In the past, they would call August the “dog days of summer,” namely due to the prevalence of heat and humidity. (Although I still don’t know who “they” are.)

Now, with record-breaking temperatures seeming to scorch the planet on a daily basis, I’m not sure what you would call August. Or what “they” would call it, for that matter . . .

Unless you’re Top Echelon Network recruiters Brad Dodge of iLocatum and Sarah Katz of First Search, Inc., that is.

That’s because they would call August the “highly profitable days of summer”!

As you can see below, Brad and Sarah led the way in terms of Network split placements last week. Brad was part of five splits, while Sarah was involved with four such placements.

Not only that, but Steve Dooling of VHCS made his first split placement as a member of Top Echelon Network. So congratulations are in order for Steve, as well!

As a friendly neighborhood reminder, here is the information that we publish with our weekly placements:

  • Names of the split recruiting partners involved (with their profile photos, when available)
  • Job title
  • Overall placement fee (before TE’s 6% brokerage fee, of course)
  • Fee percentage

Please note that the placements listed below reflect deals finalized in Top Echelon Network for the period from July 31 through August 6, 2023.

Remember, if you don’t want information related to your Network placements published in The Pinnacle, please send an email to marketing@topechelon.com to that effect.

Congratulations to everybody below for the split placements they made in Top Echelon Network!

If you’re a newer Network member and you’d like to enjoy more success in our recruiter network, then I encourage you to contact Top Echelon Director of Network Operations Drea Codispoti, CPC/CERS.

You can do so by calling 330.595.1742 or by sending an email to drea@topechelon.com.

We have made changes to Top Echelon’s Network Candidates Database in order to help with the quality of the data that you send and receive.

Any candidate record that does not have at least a valid email address or phone number associated with it will NOT be indexed by the Network Candidates Database. This means the candidates whom you request from your Top Echelon Network trading partners will all have either a valid email address or phone number associated with their record, thus allowing you to contact them.

It also means that any candidates you send to your trading partners will not be valid if they are missing both of these pieces of contact information. This will help ensure that everyone is sharing quality information with their trading partners. If you do try to send a candidate who does not have this contact information, the system will prompt you that this information is missing and is required in order to share the candidate.

We began a re-indexing of the Network Candidates Database beginning on Monday, August 7, and that re-indexing was completed on Tuesday, August 8. This re-indexing removed any records that did not have the aforementioned contact information.

NOTE: None of your candidates/people records have been deleted, altered, or edited in any way. They are safe and will remain as they always have.

That being said, those records without contact information will no longer be indexed and searchable by Top Echelon Network members through the Network Candidates Database sourcing tool.

If you have any questions, please reach out to the Top Echelon Success Team at support@topechelon.com.

We’ve been heavily promoting Top Echelon Connect Fall 2023 during the past couple of weeks. And now that Early Bird Registration is well underway, we’re going to continue promoting the event during the next several weeks.

However, I know that you’re busy on your recruiting desks, so I will be brief. In my quest for brevity, below are five quick facts about Top Echelon Connect Fall 2023:

#1—Yes, this is the Fall Conference.

Don’t be fooled by the name change. This is still the Fall Conference, which is what we’ve called the event for years. However, in the interest of putting the emphasis on networking and connecting with each other, we’re calling the event Top Echelon Connect Fall 2023.

We want you to connect, build relationships, and make split placements with one another!

#2—The dates are September 19 and September 20.

Like the National Convention, we’ve used multiple formats for the Fall Conference in terms of which days of the week we hold it. These formats have their pros and cons, but attendance levels have been pretty much the same for all of them.

The late September/October timeframe appears to be the “sweet spot” for scheduling this event.

#3—The location is the Sheraton O’Hare Suites.

This Chicago hotel has been the location for the vast majority of years that we’ve held the event, and there are many good reasons. It’s close to the airport, it’s designed well for our purposes, and the hotel staff and management have always been accommodating.

The Sheraton O’Hare Suites has never given us a reason to go anywhere else, and we’re glad to be returning for yet another year.

#4—Early Bird Registration is currently available.

As usual, we’re allowing Network members to register as early as we can because we want to give them as much control as possible in regards to their schedule and preparation for the event.

With all of this in mind, the Early Bird Registration period is in full swing. So I encourage you to take advantage of the lower price now and join us in Chicago later.

Click HERE to register on our special convention website. (AND to see the lineup of speakers and the preliminary agenda!)

#5—The cost of Early Bird Registration is $535 per person.

As always, we’ve done our best to keep the cost of attending events like this one as low as we possibly can. We consider this an investment in your business as a recruiting agency. After all, we don’t make money unless you make money, so we’re interested in the health and well-being of your agency.

We’re not worried about turning a profit on these events, either. We just want you to attend so you can experience the value that they offer.

As usual, we’re anticipating healthy attendance at Top Echelon Connect Fall 2023 . . . but it won’t be the same without YOU.

Come to Chicago, meet your trading partners, meet new recruiters, and make more placements!

If you’re a recruiter, then you want to close more deals and make more placements. That’s what you do.

That’s why you joined our recruiting network. And working well with a Top Echelon split recruiting partner is one of the best ways to make that happen.

What exactly do I mean? Thank you so much for asking . . .

When it comes to the deals that happen in the Network on a weekly basis, certain trends emerge. These trends revolve around the behavior and characteristics of the recruiters involved.

With that in mind, here are three best practices for enjoying split recruiting partner success in Top Echelon Network:

#1—Talent assessment

It starts and ends with talent these days, doesn’t it?

A great trading partner excels at sourcing candidates and assessing talent, not only for their own clients, but also for their partners’ clients, as well. They know which candidates will be a potential fit and which ones will not.

#2—Responsiveness

You don’t like waiting for somebody to get back to you. So you’re probably not surprised to learn that other people don’t like waiting for you to get back to them.

Engagement is the key. Stay engaged with your trading partners throughout the entire hiring process.

#3—Patience and/or perseverance

Sure, quick placements are awesome. But it doesn’t always happen that way. Fortune often favors the patient.

You’re probably familiar with the saying, “It ain’t over ‘til it’s over.” That saying most definitely applies to the employment marketplace, the job market, and the world of recruiting.
