Top Echelon Network recruiters continue to earn large placement fees, and we have yet more evidence this week!

That’s because Network members Carol McBride of RCC Group, LLC and Phil Hurd of Oculus Search Partners, LLC placed a VP of Accounting. Carol and Phil generated a $50K fee at 25% for placing that candidate, earning them the largest split placement of the week.

However, that was not the only sizeable fee that Network recruiters made recently. Cathy George, CPC of C.G. & Company and Brad Dodge of iLocatum placed an ASME Code Vessel Designer to earn a $33,800 fee at 25%.

Congratulations are also in order for Donna Coleman of Donna Coleman and Associates, who made her first-ever split placement as a member of Top Echelon Network!

As a friendly neighborhood reminder, here is the information that we publish with our weekly placements:

  • Names of the split recruiting partners involved (with their profile photos, when available)
  • Job title
  • Overall placement fee (before TE’s 6% brokerage fee, of course)
  • Fee percentage

Please note that the placements listed below reflect deals finalized in Top Echelon Network for the period from April 24 through April 30, 2023.

Remember, if you don’t want information related to your Network placements published in The Pinnacle, please send an email to marketing@topechelon.com to that effect.

Congratulations to everybody below for the split placements they made in Top Echelon Network!

If you’re a newer Network member and you’d like to enjoy more success in our recruiter network, then I encourage you to contact Top Echelon Director of Network Operations Drea Codispoti, CPC/CERS.

You can do so by calling 330.595.1742 or by sending an email to drea@topechelon.com.

There’s a reason why Communication is one of the The Four Pillars of Top Echelon Network.

That reason: communication with a trading partner is the number-one way in which split placements happen between Network members.

This is true both statistically and philosophically. However, it’s not just communication between members that’s important, either. That’s what I’d like to address in this blog post.

It’s also essential that communication with another member’s candidate is handled properly and in line with Top Echelon Network Policies.

With that in mind, take the following three steps when contacting another recruiter’s candidate:

1. Identify yourself (your name and your agency’s name).

2. Explain that you’re working with the recruiter who sent you the candidate. That way, the candidate will have a better idea of who you are and why you’re calling. Make sure to identify the other recruiter by their name and their agency’s name.

3. Let the candidate know what your role in the process will be and what they can expect from you.

While all of the above steps are crucial when communicating with another recruiter’s candidate, there’s something even more important you must do after that.

You must keep the other recruiter apprised of the situation!

Why is all of this important? For two main reasons:

#1—It eliminates confusion.

A split placement involves more people and moving parts than a regular placement. As a result, confusion is more likely to occur. This is the case in regards to both the candidate and the recruiter who submitted the candidate to you.

#2—It builds trust.

Quality communication leads to the type of trust that can result in not just one placement, but multiple placements. Forging a split recruiting relationship that leads to multiple placements should be the goal of every Network member.

If you’re part of a recruiting agency with multiple recruiters, make sure that every recruiter in the office is aware of the importance of this practice and that they follow this practice.

In addition, make certain that adequate notes have been taken regarding each candidate. This way, all recruiters within the agency will know where the candidate originated.

If you have any questions about this issue or about your Top Echelon recruiting network membership, I encourage you to contact me.

You can do so by calling 330.595.1742 or by sending an email to drea@topechelon.com.

We’re continuously updating both the Top Echelon recruiting software and our split placement network software. So we’re pleased to announce the following software updates!

1. Test messaging templates

Text messaging templates allow you to save time when contacting your candidates via SMS message. Create and save messages that you frequently send, so you can easily reuse them whenever you want.

2. Checkr integration

Integrating your Checkr account with Top Echelon Recruiting Software will allow you to carry out fast, efficient pre-employment background checks without leaving the Top Echelon interface.

3. Google Meet virtual meeting links

Add virtual Google Meet links to Scheduled Activities while sending calendar event invitations.

4. Inactivity timeout changes

In the interest of enhanced security and protection of your data, we will be making some changes that will affect how often you log in. The system inactivity timeout will be decreased to 18 hours. The amount of time your login credentials will be remembered by clicking the “Remember me” checkbox will also be decreased to 30 days. These changes will go into effect on Saturday, April 28, when you may be automatically logged out. To prepare for this change, we highly recommend making sure you know your password. If you’re not sure, you can change your password now.

5. Top Echelon support chat

Clicking the chat bubble in the main navigation bar now allows you to reach out to our support team via live chat or email, all without leaving your current page.

6. Top Echelon Partnership Program

As part of our new partnership program, you can refer people to our recruiting software and receive 20% commission for the first year. Click HERE and complete the application to join our new partner program. After you join, our team will reach out to you and schedule a quick 15-minute call, during which they’ll walk you through the process.

7. BETA: Microsoft Teams virtual meeting links

Add a virtual Microsoft Teams link to Scheduled Activities while sending calendar event invitations.

(If you’re interested in Beta testing Microsoft Teams links in calendar invites, email us at beta@topechelon.com.)

Remember, you can always stay informed about software updates by visiting the official Top Echelon Product Updates page. You can see current and past updates, as well as which updates and upgrades are next.

I’m pleased to announce the Virtual Core Group (VCG) meeting schedule for the month of May!

For those of you who don’t know, Top Echelon Network recruiters share the following information during Virtual Core Group teleconference call meetings:

  • Hot job orders and candidates
  • Information about the activity they’re seeing in the marketplace and/or in their niche
  • Ideas for increased production on their desks and within their agencies

These are the activities that lead most directly to making more split placements in Top Echelon Network.

So that is why I’m inviting—or in other words, strongly encouraging—you to attend one of May’s Virtual Core Group meetings. Below is the complete VCG schedule for May including the industries involved and the time that each meeting will be held. (Note: all times are Eastern.)

Wednesday, May 10:

  • 1:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. — Manufacturing/Engineering
  • 2:30 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. — Information Technology
  • 3:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. — Biotechnology/Pharmacology

Thursday, May 11:

Google Meeting link: https://meet.google.com/qba-qdic-kou

Below is the agenda for each Virtual Core Group meeting:

  1. Welcome
  2. Roll call of the members
  3. I will share the newest software updates for both Top Echelon Network and the Top Echelon recruiting software.
  4. Members will share their hot jobs with corresponding group discussion.
  5. I will direct a software and Network protocol Q&A session to close the call.

It is my goal that this agenda will help you take away more from the meeting than just hot jobs and/or candidates. Hopefully, it will help make you more knowledgeable in terms of the Top Echelon community.

If you’d like to join one of the groups listed above or if you’d like to start a new group, please contact me.

You can do so by calling 330.595.1742 or by sending an email to drea@topechelon.com.
