Early Bird Registration for Vegas Extended to September 3!

Mark DemareeIt will be September before you know it.  Not only does that mean summer is coming quickly to a close, it also means that the Top Echelon Network Las Vegas Conference is right around the corner.  In fact, the conference is scheduled for Thursday, September 23, and Friday, September 24, at the The Mirage.

If you register for the conference before 5 p.m., Eastern Standard Time on Friday, September 3, you can take advantage of the Early Bird Registration price of $99 per person.  (Conversely, if you wait until the Regular Registration period, the price increases to $129 per person.)

Regardless of what kind of year you’ve been experiencing on your desk so far this year, the conference affords an opportunity for you to end 2010 on a high note and build momentum for next year.  That’s because not only will you have the chance to network with other Preferred Members of Top Echelon, but you’ll also have the chance to listen to one of the leading trainers in the industry, Greg Doersching of The Griffin Search Group.

And Greg will be talking about two of the hottest topics in recruiting right now—social media and client development.  Recruiters everywhere are looking for the best ways to make more placements through the various social media platforms, and they’re also looking for new ways in which to further cultivate and grow their client base.  Greg will provide plenty of ideas about how to do both in Las Vegas.  Below are the official descriptions of his sessions:

Greg Doersching“Social Media Recruiting—A Real World Guide”
What’s the buzz? What’s the trend? What’s the latest thing? In the world of recruiting, social media is the latest “hot thing” that recruiters the world over are talking about. Ten years ago, it was Monster and CareerBuilder and other job boards. Five years ago, it was Vendor Management Systems and places like BountyJobs.com . . . and as we’ve learned from the past, the hype and fear rarely equal the reality of these trends once time and practicality start to shake them out a bit. Join Greg as he takes you on an in-depth look at the good and the bad of social media. What can work? How do we use it? What do we HAVE to do? What should we avoid? This will be a practical guide about how to make money with social media and how to avoid the time-consuming and low-return activities that can easily distract you in the social media playground.

“Five Little Tricks to Get and Keep Clients”
They say it’s the little things that matter. Join Greg as he gives you five tricks that absolutely separate you from other recruiters. These are all ideas that can be sold as a “value-add” to new customers, and once your clients see them in practice, they’ll come back to you time and time again. If you’re sitting there right now thinking, “It’s Doersching–we’ve heard his ideas before,” NO, YOU HAVEN’T. These are the things that Greg has kept up his sleeve, and now he’s going to lay them all out for you, the Preferred Members of Top Echelon Network. You don’t want to miss this session!

That’s not all you’ve get at the Vegas Conference.  You’ll also be able to enjoy all of the other features and benefits of attending a Top Echelon Conference event, such as the Icebreaker Reception on Thursday night, Internet Strategies Manager Todd Bossler’s “Big Biller Power User Session” on Thursday afternoon (just click on the appropriate box during the registration process; the cost is $20 per person), and other training sessions regarding the various Top Echelon tools and services.

Remember, one of the reasons we went to this smaller regional format for our conferences this year is that we wanted to bring the events to YOU.  We realize the toll that the recession took on the recruiting industry and how valuable flexibility is for you and your firm.  If you’re located on the West Coast or in the western part of the United States, I encourage you to take this opportunity to invest in your Top Echelon Network Membership.

Throughout the years, we’ve witnessed the benefits that attending these types of events can produce.  All it takes is one encounter with another recruiter or one tidbit of training information that can lead to one placement or several placements.  However, you can’t enjoy these benefits unless you make the decision to attend.
