Believe me, we encourage communication between TE Network recruiters. We want you to exchange information.

After all, we believe in the mantra “iron sharpens iron.”

However, there’s a delicate balance that needs to be struck. A recruiter’s time is extremely important to them, and although Network members want to help each other when they can, there’s a limit to what they can do.

This is especially the case in regards to asking another Network member about their niche.

Let’s say that you want to change your niche. So you call another TE Network recruiter already in that niche with the intention of “picking their brain” for information.

You might choose to call a particular person for a number of reasons, such as the fact they’ve worked in that niche for a long time and/or they’ve enjoyed a measure of success working in it.

That makes perfect sense. Of course, you’re going to want to talk with the people who’ve enjoyed success in a particular niche if you’re just starting out in that niche. And we WANT you to talk to that person, so don’t feel badly or guilty if you’ve called another recruiter asking for information.

BUT we want you to understand that the recruiter can’t train you on how to recruit in that niche. That would be time-prohibitive.

We decided to address this issue because it happens in the Network more often than you might think. And the recruiters who initiate the conversation have good intentions and mean well. They’re not being malicious in any way.

It’s just in their eagerness and zest to learn the ins and outs of a new niche, they don’t take into consideration the investment of time that they’re asking the other recruiter to make.

With all of that in mind, if you’re considering making a change in your niche and you’d like to draw upon the experience and expertise of other recruiters in the Network, give me a call first.

I’d be happy to chat with you about your plans for this new niche, especially within TE Network, as well as which recruiters you’d like to call and how you’d like to approach them. Relationships in Top Echelon’s recruiter network are valuable. The Network was built upon them, and they hold the key to success as a Network member.

Communication is essential for building these relationships, but not communicating in the correct fashion can erode relationships, not build them.

As we continue heading into the second half of the year, I am here to deliver a bit of good news . . . as a result of my recent conversations with TE Network members, there are many who are optimistic about the next six months and the beginning of 2026.

And despite everything that’s happened (and continues to happen) this year, TE Network recruiters are still making placements.

Not only that, but more agencies continue to join TE as Network members. AND we look forward to more growth throughout the rest of this year and into 2026.

What does all of this this mean?

For one thing, it means that Network recruiters are serious about making split placements. Splits are an integral part of their business model, and they strive to make as many of them as they can.

You might think this is premature, but 2026 will be here before you know it. That is why NOW is the time to put your trust in your split recruiting partners and other TE Network members.

Those recruiters who were not serious about making splits have left the Network. Believe me, the screening process for Network membership is NOT any easier.

When you’re working with another Network recruiter, you might discover that they don’t work exactly the same way that you do. That’s bound to happen with as many recruiters as there are in Top Echelon.

Just because they don’t work exactly the same way that you do, it doesn’t mean you should automatically distrust them. You just work differently.

However, I must point out that if you do have a concern about another TE Network member, then you should contact me.

If you think that another member may not be operating in an ethical manner, go through the proper channels by contacting me. (My contact information is listed below.)

We take meticulous notes on Network members and the activity that occurs between TE Network recruiters. When you contact me about a situation as it arises, you ensure that we will take the proper steps in reaching a resolution (if a conflict does arise).

Trust is one of the The Four Pillars of TE Network, and it’s arguably the most important one. The more you trust other Network members, especially your trading partners, the more success you can experience.

So remember . . . NOW is the time to reach out to other Network recruiters.

NOW is the time to be as split-minded as you’ve ever been.

And NOW is the time to decide whether or not to make TE a bigger part of your business model.

Let’s make the rest of 2025 the best that it can be!

And if you have any questions or concerns, NOW is the time to contact me at 330.595.1742 or via email at drea@topechelon.com.
