First Quarter Statistics in Top Echelon Network

The first quarter of 2020 in Top Echelon Network may have been one of the most unique first quarters that we’ve ever experienced at Top Echelon. And we’ve been in business for over 32 years.

That’s because it’s not very often that a pandemic occurs. However, since the full effects of the COVID-19 pandemic didn’t really manifest in the United States until the middle of March, the first quarter of the year in the Network was more or less normal. What do I mean by normal?

  • There was still a healthy number of job orders and candidates in the Top Echelon system.
  • Network members still made a healthy number of split placements.

In this particular blog post, though, we’re addressing job orders and placements for the first quarter. As you can see below, we have the breakdown for both of these categories in terms of the disciplines within the Network.

You might be wondering where candidates are in terms of percentages. We recently made the switch from the Split Candidate Database, which was part of the legacy version of the TE software, to the Network Candidates sourcing tool. That’s why candidates are not represented on the chart below.

Here are some interesting takeaways from our first quarter statistics:

  • While Industry & Manufacturing was once again the top discipline for placements, Healthcare tied it for first place. Both accounted for 25.4% of placements during the first quarter.
  • Job orders were quite balanced across the board, with 10 disciplines registering in double digits in terms of percentages. (Keep in mind that percentages total more than 100% in the job order category since that category can be tagged with more than one discipline.)

Obviously, we’ll know more about the pandemic’s impact on the economy, the marketplace, and Top Echelon’s recruiting network when we release our second quarter statistics later this year. In the meantime, we’re more than confident in our Network members’ ability to persevere and emerge stronger on the other side of this unprecedented crisis.

In short, we’re pleased to report that there are still job orders and candidates in the Network and members are still making split placements together. We don’t see that changing anytime soon, so please let us know how we can help you to leverage the resources of Top Echelon to thrive during this difficult time.
