made placements in Top Echelon Network during the month!

Top Echelon determines the monthly and quarterly winners of its split recruiting awards based upon two criteria, which are listed below in order of importance:

1.) The number of split placements made
2.) The amount of “cash-in” dollars earned as a result of those split placements

This explains why, when multiple recruiters are tied with the same number of TE placements during a given month or quarter, the recruiter with the largest “cash-in” total is ultimately deemed the winner.

There are plenty of reasons for optimism and excitement in Top Echelon Network. Here is one such reason. Another such reason is the fact that 18 recruiting agencies joined the Network during the month of July!

And this is after Top Echelon Network averaged 15.5 new agencies during the preceding four months. Last month, I stated that Network membership is on FIRE this summer. Well, after the latest new member numbers, it looks as though that fire is continuing to rage.

We run the names of recruiting agencies applying for membership in the Members’ Area of the Top Echelon website. We list the names of new members in the Members’ Area, as well.

However, we also list our new members in The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog. This list typically includes the name of the agency, the date that it joined, the geographic location of the agency, the agency’s specialties, and the members of the agency. These agencies work in a variety of industries and niches.

So I’d like to take this moment to congratulate the agencies and the recruiters listed below. I also welcome them to the membership and look forward to helping them make split placements!
