This month marks a special milestone for Top Echelon (including TE Network and TE Recruit): our 38th birthday!

Top Echelon President Mark Demaree

Mark Demaree

Reaching nearly four decades in business is something we’re incredibly proud of,  but the truth is, this accomplishment doesn’t belong to us alone. It belongs to the thousands of recruiters who have trusted Top Echelon to be part of their businesses over the years. Our customers are the reason we’re here today, and they’re the reason we continue moving forward.

Since the beginning, our mission has been simple and unwavering: help recruiters make more placements.

While technology has changed dramatically over the past 38 years, that mission has not.

When Top Echelon started in 1988, recruiting looked very different than it does today. Recruiters relied on fax machines, landline phones, and stacks of paper resumes. Job orders were shared by phone or mail, and communication often meant waiting days (not seconds) for information to arrive.

Then came email, which transformed how recruiters communicated with clients and candidates. The Internet followed, making it possible to search for talent and opportunities in ways that were previously unimaginable. Online job boards and digital databases replaced file cabinets full of resumes.

As technology continued to evolve, cloud computing changed how recruiting firms managed their operations. Applicant tracking systems made it easier to organize candidates, manage pipelines, and streamline recruiting workflows. Mobile technology allowed recruiters to work from virtually anywhere. Video interviewing became common, enabling faster and more flexible communication with candidates and clients.

Today, we’re seeing the rise of artificial intelligence, automation, and advanced data tools that help recruiters source candidates, manage relationships, and operate more efficiently than ever before.

Through all of these technological shifts, Top Echelon has continued to evolve alongside the recruiting industry. We’ve adopted new technologies, built new tools, and refined our solutions to help recruiters stay competitive in a constantly changing landscape.

But one thing has never changed: our purpose.

Top Echelon exists to help recruiters succeed. Everything we do—from our recruiting network to our software—is designed with one goal in mind: helping recruiters make more placements.

That focus has remained the same since day one.

We’re not in the technology business for the sake of technology. We’re in the business of helping recruiters. The tools and platforms we build are simply ways to support that mission.

And that mission will never change.

The recruiting industry has seen countless changes over the past 38 years, and there will undoubtedly be many more in the years ahead. New technologies will emerge, new challenges will arise, and the way recruiters work will continue to evolve.

But no matter what the future brings, Top Echelon will remain focused on the same goal that started it all: helping recruiters succeed.

To every recruiter who has been part of our journey, whether you joined us decades ago or just recently, thank you. Your trust, loyalty, and dedication to your profession are what have made these 38 years possible.

Top Echelon has been helping recruiters for nearly four decades, and as long as recruiters need support, collaboration, and tools to make more placements, we’ll be here to provide it.

Because helping recruiters isn’t just what we do.

It’s who we are.

The grass is green. The sky is blue. And recruiter Amy Chapman of Key People Staffing makes earns big split placement fees in TE Network.

Top Echelon Content and Communications Manager Matthew Deutsch

Matthew Deutsch

Want more proof? (Of Amy’s fees, I mean . . . not the grass or the sky.) Then simply look at the Largest Split Fees of the Month in TE Network for February. Once again, Amy is in the top five, and once again, once again, she was part of the largest split fee of the month.

Amy made that split with Irina Kirnos of Executive Placement Network. The duo placed a Director of Technical Services to earn a $50,000 fee at 25%. What’s even more interesting is that this split represents the first split that Irina has made in TE Network!

So it doesn’t matter if you’ve made a bunch of splits in the Network or zero splits . . . the Largest Split Fee of the Month could be right around the corner.

As a friendly reminder, Top Echelon determines the monthly and quarterly winners of its TE Network split fee recruiting awards in four distinct categories:

1.) Recruiter of the Month
2.) Largest Split Fee of the Month
3.) Recruiter of the Quarter
4.) Largest Split Fee of the Quarter

We only announce the winners of these awards in The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog. We do so usually (but not always) in the issue following the conclusion of each month and/or quarter.

