The Top Echelon placement train continues to roll along, as Network members racked up 17 split placements last week.

Not only that, but one of the placements also brought with it a $42K fee!

Earning that fee were Network recruiters Russ Hovendick of Client Staffing Solutions, Inc. and Michael Stuck of Gables Search Group. Russ and Michael placed a Director of Engineering at 22% to generate that fee.

Individually, Stuck led the way by being part of four splits, while Joe Cresci of Food Management Search was part of three deals.

Trey Cameron of the Cameron Craig GroupSteve Kohn of Affinity Executive Search, Inc.; Amylyn Kyler of Kyler Professional Search; and Phil Hurd of Oculus Search Partners, LLC made two splits apiece with other members.

As a friendly neighborhood reminder, here is the information that we publish with our weekly placements:

  • Names of the split recruiting partners involved (with their profile photos, when available)
  • Job title
  • Overall placement fee (before TE’s 6% brokerage fee, of course)
  • Fee percentage

Please note that the placements listed below reflect deals finalized in Top Echelon Network for the period from September 26 through October 2, 2022.

Remember, if you don’t want information related to your Network placements published in The Pinnacle, please send an email to marketing@topechelon.com to that effect.

Congratulations to everybody below for the split placements they made in Top Echelon Network!

J.D. Fye

You may have attended this free webinar on Tuesday, October 4. On the other hand, you may not have been in attendance.

Regardless, we have the recorded version of the webinar, which I am presenting to you now. (The recording is also located in the Top Echelon Help Center.)

If you are not a user of our recruiting software, then check out the video, anyway, to see how the software could benefit your recruiting desk and agency.

  • Profile images
  • New export to spreadsheet function
  • Exporting table views for reports
  • Changing font size for the ATS
  • More accessible placement forms
  • New panes for the panel
  • Quicknotes
  • And much more!

Making split placements in Top Echelon is ALL about teamwork. When two recruiters work as a team during the recruiting and hiring process, it’s a thing of beauty . . . especially when that beauty is accompanied by a big, fat placement check.

That’s why it’s crucial to find a true trading partner in this recruiter network. Once you find such a partner, the process becomes easier, more efficient, and more successful.

What constitutes a TRUE trading partner in Top Echelon? Well, using the case studies over the years in our “‘Comments’ and Compliments” feature, we have a list of descriptive phrases.

Below are five marks of a true trading partner in Top Echelon Network:

#1—Professionalism

This might go without saying, but it certainly merits mentioning. Be professional in all of your dealings with your trading partners.

When you say you’re going to call, call. When you say you’re going to email, email. Brand yourself as somebody who is reliable. Nobody likes a flake, unless they’re eating a bowl of them for breakfast.

#2—Accessibility

When you’re working with a trading partner, you can’t just disappear. You must be accessible to your partners and able to answer questions if they need answers.

You should be accessible the same way that you want candidates and clients to be accessible during the hiring process. If you want to make the placement, then make the time to make the placement.

#3—Collaboration

As explained above, membership in Top Echelon’s recruiting network is ALL about teamwork. What we’re talking about is the desire to be collaborative and the ability to NOT micromanage during the placement process.

Don’t try to control everything. If there was ever a collaborative process, a split placement between two recruiters is it.

#4—Due diligence

You want to brand yourself as somebody who is not only reliable, but also trustworthy. In a split fee recruiting situation, each recruiter must trust the other to “hold up their end of the bargain.”

Each recruiter has work to do, and they can’t be worried about whether or not the other person is doing it. However, when that trust is developed and validated, placements happen.

#5—Follow-up

Communication is one of The Four Pillars of Top Echelon Network for a reason. When you follow up, you’re being professional and you’re doing your due diligence.

See how all of this ties together? It’s almost like it works this way for a reason.

Every week, Top Echelon recruiters partner with one another to make splits. And they display the above characteristics in their ongoing pursuit of more placements and more revenue.

Are YOU a true trading partner in Top Echelon Network?

We’re continuously updating both the Top Echelon recruiting software and our split placement network software. So we’re pleased to announce the following software updates!

1. Calendar Invites

You now have the ability to send calendar invites to meeting attendees directly from the corresponding Scheduled Activity in Top Echelon.

RSVPs for your invitations will be tracked within the Activity and produce a corresponding bell and/or email Notification, based upon your preferences.

2. Placement Info Displaying on People Datasheets

The Placement pane has been added to People Datasheets to allow you to view and edit corresponding Placement details (start date, placement status, salary, etc.) without having to navigate through Pipelines to do so.

3. Ability to Follow Network Discussions

A new Follow button has been added to all Network Discussion topics to stay up-to-date on the latest information within a given thread.

A new Notification (in-software and/or via email) will inform you when a new comment has been added to a Hot Candidate, Hot Job, or General Discussion that you’re following.

4. Link a Network Job to a Hot Job Discussion

You now have the ability to link specific Network Jobs when posting in the Hot Job Discussion Forum so that viewers will have quick access to work that Job and view all of the corresponding details.

Remember, you can always stay informed about software updates by visiting the official Top Echelon Product Updates page. You can see current and past updates, as well as which updates and upgrades are next.

If you have questions about these updates or about any other aspect of your Top Echelon Network and/or recruiting software account, you can:

→ Send an email to support@topechelon.com.

→ Visit our Help Center.

In this latest installment in our “Planning Your Network Success” series of blog posts, I’m going to discuss maneuverability in recruiting. By that, I mean how Network members are able to maneuver around inside the Top Echelon Network software.

The software, of course, is a networking software. It’s been designed to help recruiters share information more easily and more effectively, so they can make more split placements together.

How well a Network member grasps the software can determine how successful they are. That’s why it would be to your advantage to put the technology that Top Echelon Network offers to good use.

Below are how the 5 Stages of a Networker apply to maneuverability in recruiting:

Stage 1 Networker

They are overwhelmed by the vast amount of information in the Top Echelon Network system. The number of systems, the terminology, and the complexity of the Network system seem overwhelming.

Stage 2 Networker

They’ve found that executing simple tasks in the Network Dashboard is relatively easy. They also understand that Top Echelon offers other features—like the Network Candidates sourcing tool—but they haven’t explored those yet.

Stage 3 Networker

They’re finding that operating the Network Dashboard is now a breeze. In addition, if they use Top Echelon’s recruiting software, they’re becoming very familiar with the Top Echelon Network system. They’re starting to see how the software can make their office more efficient in several ways.

Stage 4 Networker

They’re logged into the Network Dashboard from early morning through the end of the day. They view it as being an extension of their computer.

They can locate any type of candidate in minutes, and they recognize the power of having access to millions of resumes with the click of a mouse. They’re truly proficient with the software at this point, especially the Network Candidates sourcing tool.

Stage 5 Networker

Their entire office is connected to the Network Dashboard all day long, and they’re regularly communicating with other Network members, either by phone or through email and/or instant messaging.

They’ve come to rely heavily on the Network software and Top Echelon’s recruiting software, so much so that their computer has become a virtual filing cabinet of sorts for the Network. In short, they are taking FULL advantage of the technology offered by our elite recruiter network.

In my next blog post in this series, I’ll examine the essential element of expectations.

If you have any questions in the meantime—about this blog post, about the 5 Stages of a Networker, or about your split recruiting membership in Top Echelon Network—please contact me.
