Top Echelon Network recruiters easily hit double digits in terms of split placements last week, and not only that, but a placement fee of $31,750 led the way!

Responsible for that placement were Dennis Cupp of Austin Allen Company, LLC and James Sullivan of Ethical Search Professionals, Ltd. The pair placed a Technical Manager at 25% to land that fee.

In addition, congratulations to Sara Alexandroff of Sterling St. James, LLC. Sara was part of three splits, as was Trey Cameron of Cameron Craig Group.

As a friendly neighborhood reminder, here is the information that we publish with our weekly placements:

  • Names of the split recruiting partners involved (with their profile photos, when available)
  • Job title
  • Overall placement fee (before TE’s 6% brokerage fee, of course)
  • Fee percentage

Please note that the placements listed below reflect deals finalized in Top Echelon Network for the week of Monday, September 12, through Sunday, September 18.

Remember, if you don’t want information related to your Network placements published in The Pinnacle, please send an email to marketing@topechelon.com to that effect.

Congratulations to everybody below for the split placements they made in Top Echelon Network!

If you’re a newer Network member and you’d like to enjoy more success in our recruiter network, then I encourage you to contact Top Echelon Director of Network Operations Drea Codispoti, CPC/CERS.

You can do so by calling 330.595.1742 or by sending an email to drea@topechelon.com.

Early Bird Registration for Top Echelon Connect Fall 2022 in Chicago ends on Friday!

That’s the bad news. The good news is that there’s still time to sign up at the Early Bird rate.

If you do so, you can register for just $485 per person. However, if you don’t, do you know what happens? Yes, the price goes up.

Regardless of that fact, we strive to keep the cost of our recruiter networking events as low as possible. That’s because we want to make it easier for you to attend. These events are nothing without you, our valued members.

Sweet home Chicago

This year’s event is scheduled for Thursday, October 6, and Friday, October 7. The Sheraton O’Hare Suites (formerly the Sheraton Gateway Suites) is once again the site of the conference.

We’ve gone to Chicago for this event since before I started at Top Echelon. We call it home for the conference for a number of reasons. One is the fact that it’s centrally located in the country. Another is that the Sheraton O’Hare has treated us well down through the years.

Our room rate with the Sheraton O’Hare Suites is $144 per night. That rate is good for Top Echelon split network members attending the conference for the dates of Wednesday, October 5, through Friday, October 7.

To make hotel reservations at the Sheraton O’Hare Suites, call 1.847.699.6300. Be sure to reference the “Top Echelon conference” and its dates when you make the reservation. There are a limited number of rooms available at that rate for our group. As a result, they’ll be given out on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Sheraton O’Hare is located near the Chicago O’Hare Airport. A courtesy shuttle will be available for your transportation. You do NOT have to stay at the Sheraton O’Hare Suites, though. You also have the option of staying at any hotel of your choice and traveling to the Sheraton. Life is all about choices.

Relationships: build them and grow them

As we’ve announced, Henna Pryor of Pryority Group, an executive coach and performance growth strategist, is the main speaker for Top Echelon Connect Fall 2022. Henna will present multiple sessions at the conference, including the following:

  • “New Messaging Mistakes You Must Fix Today!”
  • “Messaging Workshop: Fixing the Mistakes and Making Gold”
  • “Changing Recruiting and Sales Psychology in 2022 and Beyond—and How It’ll Make You Money, Part I”
  • “Changing Recruiting and Sales Psychology in 2022 and Beyond—and How It’ll Make You Money, Part 2”

But the main reason to attend is split placements!

We want you to meet other recruiters who could become split recruiting partners. Success in our recruiting network is all about relationships. We want to help you build them, keep them, and grow them.

Click here for more information about Top Echelon Connect Fall 2022, including the full agenda and instructions for how to register.

We hope that you’ll join us in Chicago!

Now we’re getting down to the nitty-gritty in my “Planning Your Network Success” series of blog posts. That’s because we’ve reached the essential element of trust in recruiting.

Trust also happens to be one of The Four Pillars of Top Echelon Network. (The other three are Quality, Communication, and Active Participation.)

This week, we’re going to examine the element—and the Pillar—of Trust as it pertains to the five stages of a networker.

That analysis is below. You’ll notice that a Stage 4 Networker and a Stage 5 Networker are pretty much the same in terms of Trust.

That’s because when it comes to networking, Trust is one of the most important factors involved, especially if that networking is going to lead to split placements.

Stage 1 Networker

They are normally non-trusting of other recruiters. They are reluctant to openly share candidate contact information and company names.

Stage 2 Networker

They are willing to share to some degree, but are still cautious and will hold back their best candidates and best job orders. They will reluctantly share the name of a client with another recruiter.

Stage 3 Networker

These recruiters are willing to share most of their candidates and job orders. They will still hold back some of their exceptional items for themselves.

They have no problem sharing the name of a company with their peers. In addition, they are not overly concerned about somebody “ripping them off.”

Stage 4 Networker

They are willing to share ALL of their candidates and job orders and will not hold back their exceptional items for themselves. They share everything.

Stage 5 Networker

The same as a Stage 4 Networker, they are willing to share ALL of their candidates and job orders. They will not hold back their exceptional items for themselves. They share everything!

In my next blog post in this series, I’ll examine the essential element of effort.

If you have any questions in the meantime—about this blog post, about the five stages of a networker, or about your split recruiting membership—please contact me.

You can do so by calling 330.595.1742 or by sending an email to drea@topechelon.com.

We’re all about tradition here at Top Echelon, and one of the traditions we love is attending the annual National Association of Personnel Services (NAPS) Conference!

And yes, we’ll be at the 2022 NAPS Conference, which is scheduled for Sunday, October 2, through Tuesday, October 4. The location is the Westin Alexandria Old Town in Old Town Alexandria, VA.

This year’s jam-packed event will feature a number of benefits for professional recruiters and search consultants:

  • 20 of the recruiting industry’s leading speakers
  • CPC, CTS, and CERS certification sessions
  • Networking lunches
  • Fast-track speaker breakouts
  • An “Owner/Manager Workshop”
  • And a whole lot more!

Todd Bossler

Todd Bossler

And don’t forget that Top Echelon’s very own Todd Bossler will be presenting a training session at the NAPS Conference!

The title of Todd’s session is “Sourcing and Geek Shortcuts for a Faster Desk.” Todd is scheduled to present this session from 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday, October 4.

In addition, Top Echelon Software and Top Echelon Network are both Gold sponsors of the NAPS Conference. Top Echelon has been a sponsor of the conference and a staunch supporter of the organization almost since Top Echelon was founded in 1988.

Click here to register for the NAPS Conference!

If you have any questions about this event, please contact Carolyn Boyer. You can do so by calling 844.NAPS360 or by sending an email to cboyer@naps360.org.

Since its inception in 1961, the National Association of Personnel Services has built a reputation as being the educator for the executive search and staffing industry. NAPS has accomplished this not only through its annual conference, but also through its certification program and emphasis on continuing education.

If you’re not attending Top Echelon Connect 2022 in Chicago, then perhaps you’ll be at the NAPS Conference. And if you are, we hope to see you there!
