This blog post is to remind you that texting capabilities will be available in the Big Biller recruiting software starting this week. In fact, they’ll be available on Friday, November 1!

First and foremost, as mentioned in last week’s issue of The Pinnacle Newsletter, there will be a special Training Thursday webinar regarding Big Biller’s texting capabilities. That webinar, titled “Text or Treat: Announcing Texting in Big Biller!” will be held on, wait for it . . . Halloween! And by Halloween, I mean on Thursday, October 31. (And by that, I mean tomorrow.)

Click HERE to register for this special Training Thursday webinar.

And of course, we also have a series of Help Center article that explores Big Biller’s texting functionality. This series of articles covers the following:

  • Setting up a dedicated texting number
  • Sending and receiving text messages
  • Managing your texting subscription
  • Allowing a user to send text messages as other users
  • Canceling a text messaging phone number/subscription

Click HERE to see the Help Center article that contains all of this information:

And once again, we also have an overview video explaining texting, which you can play below:

And in case you missed it in last week’s issue of the newsletter, we have information in a Q&A format, which is listed below.

How much does the service cost?
Each phone number that you create costs $12 per month and comes with 250 outgoing text messages. Each message sent beyond the 250 limit will cost an additional $0.05, and incoming messages do not count towards the limit. The limit resets each month, and any unused messages do not carry over.

Will I be able to pick my texting number?
No, a number will be provided for you when you activate the service.

Can I use my existing work number?
No, a number will be provided for you when you activate the service.

Will the number provided to me use my area code?
Yes, the area code will be based off your location on file.

Will mass texting be available?
No, not at this time.

Do incoming texts count towards my message limit?
No, incoming messages will not count towards your limit.

Can I receive responses on my phone?
Not directly to your phone number, but email notifications can be set up from within Big Biller so that you can receive them on the go.

What’s the advantage of texting from Big Biller, rather than just sending from my phone?
Texting through Big Biller allows you to send messages without revealing your personal phone number. Incoming and Outgoing Messages are also automatically recorded as Activities when sent as well.

Can my users share a single texting number?
Yes, users can be given permission to send texts from another user’s number.

Do my remaining messages carry over to the next month?
No, the message limit resets with each new billing cycle.

Is there a limit to the number of texting numbers that I can activate?
No, you can create as many phone numbers as you need.

If you haven’t done so already, don’t forget to register for our special Halloween webinar tomorrow: “Text or Treat: Announcing Texting in Big Biller!”

At our annual National Convention and Fall Conference, we emphasize attendance for new members in Top Echelon’s split fee recruiting network. Attendance at these recruiter networking events is what helps them to enjoy success more quickly as a member of the Network.

Once again, there were new members at the recent Top Echelon Fall Conference, held last week in Chicago. And once again, the conference was a huge success, not only for the newer members, but also for those recruiters who have been in the Network for a long time.

New relationships were created and new deals will most certainly result from this conference. In the weeks and months ahead, split placements will happen as a direct result of recruiters meeting one another for the first time in Chicago, and in some cases, it will be the first of many placements to come.

As you can see by the photo at the top of this blog post, recruiters enjoyed themselves at the Fall Conference. They came to work and make money, of course, but they also came to have fun, be a little goofy, and enjoy each other’s company. And where there’s one photo from the Fall Conference, there are many!

As many of you know, Top Echelon Software has a Company Page on LinkedIn. And of course, you can follow Top Echelon as a user of LinkedIn. As luck would have it, we posted a bunch of photos from the conference, and Network members also posted photos.

You can see these photos by searching under the #TopEchelon hashtag on LinkedIn, or you can simply click HERE to see them.

We also invite you to visit the Top Echelon Software page on LinkedIn, and once again, follow us. You can do so by clicking HERE.

Now that the Fall Conference is over, you know what’s next? The 2020 National Convention, of course! And we’ll have important details about the convention very soon, so be sure to watch for them.

Thanks to everybody who attended the Fall Conference, and we look forward to seeing you all again next year!

Earlier this year, Top Echelon celebrated its 31th anniversary. However, did you know that our Virtual Core Groups also celebrated its 13th anniversary? (I thought not.)

Well, I’m here to let you know. Of course, I’m also the one who runs the Virtual Core Group (VCG) meetings. I’m also the one who wants YOU to attend these meetings!

With VCG meetings, Network recruiters share information during teleconference calls. This information includes hot job orders, hot candidates, and the activity they’re seeing in the marketplace and within their niche.

Our lineup of Virtual Core Groups

We currently have Virtual Core Groups operating within the following industries:

  • Information Technology
  • Construction/AEC
  • Manufacturing & Engineering
  • Accounting & Finance
  • Biotech & Pharmaceutical
  • Food & Beverage
  • Automation & Controls

It’s been proven time and time again that when Network recruiters share this kind of information and they share it on a consistent basis, they make more split placements together. We have over a decade’s worth of history backing us up on this one.

You can’t argue with that kind of track record, even if you wanted to. And if you wanted to, I wouldn’t let you. (See how this works?)

To my way of thinking, the best way to celebrate 13 years of Virtual Core Groups is to have YOU participate in them. If you’d like to join one of the groups listed above or if you’d like to start a new group, please contact me.

You can do so by calling 330.455.1433, x156 or by sending an email to
