Another Round of Hall of Fame Inductees

There are only a couple more weeks left until TE Connect Fall 2024 in Canton! That means there are only a couple more weeks of Top Echelon Hall of Fame induction announcements left!

And yes, I know . . . the last few times, I’ve withheld the names of the recruiters and/or agencies being inducted in the introduction to The Pinnacle Newsletter Blog posts.

But after some reflection and soul-searching, I’ve decided that in this issue of The Pinnacle and with this particular blog post, I’m going to do exactly the same thing.

But there are only three recruiters being inducted this week!

So there isn’t too much reading to do . . .

DAN THE MAN: Many of the recruiters who have been the most successful in Top Echelon’s recruiting network are those who have been able to adapt during their careers. After all, the recruiting profession is filled with ups and downs, both on a daily basis and also when projected over the course of an entire career.

Dan Simmons, CPC of Continental Search & Outplacement, Inc. is one of those recruiters who has been able to adapt. Dan started in the recruiting profession in 1991 and his agency joined the Network five years later.

Dan initially specialized in Information Technology, but when the dot.com bubble burst during the recession that started in 2001, he was forced to pivot. And he did so with a high level of success, both inside and outside of the Network, changing his niche by recruiting in Animal Agriculture and all the disciplines within it.

Dan made a total of 195 TE placements during his time in the Network. As a result, he finished as one of the all-time cash-in leaders in the Network.

According to Top Echelon President Mark Demaree, Dan’s loyalty and commitment to the Network was only matched by his desire to help his trading partners and make split placements with other recruiters.

“Dan Simmons always actively looked to leverage all the tools and resources that Top Echelon offered in an effort to grow his business, and he was very successful in doing so,” said Mark. “He positioned himself as a leader within the Network during his time in TE and he made numerous contributions to the Top Echelon community.”

We at Top Echelon are pleased to announce the induction of Dan Simmons into the Top Echelon Hall of Fame as a member of the 2024 class!

ALL IN THE FAMILY: Top Echelon Network was founded as Nationwide Interchange Service (NIS) on March 8, 1988.

On January 1, 1989, recruiting agency Markent Personnel in Madison, Wisconsin joined the Network, just missing out on becoming a Charter Member.

The owner of the firm at that time was Tom Udulutch. Tom enjoyed a successful recruiting career, which included making 94 placements within Top Echelon Network. Tom’s son, Mark, became a recruiter in 1994, joining his father at Markent Personnel.

During the course of the next 30 years, Mark has made 114 TE placements, securing his place in the Top Echelon Hall of Fame!

Mark graduated from Marquette Law School in 1990 and then spent a year working as a judicial clerk at the Wisconsin Court of Appeals. He worked for Markent Personnel while waiting to leave for the Peace Corps service in Morocco. Upon returning to the United States in the fall of 1994, Mark began working as a professional recruiter at Markent Personnel.

While his father Tom has passed on, Mark has taken over the reigns of Markent Personnel and continues to excel, both inside and outside of Top Echelon Network.

According to Top Echelon President and CEO Mark Demaree, Mark has been a model of consistency, professionalism, and production during his 30 years as a Network member.

“Mark Udulutch and Markent Personnel have a rich legacy within Top Echelon Network,” said Mark. “Their names are synonymous with the success of the Network, which Mark has helped to build with his talent and expertise over the years.”

We at Top Echelon are pleased to announce the induction of Mark Udulutch into the Top Echelon Hall of Fame as a member of the 2024 class!

SLICE OF SUCCESS: Kerry Boehner of KOB Solutions, Inc. in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania joined Top Echelon Network in 2010. The United States (and much of the world, by extension) was facing the consequences of the Economic Crisis. The Great Recession had begun, and Kerry was looking for ways that she and her agency could persevere in the midst of adversity.

“I joined the Network back in 2010 during the economic crisis,” she said. “It was a challenging time for everyone, and I knew I had to change how I was working.”

And change she did, to the point where Kerry has now made 104 TE placements since joining the Network 14 years ago.

“I’ve really enjoyed being part of the Network for the last 14+ years,” said Kerry. “My business would not be where it is today without the support of the Network and camaraderie of the many TE recruiters I’ve worked with over the years.”

You know the old adage: people do business with people they like. That’s why the relationships and friendships that recruiters build in Top Echelon Network have both professional and personal ramifications.

“Whether it’s doing splits or sharing best practices, TE Network has enabled me to take my firm to new levels,” said Kerry. “I am always looking for ways to improve how I serve my clients and candidates, and the interaction with so many amazing recruiter friends continues to inspire me to grow professionally. Thank you, TE, for providing this framework for success!”

Ultimately, Kerry is a split-minded recruiter with a passion for what she does as a professional search consultant. Not only does she enjoy being successful, but she also enjoys helping others become successful, as well, including her trading partners within Top Echelon Network.

“The world is a big pizza, and there are enough slices for everyone,” Kerry said. “We can all be successful!”

We at Top Echelon are pleased to announce the induction of Kerry Boehner into the Top Echelon Hall of Fame as a member of the 2024 class!

“Many thanks to Top Echelon for this honor!” added Kerry.
