Who says you can’t make a lot of money as a recruiter with split placements?

Not Top Echelon Network members Ron Sunshine of Ron Sunshine Associates, LLC and Norma Wallis of LME Resources, LLC, that’s for sure. That’s because the two of them recently split the largest fee in the history of the Network! (It was also the Largest Split Fee of the Month for May, but really, that’s a secondary consideration.)

The amount of that fee: $95,000!

That blew past the previous record for the largest split placement fee in the Network: $72,500 by Mary Anne Buckley of Interstate Recruiters Corp and Richard Connors of Vista Technology. This is a record that might never be broken in Top Echelon.

Here’s what Ron had to say about the placement:

“I was contacted by the VP of human resources of one of my best clients. He told me that they were going to be looking for a VP of sales and that the president wanted to only work with a Detroit firm that has a track record of retained search with professionals at that level.

“I contacted Drea [Codispoti] and asked him who he would recommend and he gave me some names. I then contacted Norma, whose name was on that list. She said she was interested in doing the search and being the point person for my client.

“The rest is history.”

History, indeed. And to top it all off, this was Norma’s first placement as a member of Top Echelon Network. What a first placement it was!

Congratulations to Ron and Norma. For their accomplishment, they’ll receive a special award at the 2017 National Convention. That is, unless two other recruiters make a bigger split placement in the Network before the end of the year . . .

Top Echelon determines the monthly and quarterly winners of its Network recruiting awards in four distinct categories, which are listed below:

1.) Recruiter of the Month
2.) Largest Split Fee of the Month
3.) Recruiter of the Quarter
4.) Largest Split Fee of the Quarter

The winners of these awards are only announced in The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog, usually (but not always) in the issue following the conclusion of each month and/or quarter.

So I’ve announced the dates of the 2016 Top Echelon Network Fall Conference.

And I’ve announced that Scott Love of The Attorney Search Group will be the main speaker for the conference.

So I’m back with another announcement . . . mainly that Early Bird Registration for the conference opens on Friday, July 8!

(Oh, and before we proceed, you’re probably wondering if that’s Top Echelon President Mark Demaree pictured above at a past Top Echelon Fall Conference event. Why yes, it is. In fact, Mark is singing karaoke with industry trainer Jeff Skrentny.)

Registration rate: $225 per person

Early Bird Registration for the Fall Conference will be available from July 8 until August 12. The cost of Early Bird will be $225 per person.

This year’s Fall Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, October 18, and Wednesday, October 19. The site of the conference is the Sheraton O’Hare Suites (formerly the Sheraton Gateway Suites).

Our room rate with the Sheraton O’Hare Suites is $189 per night. That rate is good for Top Echelon Network members attending the conference for the dates of Monday, October 17, through Wednesday, October 19.

To make hotel reservations at the Sheraton O’Hare Suites, call 1.847.699.6300. Be sure to reference the “Top Echelon conference” and its dates when you make the reservation. Please note there are a limited number of rooms available at that rate for our group, and they will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Sheraton O’Hare Suites is located near the Chicago O’Hare Airport. A courtesy shuttle will be available for your transportation. Also keep in mind that you do not have to stay at the Sheraton O’Hare Suites. You also have the option of staying at any hotel of your choice and traveling to the Sheraton.

Regular Registration for the Fall Conference will run from August 13 until September 30. The price of Regular Registration will be $275 per person.

So you’ll save money by signing up during the Early Bird period. So mark it on your calendar and make plans to join us in the Windy City.

Let’s make this a great Fall Conference and a great second half of 2016!

THREE OF A KIND: There’s no limit on the number of people you can have in a split placement selfie! Diva Milani of Tuscany Enterprises and Jim and Pam Petipren of The PRA Group, Inc. share in the fun and camaraderie after making a big split placement. Their celebration took them from the 2015 Fall Conference to the 2016 National Convention.

Recent split placement selfies in Top Echelon Network have served as an inspiration to others . . . and that’s why we have a great new story in this issue of The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog!

Diva Milani of Tuscany Enterprises sent the email below to the Top Echelon offices, detailing a placement (and multiple selfies) that span not one but TWO Top Echelon events . . .

“Inspired by the split placement selfie celebration I just saw on the network, I wanted to submit three photos for the same purpose.

“This was my first split placement on the network and it was with Jim and Pam Petipren, who I met at the Top Echelon Fall Conference in Chicago last October.  The hired candidate started mid-April . . . a UI/UX Design Leader role with a prominent Silicon Valley employer . . . TESLA!

“We celebrated our success by having dinner together and seeing a great show while in Las Vegas at the Top Echelon National Convention and the Petitprens also sent me a spectacular flower arrangement in appreciation!”

Remember, if you’d like to share your split placement selfie with the rest of the Top Echelon Network membership, send your photo and any accompanying information to marketing@topechelon.com!

We publish posts regarding best practices for Top Echelon Network all the time in The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog. Many of these posts deal with sharing quality candidates. (Like, for instance, this one right here.)

However, we feel compelled to back up these posts with real-life examples of recruiters making split placements. In the case of this blog post, we’re presenting examples of recruiters making split placements as a result of sharing quality candidates.

Quality candidates = awesomeness

How do we know they were quality candidates? Two reasons:

  1. They resulted in placements.
  2. The recruiters involved said they were quality candidates. (See below.)

If you have quality candidates, then share them with the rest of the Network! If you can place the candidates yourself and earn full fees, that’s great. But if you can place them in other members’ job orders while you work your own orders, how awesome would that be?

You’re only one person, and you can’t place everybody in your database. Put your split partners to work. Share your quality candidates and let them help YOU make more placements!

Want to make more placements in Top Echelon Network? Then contact Director of Network Operations Drea Codispoti, CPC/CERS. You can reach him at 330.455.1433, x156 or via email at drea@topechelon.com.
