Early Bird Registration for the 2015 Top Echelon Network Fall Conference has begun, and recruiters have already started signing up for the event!

In case you don’t know, you can register for the conference in the Members’ Area.  The links are located on the left-hand side of the page, and you can sign up with a credit card.

As always, we’ve kept the price of attending the Fall Conference low.  In fact, we’ve hardly raised the price during the past 10 years.  The cost is just $225 per person.

Barb Bruno, CPC/CTS of Good as Gold Training is the keynote speaker for the conference.  Barb has served as the speaker at both the Top Echelon National Convention and Fall Conference in the past, and she’s a proven veteran of the recruiting industry.

In fact, Barb is back again with another video message this week.  In this video, she discusses the value that attending the Fall Conference offers and what benefits recruiters can expect to receive if the attend.

Without further adieu, take it away, Barb . . .

At Top Echelon Network, we recognize recruiters for both monthly and quarterly performance in four categories—Recruiter of the Month, Recruiter of the Quarter, Largest Split Fee of the Month, and Largest Split Fee of the Quarter.

Last week, I talked about giving credit where credit is due.  Well, we’re going to give some more credit again this week.

Namely because Trey Cameron of the Cameron Craig Group has set another record.

Believe it or not, this one might be even more impressive than the others.  That’s because while Trey is once again the Recruiter of the Quarter for the second quarter of 2015, that’s not the big news.

The big news is that Trey has made 105 split placements in 12 months in Top Echelon Network.  Below are his placement totals during the past four consecutive quarters:

3Q of 2014—18
4Q of 2014—36
1Q of 2015—19
2Q of 2015—32

Add them all up, and you get 105, more than enough to set a new Top Echelon record that will probably never be broken . . . unless Trey breaks it himself, of course.

As of right now, Trey has made 333 placements in the Network and has billed $2.5 million.  About the only record left is billing $1 million through the Network during a 12-month period.  While he’s currently close to that plateau, he would have to make an average of 30 placements every quarter to reach it.

But at this point, don’t put it past him.

Recruiter of the Quarter:

Trey Cameron of the Cameron Craig Group

Trey made 32 split placements in Top Echelon Network during the second quarter of 2015, which as was noted above, is only the second-most number of placements made in Top Echelon in a single quarter.  (Trey also holds the top mark with 36 placements.)

Steve Kohn of Affinity Executive Search and Bill Kubena of Kubena & Associates tied for second place with eight split placements during the second quarter, while Sean Napoles, CPC of Career Brokers, Inc. was next with six splits.

Largest Split Fee of the Quarter:

Greta Guimond of Career Development Partners

Greta Guimond of firm name here and Debi Apple of Apple & Associates, Inc.

The position for this split placement was a Senior Chemical Engineering Manager.  Guimond was the job order recruiter, and Apple was the candidate recruiter.  The action that stimulated this split placement was listed as, “Another TEN Member’s Hiring Hook website.”

Top Echelon Network determines the monthly and quarterly award winners based upon two criteria, which are listed below in order of importance:

1.) The number of split placements made
2.) The amount of “cash-in” dollars earned as a result of those split placements

This explains why, when multiple recruiters are tied with the same number of split placements during a given month or quarter, the recruiter with the largest “cash-in” total for their placements is deemed the winner.

As the demand for contractors continues to increase, clients are getting more picky about the vendors they select to supply them with the help they need.  One issue that we’re seeing companies scrutinize more closely is the Certificate of Insurance.

A Certificate of Insurance is a document that proves that the vendor is insured to take on the liability associated with employing the contractors.

When you place contract candidates, most major clients will want to see a Certificate of Insurance to assure that all of the insurance policies are current and have acceptable dollar limits.  You will need to have one if you are running your own back-office.

Typically, companies will not work with vendors that do not meet certain insurance requirements.  These requirements usually include the following, at a minimum:

► Professional Liability
► Commercial Excess Liability
► Employer Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI)
► Automobile Insurance
► Forgery and Bonding

These requirements prevent many smaller firms from taking contract job orders because this coverage is very expensive.  But it is not necessary for you to purchase insurance to meet your clients’ needs.

You can outsource the employment of your contractors to a reputable contract staffing back-office that will then be responsible for carrying the required insurances.  For example, Top Echelon Contracting carries a comprehensive Certificate of Insurance that meets the requirements of most companies.

Don’t let the cost of insurance coverage rob you of the consistent cash flow that contract staffing can provide.  Let a contract staffing back-office (such as Top Echelon Contracting) take on that responsibility so you can enjoy all of the advantages contract staffing has to offer.
