Changes Regarding the Cost and Functionality of the Platinum Sites

Mark DemareeTechnology is always changing and evolving, and as a result, so are the technological tools that we offer to recruiters at Top Echelon.  Some of those changes involve our websites, which we’ve renamed “Hiring Hook” sites.  These websites include our Platinum sites, which we’re renaming the “Network Jobs Feed.”

There are two main changes that will very soon be occuring in regards to Preferred Members of the Network who own the current Platinum websites.  Those two changes are as follows:

  • The Platinum websites will no longer have the “split candidate feed” functionality associated with them, which means Platinum owners won’t have other Preferred Members’ candidates listed on their site.
  • The Platinum websites will no longer cost $100 per month.

Let’s start with the first change.

First: removing the ‘split candidate feed’
The primary reason that we’re removing the “split candidate feed” feature from the Platinum websites is liability.  When candidates discover that they’ve been posted on an unfamiliar website (without their permission, in their mind), they sometimes become disgruntled and demand that they’re removed from the site.  These candidates may have given another Preferred Member permission to include them on that recruiter’s site, but discovering that they’re posted on other sites–sites with which they’re not familiar–can pose a problem.

In the past, we’ve even had to take the step of blinding the “Comments” section associated with the “split candidate feed” because recruiters often unwittingly included comments that were ultimately posted on the Internet.  Needless to say, these comments represented a liability.  This has been an ongoing concern for us at Top Echelon regarding the “split candidate feed,” and that concern has prompted us to make this change.

Does this happen very often?  No, but it happens enough that it represents a liability to both the Preferred Member who owns the website, as well as to Top Echelon Network.  As a result, the decision was made to remove that functionality from the Platinum sites.  Keep in mind, though, that you can still post your own candidates to your Platinum site.  That functionality still exists.  And, you’ll still have the Network’s shared jobs listed on your site.  That will stay the same.

Second: price reduction
Now for the good news.  Since we’re removing the “split candidate feed” functionality from Preferred Members’ Platinum websites, we will no longer be charging $100 per month for them.  The new cost will be $65 per month instead.  This price change brings the Platinum sites in line with the new technology featured in our Hiring Hook line of websites.

The base price for a Hiring Hook site is $40 per month.  However, the “Network Jobs Feed” (basically the ability to post other Preferred Members’ jobs on your site) is an additional $25 per month, for a total of $65.

These new changes will go into effect August 1.  That means the “split candidate feed” will be gone starting that day, and it also means the new price of $65 will be reflected on your August invoice.
