With the Thanksgiving holiday right around the corner, activity in Top Echelon has slowed a bit recently. That should be the case this coming week, as well, as Network members celebrate the holiday with family and friends.

In the meantime, we’d like to recognize those TE recruiters who did make placements last week. We’d especially like to mention Laurie Burden of The Recruiting Pro and Bethany Brevard York of Professional Outlook, Inc.

Laurie and Bethany earned the largest recruiting fee of the week in the Network. The duo scored a $33,300 fee for placing a Pilot Operations Manager at 18%.

As a friendly neighborhood reminder, here is the information that we publish with our weekly placements:

  • Names of the split recruiting partners involved (with their profile photos, when available)
  • Job title
  • Overall placement fee (before TE’s 6% brokerage fee, of course)
  • Fee percentage

Please note that the placements listed below reflect deals finalized in Top Echelon Network for the two-week period from November 14 through November 20, 2022.

Remember, if you don’t want information related to your Network placements published in The Pinnacle, please send an email to marketing@topechelon.com to that effect.

Congratulations to everybody below for the split placements they made in Top Echelon Network!

In my previous blog post in the “Planning Your Network Success” series, I addressed Active Participation, one of The Four Pillars of Top Echelon Network, in terms of the information that members submit.

Of course, I also discussed submissions within the framework of The 5 Stages of a Networker.

This week, I’m going to tackle another one of The Four PillarsQuality—and once again, it will be within the context of The 5 Stages of a Networker. That’s because we don’t just want recruiters to actively participate in the Network and submit their candidates and job orders. We also want them to submit high-quality candidates and job orders.

Why? Because that’s the quickest way to make more split placements!

We want everybody in this Network to make more split placements . . . and the road to more splits begins with Active Participation AND Quality in recruiting.

This week’s breakdown of Quality and The 5 Stages of a Networker is below:

Stage 1 Networker

They always hold back their excellent candidates and excellent job orders so they can earn a full fee, and they only share what they cannot use.

Stage 2 Networker

Although their intentions are good, they still hold back their excellent candidates and job orders. They’ll share their mediocre candidates and job orders, but they try to keep the best for themselves.

Stage 3 Networker

They take pride in the quality of the candidates and job orders they share. They’re not wasting time passing non-quality items. They’re sharing most of their relatively good candidates and job orders, but they’ll still hold back their exceptional items for themselves.

Stage 4 Networker

They deal in quality. Their “I’s” are dotted and “T’s” are crossed! They expect the same from their core group of trading partners, but they are somewhat forgiving of everybody else who isn’t in their core group.

Stage 5 Networker

Same as a Stage 4 Networker. They deal in quality!

In my next blog post in this series, I’ll examine trading partners in regards to The 5 Stages of a Networker.

If you have any questions in the meantime—about this blog post, about The 5 Stages of a Networker, or about your split recruiting membership in Top Echelon Network—please contact me.

Top Echelon offers a free monthly webinar as part of its Expert Recruiter Coaching Series.

These webinars touch upon a variety of recruiter-related topics. These topics deal with both job candidates and clients. As always, our goal with these webinars is to help professional recruiters and executive search consultants just like YOU make more placements.

We record these webinars for those recruiters who can’t attend the live presentation, and we’re now pleased to offer the video from our most recent webinar by Greg Doersching, President of Next Level Coaching.

The title of that webinar (and corresponding training video) is “4 Critical Strategies for Making 2023 Your Best Year Ever!”

Below is the official description for this training video:

— — —

The world of recruiting is ever-changing. Practices that have worked for the past 10 years have suddenly lost their effectiveness on both the candidate and client side of the desk. Well, the one thing that hasn’t changed is a recruiter’s desire to make more placements!

That’s why you should attend the next webinar in Top Echelon’s Expert Recruiter Coaching Series, because that’s what this session by Greg Doersching of Next Level Coaching is all about. Specifically, it’s about the four most essential tactics you need to employ in your everyday recruiting routine. During this information-packed webinar, Greg will walk and talk attendees through the following four questions:

  • What is the most effective way to land new clients in 2023?
  • What is the easiest way to stop being a contingency-heavy desk?
  • How can you have more candidates coming to you instead of you hunting for them?
  • How can you prevent candidates from “ghosting” during interviews?

There will also be an open Q&A session after the webinar, during which Greg will answer any question you may have. This is the session you simply don’t want to miss heading into the New Year, so watch this video for “4 Critical Strategies for Making 2023 Your Best Year Ever!”