So congratulations to everybody on the list below for scoring some BIG placement fees during the month!

Brad Dodge of iLocatum Recruiting and Amy Chapman of Key People Staffing have been battling over Recruiter of the Month honors in TE Network for the past several months.

Top Echelon Content and Communications Manager Matthew Deutsch

Matthew Deutsch

If Brad doesn’t win the award, Amy wins the award and vice-versa.

Well, for the month of February, Brad held Amy off to win yet another Recruiter of the Month Award. Brad was part of six split placements during the month, earning more than $60K in fees from those placements.

Amy, meanwhile, was part of four Network splits during the month. Her cash-in total for those four splits was more than $55K.

Will Brad be able to claim another Recruiter of the Month Award in March? Or will Amy dethrone him? Or will some other recruiter take first place?

Tune in to find out!

Here is the information that we include with the Recruiter of the Month feature in TE Network:

  1. The top five (5) recruiters for the month.
  2. The cash-in total for each recruiter during the month. (We base the order of the recruiters on their amount of cash-in dollars, as opposed to the number of split placements they’ve made.)
  3. The number of splits that the recruiters made during the month.
  4. The number of splits each recruiter has made during their TE Network career.
  5. Each recruiter’s cash-in total for their TE Network career.

With this format, it’s more likely that there will be ties among recruiters, especially with those TE Network members who have made split placements with each other.

Once again, congratulations to the recruiters listed below . . . and congratulations to every TE Network member who made a split placement (or multiple splits) during the month!

February 2026 was an exciting month for TE Network, as 37 recruiting agencies became part of our community!

Top Echelon Network Membership Development Coordinator Drea Codispoti, CERS

Drea Codispoti, CPC/CERS

We’re thrilled to welcome these agencies and their recruiters to the network. Our goal is for every new member to thrive within TE Network, just as we want the same success for all of you. There’s a strong possibility that your next split placement could come from a connection with one of these new members. When one recruiter succeeds, the entire network benefits.

Take a few moments to look through the list below and reach out to introduce yourself—especially to recruiters who work in similar specialties. A brief message, a collaborative search, or even a simple introduction could lead to your next reliable trading partner and your next successful split placement.

You can also view the names of agencies applying for membership in the Network Dashboard within the TE Network software. Newly approved member agencies are listed there as well.

We run the names of recruiting agencies applying for membership in the Network Dashboard section of the TE Network software. We list the names of new Network members, as well.

However, we also list our new members in The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog. This list typically includes the:

  • Name of the agency
  • Industries and/or specialties in which the agency operates
  • Names of the recruiters working at the agency
  • Geographic location of the agency

So I’d like to take this moment to congratulate the recruiting agencies listed below and publicly welcome them to TE Network. I look forward to helping them make split placements!

(Note: If you have any questions about reaching out to new members or about your membership in general, please contact me. My contact information is listed at the end of this blog post.)

Why is Steve Brody of Executive Resource Systems headlining the March anniversaries in TE Network?

Top Echelon Content and Communications Manager Matthew Deutsch

Matthew Deutsch

Simply put, Steve is the last remaining Charter Member of Top Echelon.

This means that his agency was one of the first 20 recruiting agencies to join Nationwide Interchange Service (NIS) way back on March 8, 1988. And he has been a member of the Network ever since, through its ups and downs, its name changes, and every technological advance that was supposed to render recruiters obsolete.

However, Steve’s agency is not the only one celebrating a big anniversary this month. Lordan Associates has been a TE Network member for 34 years, which is also an impressive accomplishment, and Easley Resource Group, Inc. has been in Top Echelon for 26 years.

So pop the champagne (or the sparkling cider) and let’s celebrate this month’s anniversaries in TE Network!

Congratulations to all of the agencies celebrating anniversaries in our split fee recruiting network during the month of March!
