We at Top Echelon are pleased to announce that a record has been broken. That record?

The largest split placement fee in Top Echelon Network history . . . and the last remaining Charter Member of the Network was part of it!

Steve Brody of Steve Brody was one of 20 recruiting agencies that joined the Network on March 8, 1988. And now, more than 35 years later, he’s helped to set a Top Echelon record that may never be broken.

Steve and split recruiting partner Trish Kuykendall of Source Financial Staffing recently placed a Tax Partner to earn a placement fee of $100,917! After Top Echelon’s 6% brokerage fee, each recruiter took home the tidy sum of $47,431.

Trust me when I say there is a lot to “unpack” with this story, which is why this won’t be the last time you hear about it. We’ll be sharing more details in the coming weeks, but here are some “sneak-peek details”:

  • This was Trish’s very first split placement in Top Echelon Network!
  • The placement fee broke the record set by Ron Sunshine of Ron Sunshine Associates, LLC and Norma Wallis of LME Resources, LLC. Ron and Norma placed a Vice President of Sales in 2016 to generate a fee of $95,000.
  • Steve has reached another milestone in Top Echelon, as he is now part of the Million Dollar Club in terms of cash-in through the Network. (He had already been a member of the 100 Placement Club.)
  • Needless to say—but I’m saying it, anyway—this is the first time that a Top Echelon Network placement fee has reached the $100K plateau.

But of course, this was not the only large placement fee in the Network during the month of August. There are more big fees below upon which you can feast your eyes . . .

Once upon a time, Trey Cameron of Cameron Craig Group was routinely crowned as the Recruiter of the Month, Recruiter of the Quarter, and Recruiter of the Year.

Then, Michael Stuck of Gables Search Group dethroned Trey and took his place, winning those awards with regularity during the past couple of years. Now, though, at least for the month of August, Trey is back on top.

As you can see below, Trey earned Recruiter of the Month honors, beating out Michael and three other contenders. One of those contenders was Charter Member Steve Brody, who made the most of the Largest Split Fee in Top Echelon Network History, helping him to gain a spot in the top five.

Below is the information that we include with the Recruiters of the Month feature in Top Echelon Network:

  1. The top five (5) recruiters for the month.
  2. The “cash-in” total for each recruiter during the month. (We base the order of the recruiters on their amount of “cash-in” dollars, as opposed to the number of split placements they made.)
  3. The number of splits that the recruiters made during the month.
  4. The number of splits each recruiter has made during their Network career.
  5. Each recruiter’s “cash-in” total for their Network career.

With this format, there are more than likely going to be ties among recruiters, especially with those Network members who have made split placements with each other.

“This Week’s Top Echelon Network Split Placements” . . . what a boring title for a blog post.

After all, last week the title of the blog post for Network split placements was “The ‘Steves’ Dominate This Week’s Split Placements.” It told the tale of split placements made by Network members named Steve, including Steve Kohn of Affinity Executive Search, Inc.; Steve Schroeder of Stratus Staffing; and Steve Schanz of CPS Recruitment.

So, in light of recent developments in Top Echelon Network, perhaps a snazzier title for this week’s blog post would be, “One Steve to Rule Them All.”

Steve Kohn might have something to say about that, but Charter Member Steve Brody was recently part of the Largest Split Fee in Top Echelon Network History. AND he also recently eclipsed the $1 million cash-in mark for his Network career.

After all, this is all in good fun, anyway, right? Oh, yeah, the money, too . . . can’t forget about the money.
