It’s rare that a Top Echelon recruiter wins two Network awards in the same issue of The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog. But Nancy Hastings of The Hastings Group has done it!

The two Network awards that Nancy has won are as follows:

  • Largest Split Fee of the Month
  • Recruiter of the Week

Network awards: two for one

The Largest Split Fee of the Month award was an easy one to determine. That’s because it all comes down to hard numbers. In this case, the numbers involved a $50,000 placement fee that Nancy split with Adam Krueger of Sun Recruiting, Inc.

However, Nancy almost won the award for last month, too. That’s because she split a $55,000 fee with Michael Stuck of Gables Search Group. Nancy and Michael didn’t win the award, but they came very close. Not only that, but a $55,000 fee is a nice “consolation prize.”

The Hastings Group joined Top Echelon’s recruiting network on August 5, 2015. Nancy didn’t make any split placements the rest of that year. However, she made five splits in 2016, and she’s made three so far this year. (And as we’ve discussed, two of those three have resulted in hefty fees.)

Nancy has spent nearly $3,000 in split network membership fees. Her cash-in total during her time as a member is almost $100,000. That is a great rate of return on the investment she’s made in her membership.

For all of these reasons, Nancy Hastings is the Recruiter of the Week in Top Echelon Network. Congratulations, Nancy, and may you make many more $50,000 placements!

Top Echelon determines the monthly and quarterly winners of its Network split fee recruiting awards in four distinct categories, which are listed below:

1.) Recruiter of the Month
2.) Largest Split Fee of the Month
3.) Recruiter of the Quarter
4.) Largest Split Fee of the Quarter

We only announce the winners of these awards in The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog. We do so usually (but not always) in the issue following the conclusion of each month and/or quarter.

The third quarter of the year is over! Only one more quarter to go. There’s only one more quarter for you to be productive on your recruiting desk.

So that begs the question: just HOW productive are you quarter to quarter? And on the heels of that: which quarter is your best quarter?

So many questions, so little time. Fortunately, we have a way to get the answers we want. That way is our Members’ Area poll. And we recently doubled up on this topic, as you can see below:

What is typically your MOST productive quarter of the year?

The choice of answers that we provided is listed below, along with the percentage of split network recruiters that selected each one:

  • First quarter — 24.1%
  • Second quarter — 34.5%
  • Third quarter — 20.7%
  • Fourth quarter — 20.7%

And then we asked THIS question:

What is typically your LEAST productive quarter of the year?

The choice of answers that we provided is listed below, along with the percentage of split fee recruiting network members that selected each one:

  • First quarter — 17.5%
  • Second quarter — 17.5%
  • Third quarter — 30.2%
  • Fourth quarter — 34.9%

Why being productive is so subjective

So which quarter is typically the MOST productive for members of Top Echelon’s recruiting network? The second quarter! That’s because over a third of poll participants (34.5%) chose that as their answer.

On the flip side of that, which quarter is typically the LEAST productive for TE members? The fourth quarter! That’s because, once again, over a third of recruiters (34.9%) chose that as their answer.

Here’s another interesting tidbit. Apparently, Network recruiters are more productive during the first half of the year than during the second. That makes sense in one regard. The third quarter involves a big chunk of the summer. That’s when people go on vacation and take time off. The fourth quarter involves many of the major holidays in this country, including Thanksgiving and Christmas. Once again, that’s when people take time off work.

Recruiters also take time during the fourth quarter to wrap up their desks and prepare for the next year. Then they “hit the ground” running after the first of the year. That might be one of the reasons that the first quarter is so productive for them.

While there is a certain ebb-and-flow to the recruiting profession, productivity is rooted in subjectivity. Some recruiters like to work harder during certain parts of the year than others. That also makes sense. Recruiting affords a tremendous amount of work freedom and flexibility to those who have chosen it as a profession.

There HAS to be some kind of trade-off for all of the stress and uncertainty, right?

One of the great things about finding an exceptional split partner is that they’re with you every step of the way. They’re with you every step of the way through the placement process, that is.

And once again, we have examples of this. Those examples take the form of individual case studies associated with our “‘Comments’ and Compliments” feature.

There is a wealth of information in the three split placements highlighted below. Specifically, here are the parts of the recruiting process with which these members’ split partners helped:

  • Sourcing of candidates
  • Pre-screening of candidates
  • Reference checking of candidates
  • Presenting of candidates
  • Thorough understanding of the industry
  • Collaboration and decision making

Placement process: fraught with dangers

These members are exceedingly grateful for the help that their split partners provided. The placement process is a road fraught with dangers.

This is one of the benefits of being part of our elite split fee recruiting network. You have access to our recruiters who work in the same industry and niche that you do. These are recruiters who have seen just about everything that can happen within the profession.

Their knowledge, expertise, and experience is extremely valuable. Start putting all of those things to work for YOU!

Are you looking to better leverage your Top Echelon recruiting network membership? That’s the first step. The second step is contacting Director of Network Operations Drea Codispoti, CPC/CERS.
