Numbers Indicate Network is Humming with Activity

The past 18 months have been unprecedented, to say the least. The COVID-19 pandemic has affected our personal and professional lives and continues to do so on a daily basis.

However, business for professional recruiters and search consultants in 2021 has been markedly different than 2020. All of you certainly remember once the virus first arrived on the scene, the entire economy was essentially locked down. Job orders dried up and nobody was hiring.

Since then, though, the introduction of vaccines has allowed the economy to stay open. And during the subsequent recovery, the market is extraordinarily tight for talent. Qualified job candidates, especially the top candidates, are in demand. As a result, companies and organizations are more than willing to engage the services of a professional recruiter to find the candidates they want.

This has been and is good news for recruiters in general and members of Top Echelon Network specifically. And I have some numbers to back this up:

  • There are currently close to 4,000 job orders in the Top Echelon Network system. This represents a 400% increase over the number of job orders that were in the system shortly after the pandemic started.
  • Top Echelon members have increased the numbers of Network placements they’ve made by 50% through the first nine months of year, as compared to the same timeframe a year ago.
  • Top Echelon members have billed 46% more through the Network through the first nine months of the year, as compared to the same timeframe a year ago.

Network membership has been steadily growing since the start of the pandemic, increasing by 12% since last year.

The Network is humming with activity these days, which is great to see. I’ve spoken with some members who have so many job orders that they literally can not take another one. They can barely keep up with the number they have already. This is good problem to have.

A problem that is not good to have is not having enough qualified candidates. This is another powerful way to leverage the resources of the Network, because other Top Echelon members have candidates in their database that you do not have. This is why you must make sure that you’re opted in to the Network Candidates sourcing tool and that you’re using it on a consistent basis.

I covered this (and more) in my blog post from last week, “5 Things You Should Do in TE During Q4.”
