I’m writing this to assure you, our customers, that we at Top Echelon Software are taking the COVID-19 pandemic as seriously as you are. As a result, we’ve made recent decisions that prioritize the health and well-being of our customers, our employees, and our families:

  • We have cancelled Connect 2020, our all-user conference scheduled for April 30 and May 1 in Las Vegas.
  • We have cancelled all non-essential business travel for Top Echelon employees.
  • We have encouraged Top Echelon employees to work from home until the worst of this virus has passed and we can be assured of their health and safety.

While enacting all of these measures and precautions, I want you to know that we have taken the necessary steps to ensure the uninterrupted continuity of our systems, services, and support for all of Top Echelon Software’s products during this time, including the Top Echelon split network and the Big Biller recruiting software.

We understand that this is a time of unprecedented uncertainty, and as such, we are committed to doing whatever is necessary to continue providing a high level of service and support to our customers. As part of that commitment, we will also keep you updated and informed when and if new developments arise. Once again, our priority is the health and safety of everybody.

Thank you for your understanding and patience during this time, and do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

There is a lot of uncertainty—in the economy, in the job market, and probably even on your recruiting desk and within your agency.

Despite this uncertainty (or perhaps because of it), your clients need you more than ever. As a result, you need to provide them with all of the support and all of the candidates that you can.

There is no better way to do that than to share ALL of your open jobs to the Network and get high-quality candidates in front of your clients as soon as possible.

You’ve certainly heard the expression, “Time kills all deals.” That has never been more true than it is right now. The lead time for hiring needs to be closed more tightly, and your Top Echelon split network membership can help you do just that.

Here are action steps that you can take immediately:

  1. Search the Network Candidates sourcing tool for viable candidates.
Make requests for candidates through the tool.
  2. Call your trading partners and communicate with them, on a daily basis if you have to.
  3. Share every job you have with the Network in as many different ways as you can.

By doing this, you increase your marketing and efforts to find candidates. That, in turn, increases the likelihood of closing deals and making placements more promptly.

But wait, there’s more! Below are four BIG reasons to share ALL of your jobs with the Network:

#1—Many of the top producers in the Network make it a habit to post all of their job orders.

If they’re doing it and making a lot of money, then you can, too. That much evidence is compelling.

#2—You increase the chances that another recruiter is going to see your job order and help you fill it.

You’re 100% guaranteed to NOT receive Network help filling a position if you don’t share your jobs. This includes using the Network Candidates sourcing tool.

#3—The more you share, the more you network, the more you bill.

Everything affects everything else. The simple act of sharing a job order with other Top Echelon recruiters could set off a chain reaction of events. That chain reaction could eventually result in a single placement or multiple placements. But it starts with YOU.

#4—You can still run your business exactly the way you’ve always run it.

In fact, what will probably happen is that you’ll invest just a little more time in split placements. And your return on that investment will increase substantially.

If you’re not satisfied, you can always go back to what you were doing before.

What do you have to lose?

In light of the Coronavirus pandemic, there are a lot more people working from home than a few months ago. But for agency recruiters and search consultants, working from home is the rule rather than the exception.

To prove this, we recently posed a poll question in the Members’ Area of the Top Echelon website. Coincidentally, this was the same question that we posed exactly five years ago. So that means we’ll get to see whether more Network members are working from home now . . . or not.

Let’s start with our most recent results:

Do you work out of your home or out of a brick-and-mortar office?

The choice of answers that we provided is listed below, along with the percentage of split network recruiters that selected each one:

  • I work out of my home. — 77.6%
  • I pay rent (or have a mortgage) for commercial office space. — 22.4%

And now, let’s review the poll results from five years ago and see how they compare to these more recent results:

Do you work out of your home or out of a brick-and-mortar office?

The choice of answers that we provided is listed below, along with the percentage of recruiters that selected each one:

  • I work out of my home. — 61.7%
  • I pay rent (or have a mortgage) for commercial office space. — 38.3%

Summary:

In both polls, the majority of Network members work out of their home. In fact, far more than half do so, with 61.7% in 2015 and 77.6% this year. That’s nearly the difference between six out of 10 members working from home and eight out of 10 doing so.

(It should be noted that this poll question was posted before the Coronavirus was officially classified as a pandemic by the World Health Organization.)

Analysis and Conclusion:

Until recently (hello, Stock Market crash), the economy has been in recovery mode. This has especially been the case during the past five years. As a result, you would think that more Network members would be utilizing office space for their agency. However, that is not the case.

The conclusion: Network recruiters like to keep their overhead low and their profits high. And there’s nothing wrong with that, pandemic or no pandemic.

We’re pleased to present the recruiting agencies that joined Top Echelon Network as new members during the month of February! As you can see below, a total of 24 agencies joined our recruiting network last month.

We run the names of recruiting agencies applying for membership in the Members’ Area of the Top Echelon website. We list the names of new Network agencies, as well.

However, we also list our new members in The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog. This list typically includes the name of the agency, the join date of the agency, the geographic location of the agency, and the agency’s specialties. These agencies work in a variety of industries and niches.

So I’d like to take this moment to congratulate the agencies listed below. I also welcome them to the membership and look forward to helping them make splits in the Network!

If you have any questions about reaching out to new members or about your split recruiting membership in general, please contact me. My contact information is listed at the end of this blog post.
