“You may have seen it—but Tim Hughes and I just made a split placement and I thought I would brag on Tim a little bit because even though it’s not obvious in the acceptance report, he went ‘above and beyond’ for this one.
“First off, [the candidate] was an H1-B candidate. In my 30+ year career as a recruiter, I have only placed one other H1-B visa candidate, it almost never happens in the Chemicals industry. Second, this deal was dead at one point. [The candidate] had been negotiating pretty hard and gotten the offer taken off the table, and I thought it was dead . . .
“Tim got the parties back together and revived the deal, and [the candidate] ended up taking the offer that the company came back with. I was really impressed with Tim’s tenacity on this one. I think he really did an excellent job!”
